First time at the salon and what an amazing experience! Very COVID-19 friendly, they take your temperature before you check in as well as have you wash your hands before sitting in the waiting room. It's nice to know they're taking our health and their own employees seriously. I was here for a Hybrid lash set, first time getting lashes and it was so relaxing. I went in for a New Client Facial today and was optimistic going in, as I'd never been to this salon before and it looked promising. First, I came in with a list of products I currently use and my detailed skincare routine written out. My esthetician seemed shocked by this. Yet, their website encourages you to do so (and even bring in your current products!) for an "in depth skin analysis with skincare routine, product knowledge & recommendations", per the description for the service. I sadly left the salon with none of that. Next, she asked if I had filled out the "new client paperwork" online ahead of time, and I was confused by this question as I was not asked to do so when booking my appointment. So, I had to fill out a multiple page questionnaire about my skin manually. Unfortunately, I don't think she even looked at it... I spoke with her in detail in regards to the issues I was currently experiencing with my skin (dryness, irritation, interested in anti-aging) and while she was clearly educated on some level in regards to the basics, she didn't offer any additional advice or information that I wasn't already aware of, and nothing really more than "the obvious". I didn't leave the appointment feeling like I was provided any useful advice or insight in regards to my skin. The entire treatment consisted of a few serums, a hand massage, and a jelly mask. All of which can be done at home, and offer little benefit past 24-hours. I feel bad writing this because my esthetician was very kind and meant well...but I left the appointment feeling incredibly disappointed and with that sinking, empty, "you just wasted a large amount of money, idiot." feeling. I'm really confused as to what exactly I paid for and I just regret the entire experience. read more

I was given the recommendation of Charlee. Although she is a sweet young lady, she does not meet the criteria for a good stylist. She did not listen to one thing I asked her to do, her technique was not what a more experienced stylist would do and the worst part.... it was uneven. Unfortunately, I did not notice until I styled it myself. Parts of one side of my cut were over an inch longer! When you have a pixie, that is really noticeable. I am sure she can manage a trim, or follow someone's previous cut, but to go to her for something completely different, she missed the mark. read more

We just moved down to puyallup and I was looking for a new salon. I'm so glad I checked out Ish! It's a gorgeous unique space, and everyone is so friendly and service-oriented. You can tell they've put a lot of thought into every detail and making sure their customers have a great experience! I saw Corinne for my lashes and she did an excellent job. She was quick, but super efficient and gave me exactly what I wanted!! I've been having my lashes done for 10+ years now so I'm super particular, and it's always a crapshoot seeing someone new but she totally nailed it. I really appreciated her taking the time to actually listen to what I was looking for and giving me her own feedback and suggestions. I also saw Kennedy for an express Glow facial and oh my gosh it was the BEST facial I've ever had! I can't believe it's only $40 on happy hour--45 minutes of pampering! Super luxurious, relaxing and totally effective... that facial is like a Snapchat filter for your skin, no joke! I've already scheduled my next 3 lash appts with Corinne and will definitely be booking regular facials from Kennedy--I cant wait to come back! I'm also getting my hair done next week (will update review with pics). The only area that I see room for improvement is in their online scheduling platform--it's a little clunky, but it's nice that they at least have the option to book online! Rachelle is the hair magician/unicorn hairstylist/f(hair)y godmother ‍ of all things hair and the ultimate client experience. She will quite literally bippidy boppidy boop you into the hair of your dreams and absolutely increase your self confidence! She's beautiful inside and out, and truly cares about her clients in and out of the chair. She takes into account what you want as a client, but most importantly, what is best for you too, based on her expertise. I don't know what kind of sorcery she uses but all I have to do is verbally communicate what look I'm going for (or show an inspo pic!) and she makes it happen! It always turns out even better than I could have imagined. You totally get what you pay for and then some. I have consistently made the 30 minute commute to her because she is 150% worth the time, distance and investment! I would recommend her to anyone looking to get their hair done and/or extensions, in a heart beat, as she is one of the most certified individuals that I know of and her work speaks for itself. Okay so I left in tears. HAPPY TEARS. Rachelle was AMAZING!!! The first picture you will see how awful my hair was. Backstory: in September I trusted someone to make my hair blonde and they did. It only costed me chemical burn, puss all throughout my hair, and hair loss. It was terrible. I even had pink in my hair. So I grew super cautious after that and had so much anxiety going into my appointment. I waited 8 months to get my hair touched again. I told Rachelle I wanted the line from red(natural) to blonde gone. And let's just say, she did what I asked AND SOME. I mean HELLO!!!! My hair looks bomb!!! The receptionist was rude to me on the way in and on my way out. She did not smile at me once. I was there for a lash lift and tint. The lift was mediocre, as well as the tint. I can sum up this review like so: just go to Nicolette. You'll love her. Now... why you should listen to that advice: I've been placing my hair in the masterful hands of Nicolette for years. I can't even count how many. She rescued me from one of those salons who provided mediocre results at extortionist prices. My color faded, my cut was blah. Overall, I wasn't feeling at my best and that's when I friend gave me Nicolette's number. At first, I didn't think someone could be that good at what she does - you could say my trust in someone making me feel beautiful with just a haircut was pretty low at that point. But she took me one appointment at a time and redeemed my hair, made me feel beautiful, and that I could give her complete control over my locks every time. Now, I've been in her chair so long that we have complete and total transparency with each session. She can tell me if my idea wouldn't look good on me or if my color wasn't perfect (like it always is). I can tell her I'm just tired of growing my hair out and she'll knock me out with a lovely update on my color and cut. I leave feeling like a million bucks and like I just got to spend a few hours with my good friend. Aside from her amazing skills in the salon, she's an amazing person with a huge heart.
