I went into this salon via referral with a complicated hair extension situation that was much more complex and delicate that most salons could ever handle. Every single employee in the salon including the owner herself was beyond kind knowledgeable and treated my hair with complete professionalism and competency. I cannot speak more highly of how they attended to my extensions, coloration and upcoming follow up. especially my technician Sam! Bri is an absolute expert in all things hair. She combined different methods (balayage, foils, free hand) to create a completely customized look. She was extremely knowledgeable, and told me all about the different methods, products she was using, the best way to maintain my hair... I learned so much! I've since gone back to get my hair cut. I went in and the guy did a nice job on my hair. I got about 4-5 inches cut off so it was significant. I will say, I think he was afraid to take me that short-I did go back a couple of times because it just wasn't right and I wanted it fixed. After the final fix, it was perfect. Came to this salon 7 months ago when I moved to area b/c they used Redken chromatics. Came every 3 weeks for color touch-up and while the salon itself isn't anything fancy, the price was right for my not so always great results from the beginner stylist I was assigned. I was willing to work with the stylist as he learned about my hair and tried different techniques and formulas. So when I rec'd an email from the salon that my stylist was no longer there, I figured it was a sign for me to move on too. I had always been more unhappy then happy with my results and no one else, not even the owner, stepped up to lend a hand or advice while I voiced my concerns. So, just as I had brought my color formula to this salon, I figured I could get my formula back and move to another salon After weeks of calls and email requests for my formula and being told that the info was being sent, I was JUST NOW told that they can not give me that info Ha! What a bunch of liars. How do you tell someone every time that you call that it being sent or the email address was entered wrong and then finally say you can't give that info out. I know how salons work, I've been getting my hair colored for 25 years. If I had left the salon, I get that you won't give me the "secret formula" but my stylist left - either you fired the person or they quit and now you LIE to me every time I call. Just this past weekend I called again and the owner didn't even have the nerve to tell me the salon's policy. She put me on hold and had the receptionist do it. My daughter came in to get her hair done for a school dance and was quoted $40 over the phone. After receiving the service went to check out and was charged $25 MORE than the price she was told over the phone! After speaking to the owner she was told that she was misinformed and "the best she could do was $50". The worst part is, I was actually a very regular customer of the salon and left due to poor customer service! As a business owner I would think she would want to have some integrity and stand by the price that was quoted over the phone. The stylist did a nice job, but to come in with clean, dry hair and pay $65 to get it curled is REDICULOUS. I hope that getting the extra $10 was worth it to you as a business owner because we will never be back! Buyer beware! read more

Linsey is the best! I always leave with a great cut and color I give her 5 stars. The salon is always very cold and that often makes it uncomfortable for me to be in there. The summer the AC is cranked and the winter the windows let in a lot of coldness. I would definitely recommend Linsey and have to everyone I know, just bring a jacket. read more

I am a floor manager at the best salon in Chicago. With that being said, it's very hard to impress me. I have a soon to be mother in law that can't deal with the city and simply will not even think about coming my way. I guess you could say that a lack of a better word would be stubborn. Anyway. I've had her try multiple salons in her area, none of which I thought gave her even decent results. I basically gave up on finding a colorist/stylist for her. Then I met Rita. And what a godsend. Just from simple conversation I knew she knew her stuff. And again, you don't come across that very often, especially in the suburbs. Beautiful balayage technique, the base color is unbelievable, and not to mention she fixed her more than terrible cut. This woman can give you a cut that looks amazing blown out as well as left curly. I'm not a yelper, but I know at our salon we appreciate the feedback, and I have to give credit where credit is due. Tre Volte Salon has always exceeded my expectations. I have had my hair cut and colored by Michelle numerous times and she always does a terrific job. She is always attentive and listens to my ideas. She pays close detail to what she is doing and I always am happy with the result. She also did my hair and makeup for my wedding along with all of my bridesmaids and it was absolutely amazing. I could not have been happier with how I looked on my wedding day and it was all thanks to Michelle. I have also had my nails done countless times by Alison and she is wonderful. I have difficult hair that might intimidate most stylists: it's waist length, I don't want it short, and it's always dyed. She takes on the challenge and makes it look absolutely amazing! My aunt recommended Tre Volte as the place to go for my wedding hair needs. I went in for a hair trial with Jess. She looked at a picture of what I wanted and then put her own spin on it. Anything we didn't like, she adjusted. She tried multiple styles in the hour I was there. The day of the wedding, we had Jess come out to the hotel and do my hair, my mom's, my sister's, my cousin's and my niece's. Tre Volte was priced very competitively for their in room service, in fact less expensive then most of the near by options. Jess herself is so friendly and so awesome. I had an appointment at 2:00 but during my drive to the salon I got a call saying that my hairdresser would be 15 minutes late. In addition to the inconvenience the service wasn't too good. I was looking for a stylist capable of giving me advice in regards to my curly hair however she didn't style my hair she just cut it and it did not turn out very well. The stylist used a lot of product and blow dried my hair, afterwards my hair was sticky and didn't feel right. Overall I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. read more

My daughter came in for highlights and brought a picture. No one explained that what she was getting based off of the picture was not highlights Iike she requested, but rather "fantasy color" which they have now had to add toner to 3xs, so it is no longer pink. The color in the photo was not pink. The good news, it will be gone w/I 3 weeks. The bad news is she had to spend her entire gift card on color she did not want and will have nothing to show for it in 3 weeks. Sad for her.
