I've had my hair done here twice. First time I had major breakage and lost a layer of hair up to my crown. Second time was ok. I am leaving for vacation in 4 days. As of 7 days ago I started leaving messages trying to get in. I kept missing their 'open times', they are apparently limited right now. My hair is a mess and I've been unable to get in sooner due to a debilitating injury. I'm finally a bit better and it is getting to be crunch time. Sterling is the Worst hair stylist I have been to !! I went in wanting highlights with a light brown base color the I come out with my roots being brown and my side burns and my baby hair in the front and back being really dark brown which is my Virgin hair and the rest of my hair like a orange color!! So I called her back to fix it , she sees me a hour before they open okay that was nice but then I tell her about my sideburns and the rest of my hair lk 4 times and she did the worst job ever !! I tell her to tone down my hair a little bit because it looked orange and she turned my hair to a ash brown I am so disappointed with this place I spent 260 there that day and I only got half of that back .. I live 2 hrs away so I can't stress enough to tell you do not go there !! I had to go to another salon to fix what she did !! I noticed this this place one afternoon after tanning. Gotta tell you, this is the place. I came here for a spa day via Groupon and was thrilled with my facial. It left me wanting to book a full one complete with extractions! It wasn't a difficult hair cut. First time she cut it it was a blunt cut. Right to my shoulders. My hair was crooked. Some of the staff looked through my inspiration pics to connect me with the best artist for my desired cut. I've never been anywhere that has taken all my questions and worries into such thorough consideration. D'ray was my artist and HOLY COW, she's amazing! I have thin, curly hair and was going from fairly long hair to a bob. My biggest fear was that a cut that short would emphasize how thin my hair is. Nothing thought I was all Set, got there the building was locked no one inside, called looked around. Sterling was professional and proficient in her trade. She takes pride in her work and wants you to show it off. She was easy to talk to and easily understood my hair plan. (I'm try to grow healthy long hair for a wedding). In the chair next to me was a young teenage girl. (Maybe 13). She had some hair issues and was visibly upset. The TEAM at the salon worked on her and gave her sound advice on how to style and care for her hair. By the time I left she had been visited and worked on by no less than 4 members. Upgrading to 5 stars. I've been back to Natasha 3 or 4 times and each time she has gotten it right. The color & cut (now that I go in with a picture, lol) are perfect. Love her and the salon. I've never had any issues with scheduling appointments, appts start on time or within 10 minutes (that's a shorter wait than my Dr. office, no complaints here!). I've been going to her since September 2010 and have never caught her on a "bad day." She is a perfectionist but is very gentle. I dyed my hair completely blonde a year ago. I then used a box dye to quickly change up my color. Needless to say, I damaged my hair COMPLETELY! I was so desperate for a cut and a deep condition. Mind you, I have VERY curly hair. Well I called around, found Salon Intrigue, and was scheduled the next day. My stylist (Hannah) immediately could tell based on my damage that I needed a deep condition. I ended up getting a deep condition using the Botanical Repair Treatment. I had to write a review because of how disappointed I am. I was referred to Reyna, and we scheduled for 12:00 pm. I showed up 10 minutes early and waited. Everyone was very sweet and inviting, however after waiting for 30 minutes, I asked how much longer it would be. They reassured me that she was done, and to wait 5 more minutes. I waited, and nothing. I was so upset and disappointed that I left. I was so excited to get a cut and hair color that I didn't mind waiting at first. You know, I would have probably waited an hour(already was 39 minutes) had she come to me and apologized she was running late. Or that she was almost done(even if it was going to be another 20 min), but NOTHING. On top of everything, I received a text that the appointment had been cancelled, And then....I received a text that my appointment was scheduled for 12:30pm(instead of 12:00) Very unprofessional.. I hope a manager sees this. I'm really sad that this didn't work out. :( read more

Had my hair highlighted, cut, and styled here yesterday by Mandy and Amber. I absolutely love my hair!! The girls worked great as a team trading off when the other was needed elsewhere with a client. They had great communication with me and each other so I wouldn't have to sit and wait when I didn't have to. I had told them I needed to be out by a certain time if possible and they did their best to make it happen without rushing (just working smart). I want to share my experience here because It can prevent future clients of waste their money and step out of this salon worst than they came in. That was what happened to me. I had my virgin brunette color and I asked Hanna if she knew how to do a natural good Balayage. Confidently she said yes of course and gave me confidence to trust her. When she was blowing out my hair I was hallucinating, my hair was completely ORANGE!!! I though she still missing some toner of something to add to my hair but she told me no. I was horrified so she calm me down and started asking her colleges which toner should she applied on me to get rid of this awful brassy color. At the end she ended up toning my hair into a beautiful color but I knew since she didn't bleach my hair correctly that toner will come out in a couple of days...and that was what happened, three days later I was Orange again. The next day I went to fix that told her she needed to bleach it correctly because I can't be going back to the salon every 3-4 days, that doesn't make sense. AND GUESS WHAT... she applied again just the toner and promise me it will gonna last...a week later I came back and asked if someone else that wasn't her could fix it and very politely they assigned another girl to fix it ( I need to say that they were so nice and understandable with the situation) . This time was GREAT, Brandie was so NICE AND DID A WONDERFUL JOB. Months later I went back to salon looking for Brandie but sadly she wasn't working there anymore. I was so sad, but since I had a bad experience and a great one, I decided to give the salon another opportunity. So they recommend me a new girl (dont remember the name) that was supposed to be "Balayage specialist" and I said, okay I trust her. OMG WORST choice ever!!! Lastly I need to add that my sister went there asking Hanna for a natural ginger color for her graduation and she ended up with a mermaid Ariel color with some parts still Burnette. She couldn't believed it and she asked them to fix it, her graduation was 4 days later. They told her that they will fix it but not that day because they were closing and at the time to pay she wanted to place another appointment and they TOLD HER NO !!!!That they didn't having space for her in weeks and that she needed to leave immediately because they were closing. My sister was so disappointed so she wrote a review adding that they BLOWED OUT HER HAIR DURING COVID19 (the month of May) and that wasn't supposed permitted for safety reasons and they ERASED IT!!! I think that was a very unprofessional behavior. Censured someone's testimony is not fair at all. As you got good reviews when you have done a good job, you got bad ones if you don't do you job well. My conclusion is that most of them are still beginners and dont know very well what they are doing. Maybe you got lucky and and got someone that knows what to do but the majority of the times they dont. It is like a Russian roulette. But my point is, since you are spending around 250-300 dollars plus tip on a balayage you need to get what you are paying for. read more

I visited this spa because I had purchased a Groupon for a $30 facial. First off, the building is not "spa" like at all. The room which was used for my facial was toward the front and I could hear chatter and blowdryers the entire time, and for those of you that love facials understand, it's a total buzzkill. The facial itself wasn't horrible. Aside from the fact she did not do a single extraction and kept telling me everything thats wrong with my skin, she did a bare minimum facial. I have been going to another salon/day spa for over 13 years and love it there. I needed to get a quick mani/pedi and eyebrow wax before going out of town. I booked the appointment online and they called back to confirm very quickly. While booking the scheduler was interupted and then told me their estheticians requested to be off the day I requested the appointment. Hmmm, strange. I arrived to the salon and greeted, but it almost appeared as if I had bothered the gentleman, but he quickly said Hello. The phone rang and he asked the caller to hold, while he checked me in. He also asked me if me if I would like any coffee or water, which was very pleasant. I sat and waited about 10 minutes. Salon appeared very clean in the areas that can be seen. A client was going on and on about her new boyfriend, which seemed very loud and High School for a woman who had no problems stating she was well over 40. Seemed very ghetto and not exactly what I expect from a salon/spa, but given the area of town, it is sort of common. The "nail tech" greeted me with no smile, not a huge deal for me since I'm a bit anti-social and would prefer not to chit-chat with people. I say "Nail Tech" as during a conversation she tells me that she is the colourist and that they did not have a real nail tech. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? HAD I KNOWN THIS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE APPOINTMENT OR AT THE BEGINNING OF THE APPOINTMENT, I WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT! She brought me back to the nail area. It was well organzied, small area with two pedicure chairs and one manicure table. The colour selection was medium and, like another reviewer mentioned, they push the Shellac polish. I chose a colour and sat in the pedicure chair. Right away she upsells the Organic treatments, I say yes (cause why the hell not). She told me it would be a $4 increase, not bad so that was no big deal. This was not the case as I paid $12 for it and it was only used for the pedicure and not the manicure as well. This was not an overall good experience and I will not be back. I do not pay to have my hair done by a Nail Tech, so I certainly would not have a Colourist do my Nails. I understand business want to make money, but had I been told that their Nail Tech quit or was fired and they didn't have one, I would have moved on, but I would have given them a chance later when the position was filled with a professional. read more
