One-star nightmare with Nina the "nail tech." Went in expecting a basic fill and shape. What we got was amateur hour that shouldn't be charged for, let alone defended. Lena left zero apex on one nail -- completely flat and weak. On the rest she didn't pack the acrylic into the sidewalls properly, leaving obvious pits along the sides. Basic technique she either never learned or simply doesn't bother to get right. To top it off, she was about to slap the top coat on without even cleaning the dust off the nails first. My wife calmly pointed out the problems and asked her to fix them. Lena's response? She started crying. Not because the work was bad -- because someone expected her to correct her own mistakes. Then the tech next to her jumped in with the classic line: "It's your fault she's crying. You made her cry." No. The crying happened because Lena cannot perform the basic steps of the job she is being paid to do and collapses the second a client asks her to fix the damage she caused. That's not "mean clients." That's an inexperienced tech who shouldn't be touching clients' nails until she can build an apex, fill the sidewalls correctly, and remember to remove dust before top coat. $90 that should've been $0 after this experience. I've never left a yelp review before, but actual felt like it was my civil duty to warn anyone who wants to get there nails done and have a nice experience the Corpus Christi area to NOT GO HERE. The culture of this nail shop and the vibe is appallingly rude. I've never experienced so much discomfort while reviving any service of any kind I made an appointment online for 6:15pm with my sister. And we got our pedicure. Then when it came time to get my nails done my sister started getting her gel polish and was almost finished by the time I got started. Because I asked for dip.... 5 other walk ins got started in this time... Three separate employees came up to me and asked me what I wanted I said dip full set acrylics. And they asked what I wanted to drink and didn't bring it out. They did not begin my nails either. About 40 minutes into my sisters nails I ask another employee when I will start my nails, they then begin. And prep my nails, and almost apply acrylic to my nails. I asked for dip again. Which is when the employee began arguing with me. She got her neighbor and had her neighbor employee say that their dip will break and not to get it. To which I said dip please. They then asked me why not. At this point it feels like we're arguing. She then slams her brush down walks away and is very clearly extremely upset. (For me asking for a service I made a reservation for)...So uncomfortable. The ringer they charged us 275$ for two pedicures with polish. One full set of dip and one gel polish no tips. We got in at 6:15 I didn't get out until 8:15. Again I never have made a post on here, I've never been so appalled with a service I've received. Just needed to warn yall for real don't come here. I asked for these nails, came out nothing how I wanted. They were okay but not what I was looking for. I kept asking for these price and tried to started a conversation with the tech He wouldn't tell me the prices and kept saying they'll tell me when I'm done and kept recommending me to add things without telling me if it would cost more. my first time at this establishment. the atmosphere was wonderful but the work was terrible. I got plain square tip ombre. Edges were not cleaned up correctly and and all in all it was just a lazy job. Half way through my set she stopped to put acrylic on one of her nails because it was broken. I also got a pedi with the wax, that was wonderful and the woman who did that service was amazing. Really expensive. They charge $35 for a fill which I think that's fine. But $5 to take off gel. $15 for gel polish. And $5 to cut your nails - that's what got me. I know it's only $5 but why are you charging to cut down nails? When I questioned if they charged me right the lady asked if I was new to corpus. Don't know why that matters. I asked how much for a full set. It was $5 more than what I paid for a fill. I commented that the fill was expensive. She told me to "quit it". I wasn't being rude or trying to argue. I simply thought that it was expensive. Then she proceeded to ask the lady behind me how much she pays for a fill. Which I thought was rude because like I said I wasn't trying to argue at all. She was going to do my nails but there was miscommunication so she realized I wanted just a gel manicure & not a full set manicure with powder she drops my hands, picks up her supplies and walks away without telling me anything & starts arguing with her coworker in Vietnamese. I decided to leave bc she is so rude, but it just happened that my husband prepaid my manicure bc we got pedicure first & I stayed to get my nails done. According to the cashier, the salon cannot give refunds, for a job that was never done? Pathetic. So I walked out without my refund & they kept my money bc all they could do was very me a gift card which I didn't want bc I am never going back. I booked an appointment for a shellac manicure which showed $32 online. When I sat down for my manicure, I was told I'd be getting an "overlay" because my nails are weak, which is powder on top of my real nail. I said that sounds like acrylic and I don't want acrylic or any kind of fake nail. I want what I booked which is shellac or gel. He proceeded to go ahead and put acrylic on anyway. I wish I stuck up for myself and said that is not what I want, but I'm too shy and didn't want to be rude. Then I had to change the color I originally picked because it was too bright (I'm in the military and have to have a certain color) and I said I wanted to compare 2 certain colors and he only came back with 1 of them and said I'm not allowed to change my mind. Upon check out, the bill was $45, which I expected since i didn't get what I booked which would have been $32. I'm very upset that I repeatedly told the tech I didn't want acrylic nails and he blatantly ignored that request in order to get me to pay more and have me come back for a fill (which I will not be doing). read more

I came here to get a pedicure and I think they did a decent job so when my mom came in town and was looking for somewhere to get her nails and toes done with my daughter, I recommended this place. Yvette did my daughters pedicure and it was amazing. She was super friendly and did a really good job. Annie did my mom's nails and they turned out awful. They up charged my mom for the coffin style which is really weird because her nails were already in that shape. It's not like this chick shaped them. All she did was a little bit of filing and re-dipping so I was super confused about the extra charge. And she had attitude. That's how I remembered her name, "Annie with the Attitude". My moms nails were super lumpy & ugly and She's getting them redone elsewhere. Also, when we left, I tried to find Yvette to tip her & Annie was adamant we give her the cash - who knows if it made it to Yvette. I'll never go back unless I can make an appt with Yvette only. WORST NAIL PLACE IN Corpus Christi ! The owner teresa used to have another location right by H-E-B. At that location one of the employees hit me on the leg because I didn't like how she filed my toes all the way down. I've been to the new location a few times and they've always messed up on my nails and she gets extremely mad and starts talking crap in her own language and good thing that I recorded it this time because she was actually calling me names and I am giving it to a lawyer now. Yesterday me and my husband went to go get pedicures that were supposed to be 35 minutes long and they were like literally 20 minutes long. The lady kept on telling me. Oh you have baby nail oh you have baby nail ... I'm very aware of that, but she just kept on saying it! They then proceeded to give my husband a manicure and didn't even file his nails correctly. I went to go sit down to start on my nails. I told the girl that I wanted them short and coffin shaped. She told me that she couldn't do coffin shaped because they were too short. That's a lie because everywhere else I go they can do it. They had to have two other nail techs come over to me and try to fix the shaping because she just kept on saying oh your nail so small. My husband made a big deal about paying almost $200. And asking teresa to fix them and asking her to be respectful and not be speaking to us or about us in a different language yelling in front of all the customers in the whole place! They proceeded to take my nails off without asking me and gave my husband the money back. I'm still today peeling off the nails that they left on.
