I was recently hospitalized with a badly infected cat bite of the right forearm. Kaiser has a great program for advanced medical care at home and I was discharged with a continuous antibiotic infusion pump so I didn't have to stay in the hospital just for the antibiotics. Yay. However, with a very painful and swollen right hand and forearm and an IV in the left wrist, I couldn't wash and dry my own hair. I searched Yelp for hair blowouts and this place responded quickly and was able to fit me in that afternoon. They were very kind, and Hayley did a good job. Made me feel much better. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this salon and feel obligated to warn other parents. My teenage daughter (who is a minor) went in to have her hair colored. Before the appointment, she was asked to pay a $100 deposit. Based on the inspiration video she sent, she was told the service would be approximately $350, depending on how much product was needed. At no point was she given a written or verbal estimate of what the final cost could be, nor was she told the price could nearly double. After spending about five hours in the salon, they charged my credit card almost $600, in addition to the $100 deposit that had already been collected. We ended up paying nearly $700 for a single color service. The worst part is that the results were nowhere close to what my daughter requested. She wanted a dark red color, but left with bright pink hair. The outcome did not resemble the inspiration she showed the stylist. When I called to discuss both the unexpected cost and the disappointing results, I spoke with Danielle, the owner. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, she told me that her pricing is listed on the website and that my daughter "should have known" what she was going to pay. She also placed the responsibility entirely on my daughter, saying she chose the color and therefore there was nothing wrong with the service. As a business owner, I believe there is a responsibility to communicate clearly with clients--especially when the client is a minor. If a service is going to cost hundreds of dollars more than the amount discussed, the stylist should stop and obtain approval before continuing. That never happened. I take responsibility for not accompanying my daughter, but I never imagined a professional salon would proceed with such a significant charge without clearly communicating the total cost beforehand. Unfortunately, between the unexpected bill, the lack of communication, and the poor color result, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I would encourage anyone booking a color service here to insist on a detailed written estimate before allowing any work to begin. read more

The salon has a clean, cool atmosphere, and the service was truly exceptional. Daniel did an amazing job bringing life back into my hair -- I couldn't be happier with the results. I am laughing at that one review someone wrote about her hair cut being uneven. That is clearly a joke and a fake review. I have taken my daughter to tons of hair stylists, only to be disappointed with a $90 hair cut on a kid every time. She has a lot of hair which is difficult to cut. This was the first time Danielle cut my daughters hair. Not only did I love her energy and rapport with my daughter, I was extremely pleased with my daughters cut. I desperately needed some TLC to my hair. I had grays, needed a haircut desperately, and wanted to lighten my hair with some highlights. Danielle did an amazing job! Danielle - the new owner of this salon was fantastic. She cut my son's hair (he's 10) today and did a fantastic job. She was patient and accommodating - not wanting him to leave the chair until the design he wanted was exactly what he envisioned. My son isn't the best communicator, and was taking his sweet time making up his mind. You could tell she was good with kids - keeping him engaged and pulling up options quickly on her phone to help him decide. After dealing with my at home quarantine cuts, it's so nice to see my son looking good and smiling! The salon was clean, had a cool vibe, masks were on, and everything felt safe.
