I was on the hunt for a salon who could do a touch up on my roots and maybe refresh my balayage, but the salon that did my hair last was completely booked up. I called Salon Halo and had a pleasant greeting from the receptionist (who I think was named Rachel but I'm not positive). She was able to arrange an appointment with the amazing Angela with just 45 minutes notice. Angela was a dream to work with. She gave me a full consultation which ensured my comfort prior to her working with my hair. She was very knowledgeable and a great listener, all traits that I look for in any stylist. She was easy to converse with and made my experience at the salon memorable and one to return for. We worked together to decide on the necessary color for my roots in order for them to most effectively blend with the rest of the hair. She applied a toner to the remainder of the hair and I was very pleased with the results. My hair, which was originally brown with caramel balayage, had turned brassy and orange. She revived my hair and trimmed my ends to give me an overall refresh that I desperately needed this holiday season. I will definitely be back to Salon Halo for my next Balayage treatment! read more

Jessie presented herself to be a level five specialist for curly hair . 04//14/26 . So I trusted that and trusted her to give me a haircut unfortunately, I was super disappointed.. It was my first time at a salon. I am actually a hairstylist myself. Usually I do my own hair but overall again I can't see the back of my head like somebody else would, so I trusted Jessie . The haircut didn't turn out the way I expected, and it's affected my confidence more than I anticipated. I've been feeling pretty self-conscious since getting it done, I'm disappointed with the result . I want to share my experience respectfully. Unfortunately, the service I received here did not meet my expectations, and I left feeling very disappointed with the result. Based on my experience, I would not personally recommend this place. I am naturally a medium to dark brunette, and my appointment was for a light brown, golden-blonde balayage. I was at the salon for almost the entire day about eight hours to complete the service, which is not typical. At other salons, balayage services on my hair have taken three to four hours at most. After the service, I was encouraged to return in three months for what was described as a refresh, which was explained to me as removing any brassiness and maintaining the existing balayage. When I returned for that appointment, my hair was instead colored back to my natural dark brown, completely removing the balayage. This was not what had been explained to me, nor what I had agreed to. When I expressed my concerns, the response from the staff was unkind and dismissive, and there was no willingness to take responsibility or offer a meaningful solution. No effort was made to correct the situation or acknowledge how upsetting this experience was. I ultimately had to file a dispute with my bank because the salon was unwilling to work toward a fair resolution, and I will now need to find another salon to perform a color correction. Because of this experience, I do not recommend this salon. Based on what I observed, there is a lack of professionalism and integrity, and my concerns were met with dismissiveness rather than accountability. New to town and tried this place out and will NOT return. I wanted my blonde highlights touched up and told the colorist exactly that. I loved the color, just needed the outgrowth to be gone, literally walked over to the mirror, pointed at my hair and said, just make it all like this.. oddly you're not seated in front of a mirror, but like in the middle of the salon facing a wall, so as I knew that I'd been there for a long time and could feel a ton of foils, I didn't really know that she'd basically colored my entire head, this is NOT what highlights are!! now I have a full head of like brassy (the exact thing I said I didn't want) Orange-ish all over color. it looks like bad box color. in addition, this is the MOST expensive salon visit I've ever had (I'm from a big city and went to very nice salons) and this place isn't even that great. it's a hole in the wall in a suburban strip mall. there's nothing fancy about this place and the price was shocking, there were several add-ons and after being there for about four hours I was more than happy to just pay and leave. I am giving this business one star because of their customer service. Positively atrocious. I recently moved from New York and have been looking for my stylist. Reading the reviews about the stylists i wanted to give this place a try. I called to make an appointment, but a very snooty rude front desk person interrupted me in the middle of the conversation, TWICE, to say can I put you on hold I have someone at the desk. Both times I said yes, patiently waited, and the second time someone else got on the phone and told me the front desk was extremely busy handling clients and they would call me back. No. Sorry that doesn't work for me. I called in between meetings. I can't be waiting for a callback that I can't pick up. Now I patiently waited my turn on hold, twice, but clearly IM NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH to have an in person client at the front desk wait for the receptionist to finish her phone conversation with me (which would have taken literally 2 more minutes because we were already talking dates and times with a specific stylist). Abigale does my hair now, and she is just AMAZING at what she does. Please read all reviews. After I submitted mine, I realised other people had experienced the same. I visited Tampa's Salon Halo for a very expensive Keratin treatment. I was highly disappointed with their dishonest charging practices. I scheduled this $300 service online, a credit card was needed to reserve the appointment, and fees "could" be incurred if cancellation was late, which is the normal practice. A few hours before my appointment $75 was charged to my credit card, as a "deposit", without my consent. I received an email with a receipt. After my keratin service was finished, no surprise, I expected those $75 would magically go away. They did, I was charged $66.68 for "overages", the receptionist described this as the products used on my hair, such as shampoo, conditioner, spray and oil to finish. I was was told my stylist used a lot of product on me. I have never been charged for "overages" before, ever! In any salon from NY to the UK. The services always include these "overages", otherwise the client should be given a choice if they would wash their hair and and pay for the shampoo and conditioner used. Probably the most ridiculous and dishonest way to rack up the price that I have ever experienced in any hair salon. But I had the feeling through my appointment, they were after how to add up unnecessary charges. I saw no to haircut, since I had just gotten one, I said no to overpriced products, since I can get them online for half the price. It felt like i just stepped out of used car salesmen dealership. What do you do in a situation like this, do you sit and argue the charges or pay and go your way. Not great way to keep any client happy and returning. But also left me feeling disrespected, taken advantage of, instead of happy and satisfied with the money I had spent to pamper myself. After a few disappointing visits with my previous stylists I decided to branch out and brave a new experience with a new salon. I called and spoke to the salon manager about a few of my concerns and why I was seeking a new stylist, she matched me with Level 3 stylist Brittney Costine. Brittney sat down with me and took the time to talk through my struggles with my blonde. She asked in depth questions about my preferences and asked that I show her pictures of my hair through the last few years as well as pictures of what I'd prefer. I hadn't ever been consulted like that. It was so nice! She explained her plan and asked my opinion and by then I was just so excited to see the end result. She went to work. She suggested an olaplex treatment, which was wonderful. After cut and blow dry, she again asked how I felt. Constantly checking with me to make sure I was satisfied. SO appreciated. They ruined my hair!! They charged me $280 (plus tip) for color and a haircut given by a stylist named Brittney (supposedly an experienced level 4 stylist) that completely damaged my hair. After 5 hours of getting my hair roughly pulled by Brittney and her assistant, I came out with an irritated and widely stained forehead, and extremely dry, brassy hair tips that started breaking and falling off on the following days. Furthermore I had asked her to take off some volume to make my hair feel less heavy, and she used the layering scissors so much and at such weird angles that I now have hundreds of different sized flying hairs resembling brittle split ends. After this complete disaster, I requested a refund from Salo Halo, and the receptionist said they would only redo the color, but would not give me my money back. I explained to him and the stylist, that redoing the color would require additional bleaching and would further damage my hair. Then they both offered just a "repair treatment." I told them that giving me a repair treatment should not cost me any money since my hair was not damaged before their services, and they should still refund my $280. Brittney even requested that I went back to the salon so she could use this as a learning opportunity. I told her I was glad she wanted to advance her education but it should not happen at the customer's expense. The receptionist said he would have to check with the salon owner and would call me back about the refund, but, of course, he did not. When I called again, the receptionist blatantly lied and said he had personally called me back and had left a message indicating that "the salon owner would call me soon." Neither the salon or receptionist ever called back. They keep just ignoring me. Salon Halo did not only ruined my hair but also my Thanksgiving celebration as I went there thinking I would look fabulous to visit family and friends during the holidays, and ended up having everyone's pity for the state of my hair. Avoid this salon at all costs. They're completely deceitful. read more

: Quality I want to be fair because I have had great service here which is why I am so disappointed. I wanted extensions and we went with tape ins. I needed 4 boxes due to my thin hair. So $1130 later, I have my new hair. We decided to go with some highlights in the hair which was great. I went in December 2020 to have them put in. Everything went well but my color didn't match but that is on me. 5 weeks later, another $400 to take the extensions out and put them back. I did have points which covered my color, which still didn't match the extensions, not on me this time. Now this time there were 2 extra pieces with no where to put them. So 2 days later 2 of them fall out. I make an appt to have them put back in at which time, 2 more came falling out in the girls brush. Then we decide to do highlights in my hair to match the extensions. I have very short hair and not alot of it but $115 later for highlights my hair finally matches. So I'm really feeling like my hair doesn't have the volume it had without the missing pieces so I call to have them put back in. Now this has only been less then a week that I paid $400 plus $115 to have them put back in and I was told i needed to pay to have the extensions that fell out less then 2 days after installation to have them put back. Trial and error I am told. Other then that, everyone was very nice and they all work well together. I just feel like I have paid enough so far and it was not due to me that they fell out. So here I am with $1130 worth of hair because I had to find someone else who is licensed to do tape ins, tell me she would put them in for me but because how thin my hair is, I'm not a candidate for tape ins. I realize that now because I always had to work hard to cover the tape ins on top of my head. So now I have purchased new hair and fingers crossed as well anything that falls out within 2 weeks is covered at no cost to me. read more

I have been to some hair dressers that just want to cut it all off. So I took a chance. Anyway, when I first got there they offered me something to drink and Joseph took me to cut my hair. Sarah was very welcoming and she seemed to know exactly what I wanted based on a few questions. She understood I wanted a cut that I could wear straight, curly, or let dry naturally wavy AND was low maintenance. I have been coming to see my stylist here since September 2019. She takes the time to listen, take notes, and is skilled at what she does. My hair is wavy and lifts quickly and she works with my hair very well. With that said, today when I went the owner Ryann was there. I didn't know who she was, but she was very intrusive during my appointment, made it a point to tell me at every turn what color I "couldn't" get (she was wrong, by the way) and acted pushy and intrusive, with a small dab of condescension. It really put a damper on my experience. I have sent two people to drop a lot of money to this salon already and if it weren't for my relationship with my stylist I would not return nor send any future clients. I have natural strawberry blond hair, and made the mistake of constantly wanting it to be blond with no red in it, so I ruined the color with Sun-In in high school. I then decided I wanted to try being brunette, since I had ruined my natural color, and after being brunette for about a year I wanted to go back to my natural color. I had tried a few salons prior to this one, and none seemed to get me to my desired color, plus the colors seemed to fade too quickly. After coming to Salon Halo and getting treated by Alyssa, I now have my natural strawberry blond hair color again, along with a brighter hint of copper. I went in for haircut and a full head of highlights. I was assigned to sit with abigale and from the beginning I got nothing but mistreated. attitude and straight meanness. I'm not thin skinned, but this woman was so hurtful with her words she had me in tears. I told them i needed this to relax and take my mind off of everything I had just lost. Abigale is one of the meanest human beings i've encountered in the industry. I didn't even want to continue with the appointment but since she started with the cut, i let her finish the cut and ended it right there. So no highlights, that's how uncomfortable she made me feel...my boyfriend was waiting in the front buying products and overheard how she was speaking to me and came up and said we will not pay for any other services other than what she had done which was only the cutting of the dead ends. I would never recommend this salon to anyone, I am from out of town and this was my second time here, as well as my last.
