I'm sticking with just the facts here as visualized by my spouse...No opinions...No hearsay...No secondhand information, all in hopes the proprietor has a harder time challenging/removing this review: - Receptionist was absent, until a man came in behind her, and then was abruptly quizzing her regarding what she wanted done. - An appointment had been made, but neither the man (later determined to be the owner), nor anyone else bothered to see what had been booked for my wife. - Owner started yelling at staff to see who was available to start any part of my wife's spa afternoon. - Observed from the waiting area: Pedi staff reusing foot bath water. - Strong chemical smell in waiting room, resulting in watering/tearing eyes. - Observed staff "pop head" into waxing room to ask a question without knocking. Waxing room was not locked. - Waxing room walls streaked with water stains. - Dirty floors. - Staff didn't know their way around the room, couldn't find supplies, had to leave to ask where stuff was. I needed a haircut (this was about 2 months ago) and the girl I used to go to moved, so I took a chance. I booked an appointment and I was pleased that they could see me that day. Well .... I explained what I wanted, using photos etc. One girl started cutting. Then, half-way in (seriously, half of my hair was pinned up, un-cut) she had a client walk in. I got transferred to someone else HALF WAY through my haircut. So there I was, explaining. So, this girl (totally not her fault) had to finish the cut. WHAT THE HELL?! I have NEVER had a salon do this. It is ABSURD. The haircut was decent, but not really what I wanted. I will NEVER be back. And rest-assured, I'll tell everyone about my experience. read more

The manicurist/pedicurist was a nice lady. The place overall was not very clean, considering they market themselves as a high end salon, you have to pay almost twice as much you pay for other regular nail salons. the nail file she used seemed to have been used to file everyone's nails in town. On the footbath, at the place where you rest your legs, clearly had streaks or what looked like soap scum. Worst part of this whole experience, my manicure and pedicure started coming off only after 48 hours. It has something to do with the technique. I use similar products (nail polish, OPI, Essie) for both professional and at home manicures/pedicures and my pedicures last minimum a two weeks and my manicures at least a week. I went to Salon Palomo before my wedding to get a beautiful all over beach blonde look. After I paid for their services and went home it was brought to my attention that my hair was not blonde but orange! Indeed it was. After freaking out and wanting to pull a Britney, I messaged the "master stylist" who did my hair. She said; and I quote: "I'll be honest Saturday we didn't have a lot of toners I was actually freaking out". Salon Palomo allowed me to leave knowing that my hair was not completed. I called the "owner" and asked politely for a refund but was told that I was acting like a crazy person and at one point he growled at me. Then I was told that he highly doubted that it was as bad as I was saying because they have 30 years of experience and "the best salon in Corpus Christi". Well guess what Mr. big head, the "best" doesn't treat their clients like this or allow them to step foot outside looking like a darn clown. In order to be professional you need keep product in stock, not hope for the best when messing around with someone's hair. Also the hair cut was AWFUL, butchered my layers and didn't fully do my highlights, I'm talking about an inch below my scalp. What the heck did I pay for? The place is dirty and unorganized. Yasmin did an amazing job on my nails. I found a great deal on Groupon for mani pedis and made my appointment for the next day. Yasmin took great care of me and my nails. I loved how she ensured every inch of my nail had polish on it. My favorite part would have to be the scrubs. They smelled sooo good and made my skin super soft. I purchased a groupon for the deluxe manicure and pedicure for $27. There was absolutely nothing deluxe about my experience. The nail tech barely removed my current polish and left traces at all of the edges. She Did absolutely NO cuticle treatment (clean up or anything) and the nail polish job was sub par at best. The pedicure I "thought" was going well until she wrapped my legs with lukewarm and DIRTY towels. They smelled like mildew and were stained repulsively. Again the polish job was really poor. Been here to get a pedicure and mani through the groupon deal. Seriously best shellac I have EVER had! It lasted 2.5 weeks before it slowly started to chip. The chip was pretty clean to, meaning my nail wasn't damaged and it would've been easy to just take off in one pull. Christina did a GREAT job, plus she's really sweet! There were a few hair stylists who seemed to have an attitude, one which I even said hello to because I wanted to compliment her hair & discuss some future possibilities, but she wouldn't even look at me. To be more specific, my stylist Analisa was AMAZING.. I have curly hair and really needed some guidance. She listened to my concerns and desires. There wasn't anything "deluxe" about the manicure or pedicure, but Tracy, the lady who did mine, did a really good job with what she did. And I'm really impressed with the job she did painting. That's usually my biggest complaint about nail places: they don't actually take good care when they're painting, and the manicure ends up being crap because of that. She was very careful and precise. The chair I sat in jets didn't even work . She had me just soak my feet in warm water no soap or fun stuff for about 20 min , while she finished someone else's nails . This place is a mess, no acknowledgement what so ever when I entered no receptionist, customer service? Basically non existent. Ha. The hair cut not bad. Not really a big fan of stylist who do dry cuts, my hair is curly and dry, so I walked out with more split ends than when I came in! I bought a Groupon for a Mani/Pedi at the begging of the week. I called on Monday to make an appointment, but they were closed. That's fine, totally get it! Called Tuesday morning, the Nail Techs don't come in on Tuesday ‍ But they will call me back. Wednesday came around and I called again. Nail salon review-- walking into the facility I was not greeted. There were not any kind words exchanged or even a smile. However, the nail salon side was very different. Both nail techs were super friendly and talkative. I had the groupon for the deluxe mani and pedi,which they convinced me to upgrade, no big deal. But once she got started I could tell it was going to take a long time. She did a great job in the end but it took well over TWO hours. I got there at 11 and it was after 1 when I walked out the door. I mean she did a great job and I would go back, but only if I had a solid 3 hours to spare. Just like the other raters, i too tried this place twice.my daughter tried it once for acrylic nails and pedi..i was charged 125 for an ok cut and root touchup. I have short hair..just below my ears...i listened to them talk about getting ppl in on the groupon and convincing them they are in desperate need of a color and cut fix....then saying a free cut with color...=125 @ checkout. This place is filthy and crowded and other than how great (they think) their skills are, all they talked about was trying to get a reality show...the entire time i stared at a stained up ceiling...haircolor splattered on the walls. My hair was pretty long past mid back and what i wanted was at least half of my head shaved its hot all Year around here so yea i was tired of long hair. My first time going here for a haircut and style w/treatment from Groupon was good the lady did a great job on my hair hardly any wait time so I decided to come back. Second time I came about 5min early from my appt time scheduled. After some time of waiting I asked how much longer would it take seeing that it's been already 40min past my appt time. Receptionist then said oh I'm sorry I forgot to put you in. When as soon as I walked in I put my name on the list up front... I was the only person in the waiting area and the whole salon saw me there yet I was being ignored there was at least 2 stylist who were just chit chatting who could have seen me but for whatever reason choose not to. When I finally got called my stylist barely said a word to me. I felt so uncomfortable and felt like I was a burden the whole time. It's not like I wanted to have the most meaningful convo but hey a sentence here and there just to be friendly would of been nice. Especially since I had to wait longer than I should have. Stylist here do cut hair dry which I was surprised but I'm giving 2 stars only because the stylist did do a good job for my hair and took time to style it the way I explained.
