Yay! I scheduled same day on a Friday for a women's cut ($95). I'm low maintenance with my hair and don't get it cut often, but wanted something that looked cute even when not styled. I came in with about two feet of hair and didn't want to take more than 3-4 inches off but Roby (row-bee, I'm not sure how to spell it) went a little different direction and I couldn't be happier. I wanted a wolf cut with longer layers, which he informed me was often called a butterfly cut. I love the way it turned out. Roby said he and several other stylists just moved to this location and I have a feeling they are going to bring great reviews with them. If you're looking for a great cut, find Roby! He did an excellent job and quite honestly was one of the most pleasant perfect strangers I've ever had a conversation with. Front desk staff was very personable and the salon was clean. I've been making the rounds in Issaquah trying so hard to get a solid cut and color. Some people have left, some colors have been very bad, some services have been very pricey and irregular. I spent a fair amount of time researching for one last go at it and then was just going to accept defeat. I walked into Salon O and walked out over joyed. I had my hair cut and colored by Laurie. She corrected several HUGE issues I was having and returned my hair to looking lustrous and shiny. My cut was perfect and my hair flows again. On top of all of that, the prices were reasonable, and everyone was beyond lovely that I came across. I'm done hunting ... I've found the perfect place. THANK YOU! read more

I went back for the cut, and while the service was decent, it was the thoughtful gesture that stood out. I've been going to this place for past five years and always had wonderful experiences. The management has been changed and I had a terrible experience today with them. Had a scheduled cut at 1:30 with Lindsey. Was on time and checked in. After 20+ minute they came out told me that the service can't be provided since the previous appointments ran late. So unprofessional and they didn't have the courtesy to give me a heads up and didn't value my time as a client. So so disappointed! read more

The first green flag came even before my appointment with a call a few days prior to do a phone consultation. Since I booked online and wasn't sure what I wanted, this extra step made me feel reassured and confident that I'd be in great hands. On the day of my appointment, I saw Najibe and I could tell right away that we'd click. She's so sweet and welcoming, which honestly is such a big deal for me. I've stopped going to salons in the past because stylists can sometimes be a bit pushy with upselling or throw in some lowkey insults about my hair lol I don't do much with my hair, so it's usually not in the best shape when I show up. But Najibe didn't make me feel judged at all, and I appreciated that so much. She did a balayage, I'm so glad I did. I didn't think I'd want it, but the subtle face-framing pieces she added made such a huge difference. It's so soft and natural, and I'm obsessed! As I was checking out, I had the loveliest interaction with the front desk staff, who I later learned is the salon owner. She was so kind and even gave me a little gift--such a sweet and unexpected gesture. This kind of genuine, hands-on service is exactly what builds loyalty to small businesses like this one. The hair stylist I had been seeing moved out of state and because she was self-employed, I had to begin a search for someone new. I researched all the salons near me, and found Salon O, which prompted me to make an appointment with Laurie - and am so glad I did. Laurie spent time assessing what I had going on with my hair, looked at all the pix I had on my 'wish board' for what I would like to have, and we talked about what would be possible and where we could set realistic goals. The haircut I got with Laurie at this appointment is just what I needed and wanted - I no longer dread doing my hair every morning, which in the past had me just putting it into a ponytail. The cut I got works with my hair type (thin, slight wave, naturally platinum) and my active lifestyle (martial arts, boxing) I even have had others ask me who did my hair! Some dishonest endorsements from your establishment. I was told that my long time hair stylist (10+ yrs) was unavailable, suggesting that she was fully booked. Not true- she had moved on to a different salon. So Salon O then claimed that they had a stylist that had also moved over after the closing of Farouche salon. Which was true- except this stylist had not worked there since the 1990s. Again, false. Not going back. read more

I had my 18mo old daughter on my lap and the entire staff was very sweet and accommodating to both us! I have been come to Salon O for many years. I have always had great experiences every time I visit!!! The staff is super friendly and professional. Kim is my stylist and she is awesome! She has lots of experience with cuts, foils and color. All their products are high end and they even use organic hair color. My son and husband have been getting haircuts here as well. My son also gets his eyebrows waxed with Janae and WOW she does a great job! Prices are fair and maybe even a bit better than most places on the Eastside. Parking can be an issue but be patient and show up a few minutes early to get a spot, you can always find something near the urgent care across the way. read more

Was looking for someplace I could book online for Eastside haircut and color and after looking on Yelp , decided to try Salon O away from my normal DT work spot and closer to home. Salon O was easy enough to book online. Received confirmation email and phone call before appt. Easy location. In the Fred Meyer, Best Buy area , next to 24 hour fitness and subway and urgent care. Parking was easy. Grabbed a spot in front of salon. Came in and was greeted at front at reception. Filled out quick new client sheet and was then greeted and introduced to Jill for partial foil and women haircut. She jumped in and listed to what I was going for and it turned out perfect! We chatted about shows to catch up on, and by the end I was showing her photos of my Disney trip and felt very comfortable and relaxed and at home. She was quick and I left feeling like a million bucks. When picking my son up an hour + later, I received so many compliments. Will def be going back to see Jill especially since I can book online ( a lifesaver since i usually think about hair when its like beyond my time to get a cut) Salon is clean and modern. Carries Kérastase line among others. I purchased the Kérastase anti frizz spray and Jill actually used it on my hair before my cut so I could smell it and experience it since I was eyeing it as I was getting foiled. read more

I was searching for a salon offering Kerastase treatments and although Salon O was a 2 hr drive from where I live, I felt the positive reviews warranted a trip. I was not disappointed The salon has a great positive vibe and a very friendly and kind staff. I loved the treatments and the lovely high end products they use. I had color and the Kerastase treatment with Jill and I was thrilled with the result. A careful Team of highly skilled hair technicians. My initial appointment was with Jill, she was honest in her specialty/capabilities and consulted with Tempe (an expert with short haircuts) to ensure that I had the best pixie cut to suit my hair type (coarse and thick). Tempe is a very senior stylist who took time to educate the potential of Asian, coarse hair and how a pixie will translate quite differently from photos shared. She encouraged a cut in between what I proposed, and we decided on a shixie, utilized multiple methods to texturize and remove bulk. A good salon is one that ensures the client comes out looking great, and informs you honestly of your choices, provides understanding and feedback. This is one of the best cuts I have had in decades! I have had pixie cuts before and it definitely takes a couple weeks for the hair to adjust, but not this cut. Thank you to the entire Team for their expertise and service! read more

Major disappointment. I'd been seeing Alanah for years for my color and cuts. Every 7 weeks plus blowouts in between for special occasions. I called to move an appointment and was informed Alanah decided to leave the salon. I don't really know if I would have been notified in advance had I not called to reschedule. My appointment was rescheduled with Tori. Tori did a cut and color and I was very happy. She was engaged and we talked about future plans for some balyage and possibly some hidden rainbow hair. 2 weeks later, I called to make an appointment for a blowout on a Thursday afternoon. Tori isn't there anymore. Ok. Schedule with another stylist. Confirmation call comes on Wednesday and I am actually booked for a Brazilian Blowout treatment, not just a blow dry. Correct my scheduled service and confirm the time. Thursday afternoon comes and I am running late. I call Salon O to let them know I'll be 10 minutes late. Receptionist informs me that my stylist is very booked and won't be able to see me for my service. I'm very disappointed at this point. Even more so when I remember that I was originally incorrectly booked for a Brazilian Blowout treatment, which is a 2+ hour service. Which means my stylist was booked for 2 hours for my service as late as the day before. Super irritated that zero flexibility was shown and I have doubts that the extra hour she gained back when I corrected my service was actually booked. I should have just shown up late. I used to see Michelle here for an occasional trim while I'm growing my hair out. However when she left I was referred to Janae. I went in close to a month ago with virgin hair and wanted to bleach and tone it to a platinum. Janae said it would be possible and even said she might be able to get it there in one setting. 2 hrs later my hair was a dirty blonde and burnt. I made another appointment 2 weeks later to finish the process but they asked me to repay $150 which I wasn't prepared to do. A month later my hair is still a dirty blonde but worse it's been melted so badly that it's ripping out of my head every time I brush or shower to the point that I need someone to cut several inches of hair off. I've been growing it for cultural reasons so while I can cut it I am disappointed in that having to be an option. I have a hard time imagining myself going back. In short: Tried to charge me twice, and my hair has been melted. read more
