Sure enough, I get there and am told tape ins are the only choice. I ended up having to buy them there because my hair needed to be done that day for an event. Ooookay, I was going to be spending some $ that day, anyway, so let's move on, not the end of the world. The man who put the tape ins in said literally less than ten words the entire time. I had an appointment with him 2-3 weeks later because a couple of wefts came loose, which was frustrating, and he again didn't speak. I'm almost positive it wasn't a language barrier issue because there were no attempts to be friendly even with body language? And I understand if you don't want to chat the entire time or are introverted, but damn...I really got nothin' When my extensions were finally done, and I will say they were pretty good except for the piece or two that fell out, there was no explanation of how to manage them. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had scheduled an appointment a month in advanced with the owner olla and showed up on time just for them to tell me i didn't have an appointment. I told them i had made an appointment and they said that i could still do it but with a different new stylist. I agreed since I had a wedding but was not happy with the attitude. I told her I wanted to go from brown to blonde balayage. I had virgin hair. She proceeded to bleach my entire head and left me sitting for soo long. She washed my hair and DIDNT even tone me. They also don't include blow drying with their services and told me I needed to pay an extra $60 for a blow dry which I had to do because as I mentioned I had a wedding and was already there for many hours over what I had planned. My hair was yellow. It was horrible. Orange and yellow streaky disaster. I mentioned toner and she told me that'd be an additional cost!! I have never heard of toner being an additional cost for any color service. I paid over $300 that day for basically just a terrible bleach job and a very greasy blowout. I couldn't stand looking at me hair so I went back a couple days later and complained to the owner who was supposed to do my hair and she said that the same girl could just tone it for me. She left the toner on my hair while i was sitting in the sink for 45 minutes.... I was extremely uncomfortable and every time I looked at her she would tell me a few more minutes but she was just running around doing nothing. She finally rinsed me and my hair was I shit u not just right back to my original color BROWN. It was the worst waste of time. I told the owner who had the biggest attitude atp that this is nothing like I wanted. Her response was "it'll fade out". Yea not to what I wanted it to look like??! Then after saying this toner would be complimentary since the booking mistake and the stylists mistake they proceeded to charge me $75 for TONER ALONE. As I was speaking to my stylist the owner and 3-4 OTHER stylist came up to the desk area to tell me I had to pay and that my hair was my fault?? Hidden gem amongst Dearborn!! I can on a whim to get hair and makeup done for a wedding. I'm from out of town so, I just helped the nearest area next to my hotel, which was the Henry. I go to salon luxe and get my hair done with Olla. I do dye, hair cuts (which my hair always grows back so quickly and she NEVER gets scissor happy) and recently I've done the Brazilian blowout. As a mom I never have time to fix my hair so when she told me that this would cut my time in half I was sold. It's literally the best thing I've ever done, my hair dries so shiny and straight and I was worried I wouldn't be able to put waves in it because of how straight it dries but that's not the case!! Another thing I love is that she never gossips when you're in her chair, she genuinely has conversations with you and makes you feel comfortable. Maher is the man! Best barber in the city, i legit leave work early to come and see him. He always has a lesson for me and honestly i see him as a friend more then anything! For his work i give him 5 Stars but pricing man they raised the pricing for no reason there is nothing extra being done. I used to pay $30 for my hair and beard to get done and would leave a $20 tip. Which comes out to $50 for me which is great for the work that Maher my barber is doing, but now it's $40 which was resides by the establishment and only $10 tip to the barber which isn't fair to him and quit frankly i don't see where that extra $10 is going i would rather know i paid $20 tip then $10 unless the barber himself is making that extra $10 the place isn't worth $40 for a haircut but again the barber is! Booking a hair appointment 2000 miles away, to ensure I get glammed up for my cousin's wedding was definitely a challenge. Thank God my aunt had seen Salon Luxe and stopped in to speak with the girls to see if they would be able to assist/accommodate us the morning of the wedding -- the answer was yes! I called Salon Luxe and spoke with Lauren, who was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. She booked all 5 of us for the morning of the wedding, and said to be there at 7am, even though the salon didn't open until 10am on Sundays, they made an exception for us to ensure we could be done by 9am (how awesome!). I informed everyone in the party and was super excited that I wouldn't have to worry about doing my own hair that morning. On the morning of the wedding, we arrived at 7am -- and I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication or what happened... because there was only one hairstylist there. Panic started to set in, (I mean, how would ONE hairstylist be able to accommodate 5 clients?!) however I was reassured there were more on the way, and we would be out of the salon by 9am, as we discussed when booking the appointments. More hairstylists did show up, and we were definitely more at ease thinking we would get out of the salon on time, go home to get ready, and make it to the church by 10am -- talk about crunch time... however, we were late. Not sure where the time went, but by the time we actually were done with our hair, it was closer to 9:30 rather than 9am, and let's just say I was upset (understatement) that I missed the first 15 minutes of the wedding ceremony. I mean, I looked fabulous, but not making it to the church BEFORE the bride and groomed arrived kind of put a damper on my mood... The wedding was amazing, nonetheless, so I got over the fact that I was late. One word of advice to the salon though... Please be sure to deliver what you promise to your clients, time-wise. If you promise to have them out by a certain time, please make that happen. The hair styles were all absolutely amazing though, and everyone in the party was happy and received compliments on their hairstyle for the day -- so I'm not saying anything about the talent in the salon. I made appointments for hair/makeup for my daughters communion day. I expressed that this was a very important day and was going to be having professional photos taken. When I arrived-I was taken back right away and the makeup artist Nadine was wonderful! My makeup looked great and was waiting for my hair appointment. I waited and waited - I asked the receptionist a few times how much longer it was going to take. I then heard her say to someone "are you going to take blondie" she was referring to me. This was after 1 hour of waiting past my appointment time. Once I realized how late it was I realized I would not have enough time to get my hair done. The woman (unsure of name) said I apologize - your hair looks so nice I thought someone already did it. My daughters hair was mediocre. It was plastered to her head. I bought a groupon for 3 spray tans for this place. This was my second time ever getting a spray tan, and my first time using the VersaSpa booths. The girl walked me back, showed me where to stand, where the towels were, caps, lotion, etc. the only thing she didn't show me was how to position my arms (which I just guessed at when I was in there). The machine talks to you, tells you when to turn and what not. Just make sure to take your cap off with a paper towel so the spray tan doesn't get all over your hands (I learned the hard way). Went in for my 10:30 bridal hair appointment by the owner, I was told she wasn't there yet, so I was waiting for a good 30 mins before I was called in and started on. So I had two ladies start me off by curling my hair and the whole time they were complaining about how the owner who I had an appointment with was always running late and how she wasn't picking up that day, and they could tell tht I was annoyed cuz when I made the appointment a couple of months ahead I made it pretty clear tht I had to be done and out the door by 12 cuz I had a photo shoot to be at by 12:30. So the whole time I'm worried about being late kept asking where the owner was and her 2 workers kept fueling me up telling me she hasn't showed or picked up, and at the same time trying to keep me busy. The owner finally arrives and comes in maybe @12:40 almost 1, so I was late asf for my photo shoot appointment. She comes in with an angry face I guess cuz her workers told her I was upset, lies and tells me tht she was at the salon the whole time just working on other clients not knowing tht her workers had told me she was late to work, and that I had to get my hair curled before she comes in to do it, then starts on my hair. From the second she put her hands on my head till she finishes she was pulling and tugging hard as hell turning my head so hard and I couldn't say anything cuz it was my wedding day and I was just trying to get it over with at tht point without any more problems. The whole time There were 2 other clients tht I knew sitting next to me watching this go down and just shaking their heads. The owner didn't say a single word the whole time, it was awkward as hell and she purposely burned my hair sooo bad when I took a shower after tht I could literally smell how bad it was burnt. So that day I was done @2 so I was 1 and a half late for my photo shoot, I walk out and the lady at the front charges me extra cuz my hair was two long and thick so "it required more work". At tht point my hair looked good but 2 hours later it was all over the place! I had to put pins all over it cuz of how bad it got. Worst experience ever. Went in for highlights and left with bulks of burnt off pieces of hair and a burnt scalp. Not going to blame the whole salon but Wedian did my hair, she definitely did not know what she was doing. She was foiling my hair for over an hour and kept me on high heat under the dryer. My hair was over-processed and my scalp felt like it was on fire. Did not realize how bad it was till I got home, she lied and told me my hair only fell out from the bottom. I come to find out there were bulks of very short peices of hair on the crown of my head where my scalp was burned. THEN I have my mom take a look at my sore scalp. There were patches of red, hard yellow scabs with clear puss coming out. Had to chase the salon down with phone calls for a week leaving messages with the receptionist that would say she would have the manager call me back. At first they offered me a treatment and free products and declined my request for a full refund. After a week of phone tag and sending them pictures I finally got my full refund. read more

I have been to a lot of tanning salons, and these bulbs and beds are some of the best for the price. 10 minute max in the level 3 bed and it always leaves me bronze. I was hesitant on spending the $$ at first (a little more than I'm used to spending on a monthly package) but the beds were worth it! The hours are the reason I started coming here.
