Absolutely loved taking my four-year-old daughter here to get her first haircut Jaylissa was our hair stylist she was so sweet and kind made it a wonderful time for my daughter. The price was amazing they cut her hair washed it and she even put a quick braid in it for my little girl. She felt like a little princess and talked about it for days. It was very clean inside. I don't care about people wearing masks but for others they did wear masks. The lady at the front desk was super kind and sweet(owners mother in law) The haircut itself was really good she even put a detangler in her hair which made it smooth for days. We will definitely be going back again and again my wife is even setting up an appointment for herself. CON: I only have one negative thing to say about our experience. It was the little bench she was sitting on to get her haircut it was not super safe or sturdy for a kid to sit on while getting their haircut. It even slid off with her on it at one point because the armrests are rounded. I could tell she was a little uneasy about sitting there at first on the bench thing. A plastic booster seat would of been so much safer and better for my child to sit in. Or something that actually clicked to the seat The experience overall was perfect for a four year old princess getting her hair cut. read more

I love going to get my hair highlighted with Giuliana. I've been seeing her for a few years and she never lets me down. She cuts my hair when I want too! I went to this salon for the first time on Saturday and they were great! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the receptionist and offered a beverage while I waited. The salon is super cute and very clean. Danielle did my nails and she was really friendly! I was indecisive about my nail color and she tried a few shades out so I could see first. Ashley is amazing! I needed a hair pick me up to this endless winter, but have never done color before. Mari (the owner) and Ashely coached me through lots of options and had great ideas and were SO patient and understanding! My hair looks amazing, it's just what I wanted. Ashley cut my hair for me too while I was there even though I was originally only scheduled for color. Everyone was so nice and incredibly helpful. I trimmed my own hair and in a hurry hacked it up pretty bad. Samantha did a fantastic job fixing my screw up and she really listened to what I wanted my hair to look like. The layers are cut in just the right length to give my hair the volume I like. Nasty receptionist. Not helpful at all when giving out directions and nasty attitude towards new customers! How about the hair stylist can not dry your hair because she doesn't have time. Located in a quaint shopping area. The staff was very welcoming and personable upon arrival. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Waynie is amazing at figuring out what's best for your hair, by suggesting cuts and products. I love my highlights and cut. There wasn't a feeling of being rushed and it wasn't an all day process. I accidentally found this salon in error after a TERRIBLE mishap with another salon. I came out with orange hair cut like a dutch boy so I needed to get fixed ASAP. I called Salon Jia Li and had a very pleasant experience from the beginning. I was lucky enough that the stylist that they put me with (Sam) had a cancellation that day. I walked in and felt very comfortable right away. Sam took a look at my hair and fixed it within 2 hours. Although all the girls that work there are very beautiful, I never felt judged. I believe their prices are reasonable and they use quality products. I always look and feel great when I leave there. read more

Since my last review in 2012 I have been a "near" loyal customer. I tried another salon for my blonde highlights about a year ago and it was the worst decision of my life. The color and cut was a disaster and I was happy to get back to Samantha at Salon Jia Li once my hair grew in more. She was able to slowly help my hair back from that horrible dry straw like look. Danielle was so professional and awesome to talk to! I also loved the massage chair before the pedicure. Super relaxing! Disappointing experience... purchased a pedicure for my wife for Mother's day and set up an appointment. Supposed to be the "first appointment of the day", and my wife ended up sitting for nearly an hour before she was acknowledged. Did not receive the service that was originally paid for, and was not offered a refund of the difference of what was prepaid. Receptionist was not friendly. I have FINALLY found a salon that can properly cut Asian hair in NE Ohio!! Since moving here nearly 20 years ago, I've probably tried at least 30 different stylists. There's was actually one time I went to 3 salons in the same day trying to fix the haircuts... and I still ended up having to do some damage control at home with my own shears. I only get my hair cut once a year because I hate knowing that my hair will likely be ruined, and so I wait until I start getting headaches from my hair getting too long and heavy. My husband has been using this salon for years with great success (he also has extremely thick Asian hair), but he gets his hair cut pretty often so I didn't want to drive out 45 minutes just to be disappointed with my own haircut. Well the Russian stylist I had found last year that had done a decent job had drastically decreased her hours in preparation for retirement, so I finally decided to try out my husband's stylist. Sam did an amazing job, and I can actually say that I love my haircut!!! She was so meticulous and did an excellent job of properly layering and thinning out my hair. She's really good at listening to and interpreting vague customer directions. The 45 minute drive is more than worth it, especially considering the low price for the cut+style! For other Asian women looking for a stylist who truly can work with Asian hair in NE Ohio, I would absolutely recommend the girls at Jia Li (I have direct experience with Sam and Mariam)! read more
