It was like the Las Vegas of hair and beyond! As I walked in, I was warmly greeted. I needed some assistance and advice so a helpful employee as well as the manager assisted me with my purchases. I was able to park my husband in a chair while I ran around exploring everything. In addition to having all the regular drug store fare when it comes to cosmetics and skin care (think Almay, Revlon, Neutrogena, Loreal, etc.), Ulta also carries several lines of skin care and make-up that you see in Sephora and high-end department stores (here, think Two Faced, Philosophy, Bare Escentuals, Kerastase, Anastasia, Smashbox, and the like). They also carry an extensive array of hair care, nail, and body products. For their hair care, they really do have it all, including dozens of specialty lines of professional products for every type of hair imaginable. From the looks of it, the back of the store also doubled as a hair salon, since I saw some ladies getting their hair blown out while seated in salon chairs. Towards the front of the store, they sell a nice selection of designer fragrances, and while they may not carry EVERY scent imaginable or all the latest in perfume/cologne, I did see all of my favorites on the shelves. They carried all the best sellers from Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, D&G, and Burberry, to name a few. Did I mention they carry mens skin care, cologne, and hair cair products as well? They also provide eyebrow waxing, which I'm interested to try out. Ulta offers a rewards card similar to the Sephora card where you accumulate points for every dollar you spend at the store. The saleswoman treated me like I didn't know anything. And when it came time to ring me out, she argued with me about whether I was actually a professional hairdresser or not. I wish I could say this was the first time I was treated badly at this store, but it's not. The sales women are rude and very unprofessional. If you want to frequent Sally's, just make the drive to Howe avenue.

They always take the time to help you find the perfect items to go home with. There are many items, but some of them include shampoos, conditioners, soaps, lotion, facial cleanser, chapsticks, and my favorite... the dryer balls that have various adorable images on them (ex. I finally found it on my own, only to find a completely confusing display of luggage with an indiscernible pricing schedule with prices that made me say "whoa". So I came to this brick and mortar store to buy a piece of luggage to take with me - it seems they would prefer you go online @ jcpenny.com to find a larger selection and discounted pricing - the selection here was not only poor, the prices were ridiculous e.g. the smallest 20" carry-on was priced between $250 - $450 so that's how I get rewarded for coming inside to shop, what a waste of my time. Each time, she's reached over the credit card terminal and pressed "YES" to the question "has the cashier asked for your Drug Mart reward number" The problem is, she doesn't ask for it and is reluctant to put it in when you ask her to. Another time I was in there recently I brought this up to another employee. With a shoulder shrug he replied, "well, that sounds like her!" This stuff shouldn't happen, so a one star rating is the result.
