Cheveux has several independent staff, so the experience will depend on your artist. My wife has been following Summer for several years before she began work here, and I cannot say enough. My wife loves changing her hair, frequently getting different colors and other treatments that had left it severely damaged. The first time she went to Summer it was amazing, even with a completely different color her hair felt full and cool to the touch. I actually just left the salon (literally) and was so happy with the results I immediately came to post this review as soon as I got in my car. Hi again! Here is my third review for this place! :) I was seeing Sandi for quite a while and she always rocked it with her serious talent in her profession. But recently, Sandi has stopped working Saturdays and I am a working mom who only has time for myself on Saturday! SO, I was scheduled with Jackie to work on my second treatment of hair stripping (stripping black out of my blond hair while maintaining my hairs integrity). I was apprehensive at first being that she was new to me and new to my hair, but trusted that Sandi has nothing but talented stylists at her salon. Let me just say this, not only was the black color taken out of my hair (all except the tips of the longest layer, but this is a PROCESS), but she weaved in an awesome auburn, blond and some medium browns for lots of depth and style. My hair is still looking healthy and I have an adorable cut and I have my bangs back!!! YAY!!!! Ever since my appointment on Saturday I have gotten nothing but compliments from men and women of all ages, noticing how cute my hair is and saying how much they love the colors. :) Jackie was quick, funky, funny, talented and seriously knows what she is doing!!! Summer has been doing my hair for YEARS and I refuse to let anyone else touch it. She has corrected my color back to my natural red with NO sign of roots when it grows out and she even fixed me up when I let my sister "cut my bangs". If I don't know what I want exactly, I give her guidelines and I am NEVER disappointed. I have been going to the salon for years - not sure how many. (But before they opened this location for sure.) In any case, Erin is amazing. Her skill with color is unparalleled. I get compliments all the time and the cut is always cute and on trend. She keeps my coarse hair from looking like straw with the Olaplex product line and it has never been as soft as it is now. The service was very good, I received a hair, color w/highlights and a ouidad cut from the owner, she was very articulate on what she was doing. If the cost wasn't so expensive I would rate a full 5 stars but in comparison to Las Olas Beauty in Florida which I had been getting Ouidad certified haircuts from Jacob on two occasions for $60 on the same length that is right on the jawline (short) and not 5 times the cost which is A BIG DIFFERENCE for the same short length. I will try and go for just a hair cut and if the price remains high I'll try to find another Ouidad salon and do the coloring some where more affordable. read more

I have been going to Shelly for Ouidad cuts for almost 2 years now and although they are pricey I wouldn't know if I could trust my hair with anyone else. Having extremely thick coarse curly hair she has done the best job with my hair and over the years I have been to several stylist who in fact just made me not like my naturally curly hair but not with Shelly. I love and appreciate my hair, just with the right type of cut, my hair naturally just flows to these awesome curls and I have never got more compliments with the cut and especially just leaving the salon. conveniently located off main in huntington, cheveux archives is located near two shopping plazas with shops like trader joes, aerosole, vans. It is near the 405 freeway, near beach blvd and the beach. even if you dont live in the area you can easily make a day out of visiting this salon. you will not regret it especially if you have curly hair. erin is fantastic with curly hair. I have fine curly/wavy hair depending on how it's cut. I am from TX. I want real curls, with body and touchably soft curls. not beach waves stuck to my head. erin listened to me. asked questions, told me how to do my hair, and she wasn't in a rush. she took her time. I did my hair today *drum roll* and oh my goodness! i have not felt so sexy, cute, and beautiful all at the same time. my bangs are cut where i can use a flat iron to swoop them down and back a little or leave them be for a more bed head look. depending on what product i use i can make it nice and messy or soft and beautiful. i love my hair cut. erin is more than worth 100$ she had cookies, coffee, a super awesome lady with a beautiful accent working the front desk. seriously she is so happy and bubbly. she should have her own tv show. i would watch it. my boyfriend is going crazy over my curls! i liked it when i left. i love it now. which is the most important thing for me. my hair is so easy to do now. my life has become less stressed about how im going to do my hair tomorrow. p.s. i dont really like the ouidad products. i bought the finishing spray. i havent tried it. the products made my hair feeling dry and sticky made it feel stuck. but who cares??? read more

I was very nervous about going back to curly hair after all these years, but Shelly ended up being a terrific hairstylist. This was the BEST haircut I have ever had.... EVER!!!! I have super curly hair, which has been a misery to me for my whole life because no one ever knew how to cut or style it. I went to see Erin today, and she completely changed the way I feel about my hair. She gave me a great cut and color, and then took the time to teach me how to deal with my curls so that they don't look kinky and frizzy... but soft and supple. This was the very first time I've ever walked out of a salon where I didn't pray that I wouldn't run into someone I knew, and then dash for the car to hide because the style was so horrible. I have struggled to get someone to cut my long curly hair and had pretty much grown it out for a year except for some minor trimming. I was very frustrated. I read about Salon Cheveux on the Ouidad website and was very excited! I booked in with Shelley and I was so impressed with how she listened to everything I had to say and then told me things about my hair that no hairdresser has ever mentioned. She then did a cut and then did the Ouidad cut over the first one so the curls would hang right. Then I got a lesson on how to use the products. My husband took tons of pictures of me when I got home because he has never seen my hair look so good! I told Shelley I am officially in love with her!! I needed an emergency hair cut, so I looked up the salon (as I live 3 min walk away from it, but never dared to enter... not sure why?) thinking that I did not care any more, just wanted a hair cut, as anything I got before were pathetic. I looked it up on yelp, saw the previous reviews, I recorded Erin and Jackie as being highly recommended, so I called. The lady at the front desk (I wish I remember her name, as she was sooo nice!) did everything she could to squeeze me in, and she got me an appointment with Jackie. I called at 5pm, appointment: 5:30pm! I took a picture off of Internet, with what I wanted, and when I showed it to Jackie, she said on the spot: "that's what I was thinking when I saw you - that look!" (Of course, you'll say it's easy AFTER she saw the picture) But not only she knew what I wanted, and what would look good with my face, she also cut my the way I wanted!
