I had a very unfortunate experience at another salon and was looking for a salon to do a color correction. Another stylist colored my hair black and I mean black with very uneven panels of a lighter brown. It looked really bad. I did a lot of searching online and called many salons hoping that I can find a salon that will fix my hair at a fair price. I was very happy to find Audrey who is a hair color magician. I found her while I was scrolling through Instagram and contacted her. She responded very quickly and a few hours later that same day I drove up to Meriden for a consultation. She was extremely thorough during the consultation. I was very nervous given that just a few days earlier another stylist completely messed my hair up and she really did her best to calm me down. She was very good at explaining everything to me and I mean everything. I needed things to be explained in normal terms since I do not know all these terms like what is a glaze vs a toner and do I want warmth in my hair? No clue what any of that means. There were a few instances in which she would ask me a question and she saw that I hesitated because I didn't know what she was asking. Instead of asking it again or waiting for me to respond she would give me more details and explain what she is asking so that I can give her an informed response instead of guessing or thinking that I am responding with what I want but in reality I am saying something completely different. Audrey took the time to explain everything to me and ensured that she knows what I want and that I understand everything. Some notable mentions are that parking was very simple. They have a lot in the front so parking isn't an issue. As far as pricing goes it isn't the cheapest salon but I would say it was priced fairly. Need to pay an appropriate amount to get a good result. Additionally they do use Redken and Pureology products so they aren't using cheap products on your hair and the results show that. I am very happy with the result I got. I had the color done about 2 weeks ago and have washed my hair a few times and it still looks wonderful. I've been going to Salon Nathaniel since before it was even Salon Nathaniel, and I've NEVER had a bad experience! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and beyond talented. I sit with Lauren K., and her execution is flawless - so much that I refer her to literally everyone I know! From balayage, to cuts, to adding extensions and beyond, she's super communicative from consultation to finished look. I can be pretty indecisive and I often give her little direction with big expectations, and she has never failed to completely nail it. The salon is also absolutely stunning! I have nothing but good things to say about this salon. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, always smiling! I started going to this salon in 2017 with the craziest of color requests. I went from purples to pinks to blues with no problems or damage to my hair. My stylist JENNA honestly works magic when she does my hair. I show her a picture knowing I don't have to worry about the outcome because she will find a way to make it happen. We always have a good time when I'm in the chair whether it be the conversation or the times where I tell her I want something different and I let her do whatever she wants and it never disappoints. Everytime I leave the salon I'm so happy with my results and I get so many compliments from everyone on my hair. Salon Nathaniel is an upbeat, professional salon with friendly, knowledgeable staff. I've been seeing Lauren there for about a year and she always gets my cut right. No matter what crazy idea I had for my head, she's always followed it through for me! I'm a mother with no time and I got a biolage, cut and style, in a little over an hour. I went and had Lauren do my hair. First of all, Lauren is super friendly. She is very personable. While she put the color in my hair, we laughed and talked nonstop.
