I hate salons as a rule. I so rarely come out feeling better about myself - which is why it usually takes a few years to book an appointment. I put in a request via yelp and got a call back within the hour. After discussing what it was I was looking for and getting a complete understanding of the difference in pricing, I booked with Sydney who was a little pricier but I really didn't want to take any risk. I don't even remember what I originally wanted anymore. Sydney took the whole picture into account and helped me clarify my choices. She did a color brightener of my natural color and knowing that I've been blow drying for the last year, she took such good care of me. She gave me a ton of great tips to emphasize my natural curl and I left feeling like a million bucks. A quick note about additional services: They offered me a free facial and arm massage - I think as part of a new customer promo? I've had negative experiences with facials in the past (i.e. hives, redness, burning). I mentioned this and Anca was so gentle and used a cold towel instead of a hot one that I ended up having absolutely no issue. Also...there are dogs. LOVE LOVE LOVE MY HAIR! I was referred to Bell by a wonderful friend of mine after my hair was runed by another stylist. I went for a color correction and she fixed my hair! It's been a process but I wouldn't trust anyone with my hair other than Bell! She's wonderful very professional and skills beyond her years! There was so much damage done to my hair before I found her that I was at a loss for a solution. Not only did she fix my horrific color she fixed the damage on my hair as well. Belle does magic to hair. She is amazing. I have had Japanese hair straightening done with my hair here. My hair is extremely coarse, and they make it look AMAZING! It is so silky and soft. With the Japanese hair straightening done to my hair I have gained so much confidence. It used to take me 3 hours to do my hair, but now it takes minutes. I honestly have nooooo idea what happened to Kim because I had an amazing experience with the Japanese Hair straightening! I did it twice now and my hair looks and feels better than ever. Maybe your hair looks that way because you didn't follow the Japanese hair instructions, which is DO NOT allow your hair to get wet for 3 DAYS. I love Balquees and feels that she listens to what I like and gives me the best advice on how to make my hair long and healthy. I'm very pleased with the results! My hair used to take at least 30 min to blowdry in the morning now it takes 5 min and I receive so many complements on my fabulous hair.....
