I was looking for a new hairstylist for a Monday morning availability. Searched yelped and Salon Image responded back to my request fairly quickly. Response time is great and communication is great. The stylist I was set up, Tonya, I believe.. (correct me if I'm wrong). She did AMAZING. I had surgery a few years ago and it took a very long time to grow out my hair again, I have very thin Asian hair. I let her know I wanted it short, showed her an inspiration picture and asked her opinion. I originally kind of wanted a side-swept bixie (pixie bob cut). I am so incredibly frustrated with my experience at Salon Image. Salons like this operate like cheap nail salons--they just sit you down, rush through the service, and hurry on to the next customer. It is clearly all about the volume of sales rather than the quality of the work. I went in for a simple trim, explicitly stating I did not want to lose length and just wanted curtain bangs. Instead, the stylist gave me uneven bangs and started using thinning shears on my 2A wavy/straight hair. Anyone who knows hair knows that thinning shears completely ruin the natural wave pattern and volume for this hair type. I reached out to Tammy, who apologized and asked me to come back in so she could fix the bangs. When I showed up on our agreed day, Tammy claimed she was "busy" and pawned me off to another stylist who COMPLETELY BUTCHERED my hair, turning it into a horrible bob. I contacted Tammy a second time to tell her how bad it was and that I now literally have to wear extensions just to mask this terrible haircut. She asked me to come in again so she could fix it. After being messed around, I wasn't about to let them touch my hair for a THIRD time, so I did a no-show. Instead, I went to a competitor salon right around the corner, and that stylist actually knew what they were doing and managed to fix it so it blends with my extensions. I still absolutely hate the haircut itself, but at least it's wearable now. I paid $60 for this nightmare and I deeply regret not demanding my money back. Save your hair and your money and go elsewhere. read more

Really disappointed with my experience here. I went in asking for only 2 inches off since I had very long, thick hair that I'd spent years growing out, but much more was cut than I requested. Thinning shears/texturizing scissors were also used, which removed a lot of my hair's fullness and made it feel much thinner than before. I only wanted a small trim, not a major change in length and density. I just wish there had been better communication and more respect for what I asked for. read more

At first the stylist cut it at a fair length but then proceeded to give me short layers. I'm not one to ever get layers. Now I have to wait for it to grow out. My hair is extremely stubborn thick dry Asian hair that does t take to bleach well and she made magic happen !I had preprocessed hair with a couple month of regrowth but she made my hair look so good she mixed three different level of bleaches to make my hair an even tone. And it doesn't look fried! Which is always something that tends to happen when I get my hair done! Got all my split ends cut off and a nice color! I was told color would be $35 & up ands hair cut would be $35 and up with offered discount since i'm getting both. It was totaled to around $219, so I guess that "& up" left the prices more unpredictable for me. I have very thin hair & my hair was waist length.
