I am overdue a review to this place. I had coloring touch-up done with Sukelly for the first time. She was great, she will be my person to go periodically, best hair dye ever. The whole team are friendly, and there is a great friendly atmosphere among them, and just makes you feel very at ease and comfortable. There is plenty of parking. Easy to make appointments, they are very responsive. Highly recommend, from what I have seen everyone are very nice and good at what they do, can't go wrong. Highly recommend! read more

I just got my hair cut there this morning. I have curly hair, and I've only ever had my hair cut by two people, my mom and a stylist back where I used to live, so to have somebody new cut my hair made me very nervous. Especially with all the horror stories I've heard about how people do not know how to cut curly hair properly. When I arrived, Lisa immediately greeted me and we got started right away. She gave me tips on how to take care of my hair, but did not once try to sell me on a product. She was a great conversationalist and overall made the experience much better than I was anticipating. This is a new hair salon in the plaza off of Old Lake Wilson Road. The salon is beautiful. All the chairs are spaced far apart. The hair washing station is separate from the main room. My stylist was Jennifer. She is a great stylist. She listens to me and gives me the cut I want. As you may or may not know, clients aren't required to wear masks in Florida salons. The staff at this salon went out of their way to accommodate me and insure that everyone in there had on a mask while I was in the salon. My stylist's prices are very fair. I have been going to my stylist, Sukelly, for over 10 years. This new Salon JJ is absolutely beautiful! It is the most comfortable salon I have ever been to! I especially love the hair washing stations. The chairs recline with a foot rest and the sink comes to you! No more wet necks! Amazingly comfortable! She does my cut, highlights, base color, and eyebrows PERFECT every time! I book my appointment in advance so my hair always looks like I just got it done! I had a very negative experience which was very unprofessional. I won't give zero stars because I can't speak for others here who weren't involved nor do I know if they were involved. I got my hair done in April, a full highlight and cut. I truly thought the girl was nice but my highlights were brassy and I never said a thing. Truthfully, I waited about two weeks before I finally said something. Although there was some push back, she agreed to let me come in and tone it but she wasn't overly happy to fix it. She mentioned I should have said something from the beginning, and she's right. I just didn't want to offend anyone but for $250, I finally did. After swearing off that salon, I decided to give it another shot after realizing they rent their own chairs, I figured let me try again and see if I missed something. So I booked an appointment with "Madysen Professional" I booked it for a partial and a cut. For 730 pm. When I got there we talked about how my hair wasn't in the best condition to do highlights so I told her let's do a color with dimension and if that was possible without bleach?" She said she was going to condition my hair which I didn't ask for, and that she would darken it and cut it into a long bob as I asked for. She was very nice and accomodating while she did this and it made for a good conversation. After she put the "color" in it looked very dark and I said something. She dismiss it. And finally after she rinsed it out, and took me to the mirror I saw my old highlights which were now a brassy brown and my black roots where the new growth was. Now I realized that she just put a toner on it. I had made it clear that I wanted a color and not a toner because I wanted my roots covered. She told me "toner is color" and began becoming annoyed with me and my hair,being very rough. I stopped the small talk and said aloud "I'm not loving this" she began to get offended and becoming defensive. I asked her to stop the haircut because I realized, I didn't trust her anymore. Afterwards she still charged me $185 in which I said was ridiculous. I let it be known, it was now 10:30 at night. For what? She didn't bleach my hair, why so many hours? She began to argue with me and refused to fix it or offer me any compensation. I left..thinking it's over..lesson learned right? Nope...I found the owner Lisa Justiano and these girls from this salon, berated me on a public social media outlet, calling me a scammer and implying that I didn't pay for services. Inciting others to not service me in the future. I will attach that post that had a picture of my minor daughter in the profile pic... . Let this be known, I don't want money back. I don't want any type of anything from this place. I simply want to point out that this salon tried to publicly humiliate me on social media all because they didn't like that I didn't like my hair twice but yet both times I paid for it. I will be the woman who will speak up if my roots are orange, I will be the one to say that I don't like what I paid for but I'll always pay. How dare a "professional" salon owner and employees feel they have the right to slander my name because they don't like the fact that I didn't say I was at the salon previously. It's appalling and wrong. The salon "owner" agreed to take it down but not without a warning not to scam others. Scam is when you intentionally try to con someone, I paid for my services and walked away, unhappy twice. So please, now, it's my turn to tell the truth. I also reported this salon to the board of cosmetology in Florida. I hope that this helps. Again I only went to two stylists Kristin Cast, and Madysen Professional..Lisa Justiano I can't speak for anyone else but I will absolutely not tolerate cyber bullying. Of any kind.
