Swap meet/Flea market on the bottom floor. Event rooms on the second floor. This place is a throwback to another time. It's a very different location. The manager and security people are very pleasant. Most of the kiosks on the first floor have been closed the last three days. There was a well attended quinceañera last night in an event room on the second floor. I'm not sure how to rate this place. read more

A hidden gem. When my previous venue canceled my daughter's quinciañera 7 months prior, this was the only place I found in such short notice with the date I needed available and I'm glad I did! Martha and her team were so helpful. The day do the event the hall looked beautiful, staff was on point, food was delicious. I got so many compliments from my guests. We used the City Banquet Hall for our dad's repass and we were so happy with the set up. The lady we dealt with (sorry I forgot her name) was so very patient with us as we ended up in tears a few times. The exchanging of money was very easy and the cost was less than other halls around the area. They set it up with my dad's favorite colors and there was enough space for everyone. Take care of their room and they'll return the deposit. We are thankful for this place because we are not from the area and didn't know what we were going to do after my dad's services. Yet it all worked out and was perfect. Since the rooms are on the 2nd floor, they have stairs and an elevator access. The restrooms were also clean. I'd recommend City Banquet Hall for any event that fits the purpose. Our dad's day will forever be remembered~ read more

I was looking for something bright and a place that would take care of most of the details and after praying about it I stumbled on this adorable venue . They are amazing party planners . They Decorate the place very well and handled so much ranging from the food to the cake , decor etc . Martha is extremely patient and kind and will customize your celebration and will step in and do almost whatever you like . She is always available via text . On the day of the celebration Emma handled everything with poise and grace . The chef is also good . Just had my daughter's quince here..both Martha and Emma very pleasant to work with. Payment arrangements perfect options. When I was doing my contract they didn't rush me, I added acouple things to the venue thru out the time and never once did they have a problem. The bigger hall is nice and elegant, very clean, love the new carpet. Food was great, decor was beautiful, chandelier fits perfect right in the center. Restrooms very clean. Security actually doing there job. Martha was there thru out the whole night, attentive to my needs along with the waiters. Parking lot extremly convenient. Cameras through out the whole Hall , being that its in Compton everyone hesitates. Overall I loved how everything came out. Couldn't have asked for more or anything different. We just had our wedding here. Jonathan and Bianca 9/9/2017 small banquet room(180 guest). We loved it so so much. its clean, beautiful, they have packages so you dont have to worry about anything. Martha was super sweet and did everything possible to satisfy us. She is amazing and i am grateful she understood us. I was extremely surprised with this banquet, and the amenities provided during our event. This last weekend we celebrated my God Daughters baptism, this place was perfect. From the security to the service provided but the waitresses. The thing that surprised me the most was how organized everything was, from parking, to ensuring all the needs were met. Recently attended a wedding at this venue and a few years ago attended a 15ra. Two banquet halls located above a small indoor Swapmeet. Both halls are enclosed with no outside view. There are serval stalls in the women's restroom and a couple in the men's. These restrooms are shared by both halls. As the hours pass restrooms tend to start getting dirty. They had no one to maintain the restrooms. Restrooms were filthy by the time we left. Parking is crossing the street from the structure with a security guard but there's not enough parking to accommodate all guest attending both banquet halls. For additional parking you must park in the nearby streets. Venue has security guards. This particular day there were more women security guards and 2 male security guards. Good thing there were no fights. In events where there is alcohol served until closing time it can be a bit dangerous if drunk people get out of control. I don't doubt that these women might be stronger than they look but in the event of a fight between men, women's strength doesn't compare to a mans strength. Therefore they can get seriously hurt as well as the possibility of guest getting hurt too. The venue had food servers and 1 alcohol handler. We arrived shortly after the scheduled dinner start time. It took about an hour after arriving for a server to get to our table to ask us if we had eaten dinner yet. Huge white plates were brought to our table with baby portions. The baby portions were spread out to make it looked like larger portions, but it was not enough to cover up the plate. To top it off the food was cold. Food that was served was beef birria, Mexican fried rice with 3 corn tortillas. It was a stand alone dinner, No salad no appetizers. I should have taken a picture, but at the moment i didn't have any intentions to write a review. A small pitcher of soft drink was brought to the table for 7 adults and 4 kids ages ranged between 9-14. If you ask me 1 small pitcher is not enough. Next time we saw a server was when they came to pick up the huge white plates. There was WiFi available for the guest, but when we asked for the WiFi password none of the security guards or the lady in charge of the banquet halls that day knew the password. This couple must have had about 6-8 round wedding cakes. Once again the servers brought a baby portion slice of cake. To be honest I don't know if the food portions were controlled by the couple who booked the venue or if this is the normal operations of the venue. As a guest I had a good time with the live musical entertainment that the wedding couple provide for us. And although so far all the reviews posted previously from mine are good reviews, I had to share my dissatisfaction. Based on the service provided by the venue, I myself expect more from a venue. As a host I expect even more. I want my guest to have a good if not the best event experience in one of my events . I want my guest to have a good hot adult serving of food and if there is food leftover to have seconds. And their security and mine is a major plus. I am not a fan of getting a nice gown and shoes ruined by what I am assuming to be urine on the restroom floor. In conclusion would I consider having an event in this venue? Based on my overall experience I definitely would have to say NO. I hope this review is helpful if you should decide to host an event in this location. Perhaps you can discuss these negatives with the venue coordinator to make sure your guest do not have the same experience we had this particular day. Best of luck read more

Hello I just had my wedding on May 5, 2018. My experience at this hall was amazing. The hall is beautiful, it has a lot of restrooms, it's very clean. They have great bartenders. The waitresses are very nice and they maintain the hall clean. Security personal are excellent and what can I say about the food and the cake "GREAT". If you need to reserve this hall contact Martha she is amazing. She helped me so much and made my wedding event a lot easier. She gave me ideas for the wedding. I highly recommend Martha. I forgot to purchase some items that were needed and she jumped right in and was able to get them. That made a huge impression.
