I do not recommend hair by daff aka daffne rodriguez. I booked an appointment for a peekaboo style for my birthday on the 14th and communicated all details ahead of time. The initial appointment went well and I was happy with my hair overall, but I noticed afterward that my money piece was uneven. I reached out the very next day to get it fixed, but communication was extremely delayed. It took two days to get a response, and this pattern continued back and forth, making it difficult to schedule a correction. Despite this, we eventually agreed on a time. On the day of the follow-up appointment, I even offered to come earlier if she was available, but received no response. I still showed up early for my scheduled 3:30 appointment, texted to let her know I was there, and got no reply. After waiting over 15 minutes past my appointment time, calling, getting no response, and hearing her with another client, I left as she never acknowledged me. When I requested a partial refund due to the lack of communication and missed appointment, it was denied, and I was blamed for leaving as she expected me to wait even tho she never acknowledged me--even though I waited beyond a typical grace period and made multiple attempts to reach her. And she stated no mistakes were made on her end. Overall, the work itself was decent, but the communication and professionalism were very disappointing, especially when trying to resolve an issue. Wow! Just wow! Like most of us I work long hard hours and then at last minute am trying to get my real life in order - I had to be at my brothers wedding on Friday at 530pm- I thought last minute I don't know how to nice make up that will stay all through the night and can't fix my hair other than straight. Called several 'high end' locations and they judgment for such a late request - I get it I do just say you have no availability! I called here Friday day of wedding around 11:00am not even 5 minutes later the makeup and hair artist calls me and we set for 1pm. I don't normally write harsh reviews but I am devastated by what happened here. I know hair is not the most important thing but it is really hard when you feel ugly because of your hair. I came in with healthy but faded colored ends. I asked for them to make them natural (any color-so dark brown if necessary but sent pictures of some lighter brown colors) and instead was left with absolutely destroyed hair that just cant be fixed. Priscilla double booked herself claiming that "she didn't know it was a color correction" when the before picture had been sent and any hairstylist would know that blue hair means a color correction. I said at the beginning that the blue probably wouldn't come out so I was fine going darker to get a natural look again(mind you the top half is my natural hair). She stated that it would totally come out and without even a test strand put bleach on the entire bottom half of my hair. She then proceeded to help her other customer and left me with the bleach from 2:30-4:45 (over 2 HOURS) without checking it a single time. When she finally did finish with the other client she rinsed the bleach out but another client walked in almost immediately. I didn't want her to put me in the same situation a second time with another dye on my head so I told her I would just leave at that point. I spoke with the manager since my hair was now fried, still blue, and just destroyed and she offered to fix it but then on the day she was going to fix it her family was sick. I understand this but at this point it was 3 days before Christmas and I was going to have awful hair for all the updated family pics and I wasn't okay with that. She wasn't able to find anyone else to fix my hair so I had to resort to paying a second time for a stylist at a different salon to fix it and since the appointment is later today I still won't know if my hair is even salvageable until then. I am very frustrated at the unprofessionalism and that a stylist would ever think it is okay for bleach to sit that long on someones hair. Hair is unfortunately something you can't undo and as such I have destroyed hair because of them. read more

I came here back in February to dye my hair and get a hair cut for my wedding day. Christina did an amazing job she was very nice and we had a nice conversation. she was busy with other clients but still made time for each of us. she did not rush doing my hair she took her time. For me the price was good. When it comes to my hair I am very picky I been to other salons where they over price and do a horrible job but not here. Would recommend to anybody. read more

I had an appointment with April today and I expressed to her how much I was in NEED of actual blonde foils that don't come out orange! I've lived here for 2 years and still haven't found someone who can do blonde the right way. She reassured me that she knew the exact color I was looking for and when she took out the foils, even with my hair wet I was able to see right away that it was EXACTLY what I wanted. I don't do reviews but wanted to get it out there. I got my hair done few months ago and I'm still processing the price I was told and the price I paid. My stylist was Bee. Once I got there she was with another client and I was sitting waiting for her for almost 30 mins I was on time for my appointment and she was still with another client and she started on my hair late which upsetting but I said to myself she was running late . Don't get me wrong She was good and did amazing job but the price I was told before my appointment was changed after I got my hair done. I paid 2x more then I was charged. The original price was $375 but when I got done change to almost $525 which I was surprised when she told me the total. I didn't appreciate the price change after I was done. I sent her a picture of my length of my hair and was told solid $375 but everything changed. Told her why the piece changed and she said the amount of product she was using and the length and thick of my hair. Wish I was told in advance before starting so I know if I want to continue my appointment. Wish I can get my money back.! Might not go back after price change ups. read more

First of all I did not get what I asked for I showed Cristina multiple times the color I wanted and made sure she could do it otherwise I did not want the service. She agreed and said she could do it. The end result were a joke, she did the opposite of what I asked for. She really shouldn't be promising something she can't do. The girl next to me got the same thing with a different stylist and hers was 10xs better and what she asked for. I asked for a refund and was denied. I asked another stylist that works there and she said she was overpricing me for the bleach too! Like come on all of this comes from the owner!? Have been looking for a stylist in San Antonio since I moved here in December 2017 and I finally found it. Back in my hometown, I had been going to the same stylist for 10 years and was so scared to find a new one. I tried someone else at a different company and I hated the cut and it was very expensive. While vacationing in San Antonio I was looking for a salon to color my sparkle roots. I searched marketplace on FB and saw some pictures Bee posted. I messaged her to find out if she was available. She responded quickly and said she could take me now and we could talk in detail when I arrive about adding color slices/panels. Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly and she had one hair cut before me. She offered me a mimosa and sangria. It was the shops grand opening day. I was lucky to find the perfect shop on the best day! They had personalized cookies, hotdogs, nachos, shaved iced, and drawing for gift baskets. Bee was absolutely amazing, talented with a wonderful personality. I highly recommend her. I would even make a weekend trip from Houston to get my hair colored from Bee. The owner Christina of the shop and other stylists are just as nice and personable. It's a great environment and Christina decorated the salon so nicely it just draws you in. I will be back for my next retouch; can't wait until the next vacation. Very unhappy with my service. To start out, when I went in for my appointment, the lady who was originally supposed to cut my hair wasn't there, and she had someone else work on my hair instead. Nobody thought to notify me or ask if this was okay. Jasmine was great. Good at making conversation and recommending products. I thought all was well, until I saw what my hair looked like when it wasn't curled. I asked for layers, which I've been getting done for years at a different salon, and the way she did them made them look like a choppy, uneven mess. My hair looks awful and I'm extremely disappointed. I wanted to like this place but it looks like I have to search elsewhere. read more
