Madalyn texted the night before and asked if I could change my appointment for two days later. I said sure and she said she would see me then. Fast forward two days and I showed up for appointment at Madalyn's specified day and time. The receptionist informed me my appointment was the day before and I had missed it. I showed her the text exchange I had with Madalyn stating my rescheduled appointment. She apologized and told me Madalyn wasn't working and I'd have to reschedule. I will be commenting on Denise Fugate. Denise was recommended to me by a friend when I was looking for someone nearby that is not outrageously priced. I have always left this salon feeling like a million bucks, but it doesn't cost anywhere near that. Recently, I had to cut some luxaries from the budget and went to someone else to get my hair done. BIG MISTAKE. It may only cost $10 for a haircut elsewhere, but it LOOKS like it! Denise fixed me up, good as new. The salon is clean and modern looking as they recently renovated. Everyone is friendly and up to date on the latest styles. I have had color, highlights, low lights, long hair cuts, short hair cuts, eyebrow waxing etc done.

I came to Denise after many years with the same stylist with whom I had a disagreement . I showed Denise pics and explained the cut I was looking for. I would say I had the most thorough consultation ever regarding the condition of my hair, the kind of cut I wanted, and a ton of styling and hair care tips to get the results I was looking for. The cut was great, I tweaked the style a bit, which I am sure to communicate to her next time. The place is clean, quiet, and totally professional. No yakety-yak among stylists about their boyfriends and where they were drinking the night before, ignoring the client. The attention is totally devoted to the client. Pricey, but well worth it. She genuinely wants you to be happy with your hair and your experience. She has worked past her usual hours so I could come after work with my job schedule which was above and beyond. Belair's just moved to Springboro and it's a lovely place. Everything is always clean, comfortable and prepared with the customer in mind. I've also had my hair done by Candace and Jaiden when I had to reschedule due to last-minute conflicts. They were both excellent as well. And the icing on the cake is their very reasonable prices! I highly recommend Belair's and have friends coming now as well. :)

Then I was left to sit with color on my hair for 30 minutes too long again, waiting for her to work someone else in. I realize that working customers simultaneously isn't unusual but this was way past what was safe for hair to process. The last and final time I thought I would give it one more try. Same thing, except this was even worse. She didn't ask me about the color or preferred shade for my roots and was talking so much that I didn't realize she had put a very warm, reddish, brassy brown on my roots. (My natural hair color is a cool dark brown). The results are now that my hair is over processed and my otherwise healthy hair is like straw!! It's just a shame when someone is just trying to make that much money and throws quality under the bus. I am so upset and having to have treatments to repair my damaged hair.
