Last Saturday Nov 2 I was so excited to get my hair done with Anna as I read amazing reviews about her work. What a horrific experience I had.!!!! The appointment was at 11, she was only able to take me at 11:30. She double booked her appointments. I asked for Hollywood waves. As Anna was teasing my hair she kept ripping it off ignoring my screams and begging to be careful. 3 days later after the hair style my hair still continues to break and to fall off from pulling. The waves only held for one hour so by the time I got to the wedding my hair was completely straight ($120 down the drain) . In addition, she was sneezing and sniffling right over my head. I haven't tried any other stylists at Opia (and I definitely won't come back to try) but stay from Anna at all costs. She is sadist! read more

After a friend recommended this salon, I took my mother here for a cut and color. She was styled by one of the girls and left with the biggest smile on her face. my mother was given the cut/color she was looking for! I'm extremely pleased with the service provided here. I came here to turn my pink hair to a blonde but because of my pink splat dye not lifting I was stuck with pink again. No complaints because Anna did such a great job. I came across Anna's page on Instagram and loved her work so I had to travel from Queens to get my hair done. I've been to plenty of salons before and this staff is super nice and professional and they play good music. I normally get stuck in salons all day but Anna made the process really fast and I am happy with the results. I noticed a lot of people get their makeup done here and I love how their makeup came out. I would definitely come here again. Nicole is the only person I trust with my hair. She listens to what I'm looking for and explains how we can get there and does it without damaging my hair. I've been coming to Nicole for over a year now and will never go elsewhere. I admittedly went somewhere else once for a touch up that was horrible and damaged my hair. Nicole was able to fix it as well as restore the damage. I love that I can tell her what I want and she does exactly that, especially when getting a cut. I came to this hair salon after being recommended. It was probably the biggest regret of my life I've had my hair done blonde for the past seven years and never had such a horrible experience. I don't want to put any hairstylist names on this review. for the price that I paid which was $400 and the work that was done I was beyond upset. I went in blonde and came out with brassy hair all I asked for was a balayage and I did not want my hair bleached from the top of the roots and it's exactly what was done the total opposite of what I asked for. Then the girl who was blow drying my hair was being super aggressive mind you I just had my hair bleached there's no need to brush my hair so roughly when it's already breaking off. I was told to go back to get my hair fixed and it still looks like the same thing ugly and with a lot of breakage that is so noticeable that I'm embarrassed to even go out. The fact that the owner has her students working for her which there's nothing wrong with it but she's allowing them to do bleach on peoples hair when there is potential of damaging and breaking the hair. The owner and the stylist excuse as to why my hair came out orangey and brassy is because it takes multiple sessions but like I mentioned before I've been blonde for the past seven years platinum at that I will never come back to this hair salon ever again. read more

This hair salon is really cute and has a clean vibe. I went for a haircut and a single color process. In the begining I felt weird because they only had one customer, and looking at it I thought they wont know how to deal with my kinky wavy thick hair, but Im quite satisfied with how she managed it and the final results!
