She started…read moredrastically layering my hair instead, she wasn't paying attention at one point, cutting my hair while talking to a co-worker, so some of the hair she was trying to cut was unaligned a falling through her fingers. She then looked at me and my concerned face and cut it all like that anyway. She also made a comment about no comb/brush being able to get through my hair after I said I use a wide-toothed brush and it works fine. She yanked through my hair, never trying to stabilize my head, the roots, or going gentler. She also caught my earring pretty hard and never apologized. When she was blow-drying my hair, she just stayed on one spot on my right side and it burned. I called months ago, they said a lady, Don, would get back to me. She never did. I'm saying something now cause it's been so long, someone at Square One did a great job trying to fix it, and it's still so bad (far from what I wanted) I wear it up most of the time. Not cool, Lisa. She is hands down my favorite stylist now and I can't imagine I would even think about going anywhere else. She's super friendly, attentive, and experienced. STAY AWAY... On October 3rd I went to Salon Loft in…read moreKettering OH to get a haircut. My appointment was at 2pm with Victoria Bond. I had a meeting earlier and had to rush to make it on time. When I went there it was 1:58pm, I waited in lobby since she told me that she would come to "greet" me there. She didn't come out, so I sent the following text at exactly 2pm, that means I was on time. Once she got my text she came out and took me in. she talks a lot and most of them are about telling me how extraordinary she is vs others. My problem started after the cut (she didn't even cut however much I told her to cut). She said curly hair should never be washed before the cut but should be after the cut. So, she started washing my hair, but the chair did not have something that supports the neck. So, my neck started hurting, she told me to stretch my legs forward to support my neck. I did but it didn't help. I clenched my teeth and tried to tolerate the pain. It didn't help so asked her it is really hurting then she put a towel to support my neck. She said she has a client that is 92 years old and "when she can tolerate that we should be able to tolerate it" and took off the towel to wash with water. Anyway, after excruciating pain for about 20 minutes, I was done. It was time to pay, I asked her how much is it? She said $90 and said normally it is $80 but since you came late, I am charging you extra 10. I was flabbergasted to hear that a simple (mine is short hair) will cost so much (never paid more than 45 in my life). She stood right beside me, very close breathing on my neck, and gave me the machine to input, and told me "Tip" so I had to put 18% tip. Everything together costed me 112.50 or something like that because she never sent me the bill. I was so devastated that I couldn't even think straight, I just paid 112.50ish for simple haircut. I couldn't sleep the whole night. When I got up this morning that is 4th October my neck was hurting and couldn't turn my neck, and it was bruised and swollen. The pain caused me to have a fever. Now I have a fever and my neck hurts. I believe this lady is so unfair with the pricing and she doesn't even have a proper chair for the customers. Today is dec 18th, so I can tell that I had neck pain for 2 weeks and couldn't drive for a week. Luckily I work from home so managed somehow.

She blamed my hair and treated me roughly, saying she had to hurry through because she didn't schedule enough time for me. Same beautician, Holly, did my son's hair and did a terrible job. It was an uneven cut and the coloring and highlights weren't done well at all. She didn't thin the top of his hair, the sides looked more like a bowl cut and the coloring was three inches down instead of at the hair line. Once again, she wouldn't go back to do anything to fix it. Do not go to Bangs. The experience was more than disappointing. I now have to go somewhere else to get my hair done correctly.

The pics are not in order so please see the titles at the bottom of each pic indicating before, after... And of course, there's one of Meredith.. I'd been a loyal client at Jungle Red for years. That ended the day Meredith--a so-called "Top Tier Stylist"--butchered my hair beyond repair. After 1.5 years of growing it out, I asked for a light trim. Instead, she razored through my hair from every angle. I couldn't see the back until it was too late. My hair was left shredded, uneven, and destroyed. Even Meredith looked shocked by how much she'd cut off. When I returned, her only response was, "Aww, I'm sorry you don't like your cut." That's not an apology--that's condescension. The owner, Lisa Travis, refunded the cut but refused to take any real responsibility. I asked if they'd help cover the cost of corrective work--she smugly declined, claiming extensions "weren't possible." She was wrong. Other stylists proved it could be done and temporarily fixed what Jungle Red ruined. Their "top-tier" ranking system is a joke. Meredith lacks skill and judgment, and Lisa Travis clearly doesn't value her clients enough to make things right. It's been 10 MONTHS, and my hair still hasn't recovered. I'm posting photos so you can see the damage for yourself. Do not trust this salon. They do not stand behind their work.
