I love this salon and I love my new stylist Desiree. I love the location (it is walkable from my home), I like the size of the venue (very intimate) and I like how cheerful the vibe is and there is ZERO pretension. Lot's of natural light so stylists can see their clients hair! I feel at home there! They take such good care of their clients, very attentive, and offer an array of beverages --- Desiree even sent someone over next door to get me a delicious coffee when I mentioned iced coffee sounded delicious. Above and beyond customer service. Desiree is the best! She is sweet, kind and patient and made my feel at ease. Trust me, you won't regret coming here. I've done A LOT to my hair over the years and found my stylist soulmate in Samantha. She's always really thoughtful in her plan for my hair, listens to what I want, and helps me get there. I have dark hair and she's been able to do everything I want, even lighten it! I've been to other places and always leave looking brassy, but she always does it beautifully and blends in my extensions so well. I am from a small town and new to LA so this was the perfect place for me to go. I called the day of and they made me an appointment for an hour later. Amazing. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiling faces and very warm personalities. That meant a lot to me. Desiree!! The amazing hair goddess!!!! I had very long, virgin hair that needed some taming and highlighting. She really listened to what I asked for and had a great attitude the whole time. We decided to go with a trim and hombre look for my already naturally "dirty blonde" hair and it turned out fabulous. My hair feels and looks healthy, has great layers, and looks totally natural. Nothing was overdone and didn't take too long. This place has a very relaxing atmosphere and I didn't feel pressured by anything or anyone. I was extremely pleased with my entire experience and even though it seemed expensive to me, ($210) I think the rate was probably pretty average for the Hollywood area. Samantha was assigned to me and she and the others greeted me warmly upon arrival. Samantha took the time to talk about my hair routines and was able to discern what I was looking for. Getting a bikini wax is certainly not a pleasant experience, and it's something I usually only torture myself with during the summer months. Came here and booked a last minute haircut. So glad they could fit me in on the weekend. Had an amazing wash and cut last month. My hair stylist did an amazing job trimming my layers and bangs. I wanted to try a new spot for waxing and good reviews led me here. Rina was very, very nice. Though when I told her I wanted to have my eyebrows shaped she informed me they were already too skinny and there wasn't anything she could do. She said I needed to grow them out and come back. She then did just a few strips under the brow and in between yet I was charged full-price. $20 for basically nothing? She didn't even cut them with the scissors! Next she did my lip. I didn't notice until I got home (and after a Trader Joe's run) that she had left fabric from the strips all over my face!! There was also a big chunk of hair left on the side of my lip that she completely missed. To make matters worse, I developed really funky bumps on my lip that lasted about a week. I usually get a tiny bump or two after a lip wax but this was different. These were big, almost hive-like and lasted quite some time. Lastly, I also noticed the double-dipping as someone else mentioned. That's disgusting especially when they're charging you good money for a wax! I'm very disappointed. I went to Salon Three after being disappointed with my previous salon, where I had asked for light chocolate/caramel bayalage and ended up with super blonde (and very damaged) hair, which just didn't' look nice with my dark roots. I showed Heidi a photo of what I wanted and she delivered exactly that! My hair is finally exactly the color I wanted. She also gave me great tips on how to look after my hair, and she gave me a discount on the blow dry. I was expecting to be paying over $200 to fix my hair, but it all ended up being just $80 (toner and blow dry). very happy and I will be seeing her again in the future! read more

Ok so I saw really good reviews on this salon and usually I get my hair done in the valley but I was in the city anyways so decided to try this place out. First of all they took a really really long time and after I left I literally felt my hair still damp in some spots and just not fully styled. They had used a curling iron and some spots were just straight a frizzy....like they missed spots....I just didn't get it. I was rushing somewhere (since they took so long) otherwise I would have gone back). Also the people were being soooo weird and awkward. Like it's not a big salon but they were like whispering and giggling.....I mean I'm not a stuck up person and I'm super friendly and chilled but it was like being around teenagers. I will definitely not be going there ever again! There are wayyy better salons out there. Such a waste of time and money. read more

The location is great, with lots of 2 hour parking right on Martel in front of the salon. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, always offering something to drink or eat.
