Finally found a salon for haircuts at great prices!!!! Made an appointment with Peter and he was amazing. So much experience and knowledge in styles. He knew exactly what I needed!! I wanted face framing and long layers. He gave me tips and how to style and care for my hair. Super nice and takes his time. I have long hair and the hair cut, wash, and style was $65. Will definitely be coming back for regular haircuts with him. read more

First I thought it's an actual hair salon but it's a rent place individual place, which I already had a bad experience a place like that in the past. I had Peter as a hair stylist swore he's good, so I gave it another try, I told him I wanted a balayage and a trim, but he suggested that his way with different style are better, so I trusted him and now my hair color is not what I'm looking for, and my trim became a horrible hair cut and I were uncomfortable when he washed my hair. I wish I could have express my bad experience right then but it's too late even if I told him about my trim and not an uneven haircut it won't bring my long hair back. The sad part is that I paid $355 and came out with kinda the same color I walked in with beside now it's short. Please everyone make sure ask if it an actual hair salon or not because it does makes a big difference. I'm still grieving about my hair rn. Ugh read more

made an appointment easily for a trim through yelp, but they do walk-ins as well! i was quoted "$45 depending on length & thickness" which i thought was a great deal, my total ended up being $70 + tip (i have long, thin hair) but i ended up just getting a trim, 3-4 inches off i asked for advice on whether i should get curtain bangs or face framing layers which was what i already had & she recommended face framing layers because i have pin straight asian hair, & based off my daily routine, i wouldn't want to style curtain bangs everyday. not sure the name of who helped me, but she was so sweet & easy to talk to nice cut, includes hairwash & blowdry read more

I've finally found my go to place for haircuts, and I couldn't be happier! Peter has given me the best haircut of my life--I feel confident, my hair is easy to manage, and I get compliments on it often. Peter gave me my first lob, and easily found a specific cut that suits me. He truly listens and understands my hair type, which is thick and wavy, and knows exactly what's needed to make it look best. The whole experience is always enjoyable :) Located in a small plaza, parking is fairly easy to find. If you're looking for a stylist who is kind and really knows their craft, I can't recommend Peter enough. I won't be going anywhere else! read more

I came here for a touchup for my hair after growing out my balayage for nearly two years and trusted Travis with it. He absolutely SLAYYYED. I've never been more happy with a haircut. My hair went from looking crusty to looking healthy and beautiful. Travis was really thorough during my appointment and communicated every step he was planning to do with my hair. He makes sure you get what you want, but is also realistic with your hair type and how it holds up with the style you want. I never want to write negative review but I was so disappointed how my hair turn out. Come for simple trim at the ends and on the bang. I even use previous pic of previous customer for reference. Then decide to dye my hair since my previous color already faded. Simple dye NOT balayage, highlight, ombre or even bleach. The dye didnt show up unevenly, so they have to put me through another session again (4hr total) ... And the color turn out not even the way i want it. They said it should be the color i want after few wash. This is not what I expect when i come here. They should consult me better before we start the session. The dye job was sloppy, stain everywhere on forehead. The hair cut cant even save it. The bang looks bad and they dont event know how to style it. I walk out completely like the same person as i come in and i have to paid 200+. All my friends all shocked when they see the result and know how much i paid for it. At least the salon was empty so i have the whole place for myself, but i have a very upset night. -- +added after manager response: i didnt say the price is unreasonable, i respect the work and time but i had paid the same price at other places and received better result. If they did check and consult about my hair condition , advise with what is the best color for this case i would be happy to listen because that is the reason why i come for experts. But no...They let me choose the color, said ok without any mention about the red tone and how hard to fix it, turn out uneven - the person did my hair have to ask another hair dresser what to do to fix it and said don't know why it is like that. THAT'S WHY IT TOOK 4HRs and the color turn out totally different from what we discuss but we have no choice. It is different from complaining about the price for 4hrs session. I am disappointed about the extra time to fix the hair color to be even ( unaware) and the end hair color is not what i want. (Not mention about hair cut & stains) Maybe my last review didnt go in details but hope the manager understand from customer perspective rather than responded like that... :( just make me extra sad lol read more

This review is for Travis! I yelped a couple salons to find someone to give me a good haircut. My hair girl is all the way in LA and since moving its been tough to make it to her with distance. With a couple of horror visits, I think I found someone I can trust with my hair. I booked an appointment with Allure for a trim. I realized its hard to find just a place for a simple cut when every salon markets their hair dying service, which I'm not interested at the moment. I was matched with Travis and he was super welcoming. We had a nice conversation throughout the whole appointment. His patience and communication was great. Asking what I thought multiple times, if i'm okay with length and feel. I felt really taken care of and heard. Even though it was just 2 inches off, my friends noticed and complimented my hair :) Will be back for my next cut!! read more

When it comes to hair color, sticking with a stylist that knows your hair is so important. Been with Peter for years, and it's great having an expert who knows exactly how to handle your hair. I have colored my hair both light and dark, kept long or cut short, and styled straight or curly with Peter and received compliments every time. He makes sure you're happy with the results, and will re-do it if necessary, which I appreciate. Also, he and his assistants are all super kind and fun to chat with. He sometimes does giveaways and or just surprises loyal customers with free hair care products, which is a testament to the kind of stylist and person he is! Unfortunately, most of the other times I visited, the staff seemed somewhat unfriendly. Yesterday, I brought both my daughter and my son in for haircuts. The salon did not seem very busy, so I asked if chị Hiền could cut my daughter's hair. She was busy, so I said anyone could take care of my kids. From the beginning, it felt like no one wanted to do children's haircuts. I'm not sure if it's because kids' haircuts are priced lower, but several stylists kept saying, "I have an appointment next" or "I'm busy." Eventually, one stylist agreed to cut my daughter's hair, and the front desk asked me to wait about 20 minutes for my son's haircut. I was perfectly happy to wait. However, the haircut itself was disappointing. Even my 8-year-old could tell it looked nothing like the reference photo we showed. He was just doing it the way he wanted despite I clearly told him what I wanted for my daughter's hair After waiting about 30 minutes while my daughter's haircut was being done, the front desk again asked if anyone could cut my son's hair. Once again, several stylists said they were busy or had customers. At that point I was frustrated and said, "That's okay, I don't need it anymore." What made it worse was that as I was leaving, I noticed a couple of stylists standing around without clients instead of helping with my son's haircut. I can honestly say that I've visited this salon three times, I tip generously, and I've never been picky. If you're considering this salon for children's haircuts, I would recommend looking elsewhere. In my experience, they do not seem to specialize in little boys' haircuts, and some of the staff are not particularly kid-friendly unless you already have a favorite stylist. Because of this experience, I don't think I'll be returning.

Probably the worst haircut I've ever had. I've been tying my hair and clipping the bangs up until it grows.

this review is specifically for David. But I am a longtime guest of Allure salon and I will be a guest who will keep coming back as well! I am not originally from here so any time that you move, the worst part about settling in a new area is finding the right salon that will take care of your hair and make it look amazing every single time as well. I visited and tried out a few in Irvine but I had to make the switch and drive a farther distance for better care. Tracy was the first one to impress me on my hair and shortly when I returned after then I met David. David always did a wonderful job with texturing and styling my hair. Whenever he works, he takes the time to check and double check the lengths and how straight the cut is shaping to be. And every single time he is done with the cut, he took the time to blow dry and style my hair. Just recently I asked if color would be good for me (I had dark brown hair before which I decided to dye on my own and it looked really orange lol) and David was thrilled to work on my hair! I originally wanted a more lavender/silver blonde but David explained what would look good on me and what wouldn't so we went towards a platinum blonde/silver. My first session was a labor of love, about 5 hours in the chair but the work, PHENOMENAL! I absolutely loved it! David took the time and care on my hair to make sure the work was even, toned, and beautiful! So many people complimented the work David did on my hair and it showed, even until the next time I returned for another session. I even recommended a few of my girlfriends to come by the salon and try it out too! After all the silver washed out, the blonde underneath it all still glowed. Thank you so much for all the hard work you always do for my hair and for helping me to take good care of the color and style David! I definitely recommend coming to see him! Thanks Allure for all your hard work and the extra care you give to all of your guests...I always observe all of the employees taking their time to listen to all the needs of their guests and going an extra mile to make sure they are comfortable (offering water/coffee, magazines, asking about the right water temperatures when washing hair, working together with you to make sure you get the right color or cut, etc) Some salons I've been to don't even bother to ask specific questions and trust me, without asking questions you will never know whether or not the outcome is what you want. I just came back to Chaos Studio for my blonde retouch and I honestly couldn't be happier with the results. came back for my second appointment to continue working on my dark balayage, and I'm really glad I did. After the first visit, the color already looked good, but this second session made everything feel more finished and balanced. got my balayage done here and I'm actually obsessed. I didn't want anything too crazy -- just something soft and natural that would add dimension without looking super blonde. I've been to Allure Hair Salon a few times, and have been very pleased with the results, so when my girlfriend was looking for a new hair style and stylist I didn't hesitate to recommend Allure to her. My girlfriend made an appointment and went in to get her hair cut and styled. When she got back home I asked her if she was happy with the results. She was pretty quiet about it, but when I asked her once again she told me she wasn't happy with the results of the haircut, but didn't mention it to the stylist. She also told me that it seemed that the stylist didn't have very mush experience. When I asked her the name of who had cut her hair and she mentioned the name of Kelly, I guess she is a new stylist there, as I had never heard of her before. Since my experiences at Allure have been so good and I have read all of the favorable reviews of all the stylists there, I hope that Kelly can get some more experience in working with women's hair before she reaches the level of the other stylists. read more

I do not often get to compliment a business or an employee on outstanding service, but I want to give a thumbs up to Allure Hair Salon and to David. I live in Palm Springs and often have meetings in Orange County. I needed a haircut and was not able to get home to my usual salon and a friend recommended Allure and David. Let me say that I am EXTRMELY fussy about who cuts my hair and how it looks. I was hesitant but really need a cut so I took the advice and went to Allure. David not only did a superb job, but he was polite, listened and did exactly what I asked for. I have since sent several people to Allure to see him, both male and female, and they have all been very satisfied. They are still going there on a regular basis. I go there if I happen to be in Orange County and need a trim. Management should be proud to have employees that care about customers and to make sure they are pleased when they leave. After having a tough month with work, I decided to treat myself to a hair color. First a couple of lessons for everyone: Lesson 1: Always make an appointment. Lesson 2: If you want a color, ALWAYS use an experienced person. From positive yelp review, you should choose Jenny, Tracey, or David. Now back to my story. Not following any of the lessons and instead just walking in to get my color, Kim came to assist me with my treat for myself. After the initial coloring and two attempts to "enhance" the color to get some of the unwanted orange color out, I determined that I had spent enough time in the chair and I was minimally satisfied with the color. Worst place ever. Save time & money and go elsewhere. Had my hair cut and colored; cut is very uneven and I refuse to go back and have Lynn fix it..she chopped off so much more hair than I asked and the back of my hair is so much shorter than the sides. Color was an epic fail. I asked for golden brown highlights and even showed an exact pic of what I wanted; it came out super blonde. I told her that this is nothing like the pic and that we need to put a toner in. It still came out awful and she didn't even start the highlights at the roots. She started 2 inches off the root and called it a natural ombré. I was very excited to get my hair colored and cut after reading all the reviews...I would avoid Lynn altogether. Kudos to Jenny and David!!!! I'm African-American with NO RELAXERS OR CHEMICALS OF ANY KIND!!! She and David did AN EXCELLENT JOB ON MY HAIR!!! It's better than my own MOM can do it!!! I stopped by Chaos Atelier Studio for a simple trim and honestly I'm really happy with how it turned out. I didn't want anything dramatic -- just to clean up my ends and reshape my layers a bit -- and that's exactly what I got. My stylist took the time to ask how I normally style my hair and how much length I was comfortable taking off. I appreciated that nothing felt rushed. I can only speak to my experience with this stylist. Unfortunately, my recent haircut did not turn out as requested. I asked for long layers while keeping fullness at the ends, along with some face framing, and I provided inspiration photos. A cut I've gotten many times. The result was significantly shorter, uneven, and choppy. After the initial cut, we moved straight into styling without any visible checking, blending, or refinement of the shape. I first reached out directly to the stylist, who acknowledged the mistakes, apologized, and issued a full refund, which I appreciated. I then reached out privately to the salon to share feedback. During the conversation with management, the response suggested the result may have been due to how my request was interpreted, rather than solely an execution issue. I was also offered an appointment to correct the cut, but a $50 deposit was requested, and I did not proceed further. Correcting the haircut afterward required multiple follow-up appointments with other stylists to fix the issues, and additional length had to be removed. I had been growing my hair out for over two years, so this was especially disappointing and saddening. I'm sharing this so others have a clear picture of my experience with both the haircut and the follow-up process.

It's naturally curly and light brown, which I haven't seen in 30 years. I bleached it out diet, baby pink, and get extension extensions put in this takes me four appointments. They are really really close to me and so I really really lucked out. Note to anyone who has never been there before, there is always parking right in front. It has a green painted curb though that says it's only 10 minutes, but it doesn't matter. It's fine. You can be there forever. It's fine I promise. Can I go to the nail shop next-door which doesn't really good job too. OK, back to Salon Domane things that I like about them is that I also go there every week with my mother like I said who just turned 80 and has Alzheimer's and jenn is so awesome that she's really booked so now I've seen two or three other stylist for her getting her hair washed and set or colored and they're all good with her. Everyone's really nice. And they have a good system that text messages me with confirmation confirmations and reminders, which is helpful because, well ADHD and stuff. Marissa is Jenny's assistant and she's really awesome too. They use really good products. It's a not a big place. Maybe like 12 stations. So it's not cheap, but it's totally not expensive either. I think it's appropriate. And for me who does extensions, she lets me get my own and bring them in and uses them which saves me money so I appreciate that but I recommend jenn for anything that is "different " as in hair color or styles. She hasn't had "natural" colored hair since I've met her and I haven't since I can remember either so I got lucky that she was the one available when I called to make an appointment with someone because I first found them through Instagram anyways. Lol this is long but that's me. Ashley is really nice, too. I really appreciate how patient they are with me and my mom. I've had to cancel last minute and even I have no showed before and I wasn't charged, which is very generous... Don't do it! Lol but yeah. Everyone's independent I think so. Just find who you like or just call and get the first person available cause I'm sure they'll be good.
