Toni and staff at Salon Salon are first class and extremely accommodating. I have been a customer for the past ten years and can say with out hesitation that it is a pleasure to support this local establishment. For the past 20 plus years Salon Salon has been a pilar in the local community and one that personifies the true meaning and importance small businesses provide to the fabric of this economy. I find it appalling that someone would use this site to make false accusations and comments that are absolutely unfounded and out right lies. To say that Salon Salon is old and straight out of the 70s and the hair on the floor is probably from the 70s make you look bitter and spiteful. To say this business is not up to Destin standards is also appalling. If memory serves me correct.. Salon Salon has only been in this very upscale location for maybe 5 years.. This simple math problem gets us nowhere near the 70s and I'm sure the rent on the place is in the top 2% of retail locations in Destin. I normally don't participate in petty arguments with bitter people on sites such as this but the fact that someone would use a forum in which a lot of consumers depend on for quality recommendations and spin false narratives is in my opinion a misuse and total waste of people's time. I for one support the local business and do what I can to keep my money in Destin. If I have issue with someone I discuss it face to face. As a life-long resident of the area (and a natural brunette who has been highlighting since 7th grade), I have tried most of the salons and stylists in the area. And we have some really good ones. I don't tend to move around much but I do usually start yearning for a change (in hairstyle, color, stylist...) after about two years or so. I remember in my teenage years having a cut and color that looked as amazing out of the shower and just blowing it dry as it did if I spent hours on it. But I haven't really had that since. Except for one time when I booked an appointment in a top San Diego salon while I was there on business. So, I knew "it" (the perfect cut, color, stylist...) was still out there. I even contemplated flying to San Diego 4 times a year to get my hair done believe it or not. Then, I met Toni at Salon Salon. I finally found what I was looking for here locally! My color is perfect for me, the cut is modern and a little hip but not so much where I feel like people wonder if I know how old I really am (42). Simply put, Toni is amazing. She showed me some magazines (Glamour, I think) from the past where she had been the hairstylist. Pretty cool. But most importantly, I get a lot of compliments on my hair and I don't have to spend hour after hour flat ironing it or curling it, etc. I wholeheartedly recommend Toni and Salon Salon. Keratin!!!! Let me start with the fact that I have been going here for 2 years now, since I moved here from Atlanta. I was a client of Van Micheal for years, Carter Barnes, and several other highly regarded salons while in the Atlanta area. I have a difficult color to replicate and after some research and asking around I decided to try Salon Salon with Toni. She matched my color and cut!!! I was so relieved! I have long, frizzy, wavy red hair and I have had several keratin treatments while in Atlanta from various salons with different results. Toni did a new Keratin treatment on my hair 2 months ago and it has been awesome! Still smooth and easy to style. It has cut my hair time in half. Love It!! Best thing.... I moved here from Denver 2 yrs. ago and my hair was damaged beyond belief. I researched here in Destin who could do my hair and take the time to baby it. Toni came up with the best reviews for damage hair. Let me tell you she has treated my hair so fragile that 2 yrs later my hair is the healthiest it's EVER been!! When I moved to Miramar Beach I needed to find a new hairdresser. My hair needs sound simple; longish and straight, with highlights, right? But I'm picky about cut and don't want tiger stripes for highlights. I stopped by Salon Salon in the Best Buy shopping center when I shopped at Michael's for art supplies. Toni, the owner was very welcoming, the salon was spotless and pretty, and, although the salon was very busy, Toni offered to fit me in in fairly short order. When Toni did my hair we discussed the cut and how it could be tweaked for a younger look and ease of care. She put flattering highlights in to frame my face and randomly throughout to cover gray. I love this salon! Every single hair stylist is super friendly, the place is exceptionally clean and over the course of 3 years Lenni (my hair dresser), has rehabbed my hair from a dull/fried mess to a healthy nourished head of hair. I recently went in to get a formaldehyde free smoothing treatment and the results were absolutely amazing. The best treatment I have ever had. If you're looking for a great cut,color, treatment etc., this is the place to be. I've had it all done here and have always had a great experience from the moment I walk in to when I leave. I don't normally write reviews but I would like to say that Toni has been cutting/coloring my hair for approximately 1-2 years. It is difficult to find a stylist that isn't "scissor happy" or "color happy!" I have had horrible experiences in the past and not only does Toni really listen to your needs/wants, she sincerely helps you decide what is most flattering for your face/style/look. Love this salon. I live in Nashville, but I visit my Parents place in Destin often. Every time I am in Destin I have Pam trim and color my hair.
