I typically would not leave a review for a place where I have not received a service. However, the unprofessional conduct and my loss of time and money over the ordeal has me frustrated enough to share my experience. I scheduled an appointment for a basic haircut for 9AM morning of March 6. I informed the person I had to work at 10:30 and asked if that was enough time. She said absolutely it would be enough time. I received two reminder texts regarding the appointment and made sure to get there on time. Upon arrival, the salon was closed and dark. I checked the door just in case and it was locked. I waited 10 minutes and no one showed up. I tried the door one more time and knocked on it, of course with no response because it was closed and no one was there. What is especially frustrating is that I was offered a job this morning that I turned down because I wanted to keep my hair appointment. The lack of courtesy and not getting a phone call or an explanation just stinks! I called the salon number (which loops to a (949) cell #) when I arrived home and received no answer. The voicemail greeting doesn't even identify the salon. I completely understand that things happen and I would've been happy to reschedule if I knew there was a need. To be blown off and have my time wasted and money from my missed job down the drain, makes me not even want to try again. ETA: The voicemail I received 35 minutes later only said you'd misplaced your phone and were on the way to the salon. Making your problems someone else's is the height of unprofessional read more

I am happy with the my results of the Brazilian blowout. Sally was a joy but there were a few weird things..I have had several and this one was a bit different. First she charged me more for the length, and no past stylist has done that, second the product application seems skimpy (if you are gonna charge more, fine use more product), she didn't leave the product on my hair (my previous stylist let it sit for at least 20 while I was under a dryer) - she started blow-drying and flat iron immediately. The result is good. I wouldn't say great. I have had them done where the hair is so flat it seems stuck to my head. I waited 3 days to wash my hair and it seems flat and non-frizzy after I blowdried it. The truth will come if I can get this to last a full 4 months like my last one and I let it air dry. I would go back but not if she charges me for more product that I wasn't even sure she used. The jury is still out but this weekend will be telling when I let it dry naturally. read more

This is a very difficult review to write, the reason why is that I was very excited to meet Sally! She seemed like a sweetheart! And I was actually very disappointed I bought a Groupon and I expected to pay extra coz my hair texture , I went my friend before to get her hair done in Newport Beach and she paid $35 extra so I expected the same or even less. She also had really long thick hair So I go there and she tells me that I'll pay $65 extra which was shocking to me, she was also a little condescending which I felt disrespected because she seems like a nice lady ! Maybe she's having a bad day, But that's not a excuse. Here is the pattern that I noticed in her reviews, majority of the Groupon comments are negative other than that it is positive Also , she's charging extra $40 for length and thickness based on reviews but she charged me $65 and here's the reason why! She asked me if I want a haircut and I said no! Which made her raise my fee , she is not consistent with her pricing My conclusion is that she's greedy and not strategic, she wants money on the spot and not looking for a long term customer that she can make happy so that can come to her in the future. I booked an appointment online for my daughter who wanted a small trim. The price booked was $40. She asked Sally to dry it and when I went to pay she said my total was $80 and I asked why. She said it was because of the length of her hair and I could have ten dollars off. Also, she charged me for drying her hair. I've never spent that much money on a haircut and my daughter is now in tears because she has very short layers around her face. If you are going to double the price she should at least tell you before giving you the bill. read more

I came in with long hair and wanting a trim of about 3-4 inches and some layer. It ended up being 8in off. I left with shoulder length hair and many tears. It's been over a month and I am still devastated. What I thought was layers being trimmed off was actual length. I had to ask her to stop because she just kept cutting. Then she put so many ugly curls at the end I couldn't even tell how the cut ended up. She told me I looked 15 yrs younger. I'm 30... come on. She asked if I like it, I could barely speak I was trembling and just said how short it was. I was so optimistic of having this salon a bike ride away. Now I hope they go out of business. They don't even live around here. It seemed to only be the one hair dresser (mother) and her daughters are running the business. I'll be back to normal in about 5 years if I'm lucky. read more

Really happy with my Brazilian blowout, it worked really well and I love how smooth my hair is now. I have really frizzy hair so Brazilians help calm my hair but not all salons actually use the original product and it doesn't work too well after I wash my hair but I love how this turned out.
