As a client, what I witnessed and learned about the treatment of a tenant at Salons by JC Casa Linda was extremely concerning. I was present during an appointment when another tenant confronted/harassed my service provider. As a client simply there for an appointment, I should never have been placed in the middle of a dispute between tenants. More importantly, I was disturbed by how the situation involving my service provider appeared to be handled. My service provider shared with me that she had repeatedly reported problems with this tenant to management and felt her concerns were not being taken seriously. I also later became aware of allegations involving the use of a racial slur and concerns that a personal friendship between management and the other tenant influenced how complaints were handled. I cannot speak to conversations or incidents I did not personally witness, but I CAN speak to how uncomfortable and unprofessional the environment felt as a client. I witnessed enough during my own appointment to be concerned about how conflict was being handled. Clients should be able to attend appointments without being pulled into tenant disputes, and business owners leasing suites should feel confident that complaints involving harassment or discrimination will be handled fairly and professionally. Based on my personal experience as a client, I would not feel comfortable returning to this location. read more

DO NOT LEASE HERE!! THEY'RE EVEN DELETING MY POST. I was HARASSED FOR MONTHS by a tenant there and NOTHING ever got resolved. He was friends with the owner of this location so every time I told the owner about an issue she instantly would choose sides. He harassed me and my client during her appointment. He made up issues and the owner did NOTHING to him. I was THREATENED by the owner to terminate my lease or switch suites to accommodate him when it was ME BEING HARASSED BY HIM. After this, I begged to be let out my lease INSTANTLY. She admitted to me that she let her friendship get in the way of her business and also admitted that IF IT WAS ANYBODY OTHER THAN HER FRIEND ( TENANT ) THAT SHE WOULD HAVE HANDLED THE SITUATION DIFFERENTLY. This harassment went on for 2 months straight. I even told a person part of management that I overheard this tenant using the N word and again, nothing got done. This racist establishment is not the friendly place they make it out to be. Please do not lease here. There are amenities that aren't even up to code that the owner knows about and doesn't care enough to get it fixed and inspected. She's putting every tenant at risk of their business by not having this place up to code every day. I will never come back to this place due to the way I was treated by this racist owner and racist tenant that constantly harassed me. After I left, they created several lies about me when I have a letter written by the OWNER that I'm leaving in good standing. A week later I get more threats by the owner that I'm stealing due to their misplacing their own master key. They pretended to file a police report against me when I've never stolen anything from anyone. I can't make this stuff up. My experience was HORRIBLE. EVERY TENANT HAS SAID THAT THE OWNER DOESNT CARE ABOUT THIS SALON ANYMORE as it shows by the lack of responsibility from the owner. AGAIN, DO NOT LEASE AT THIS RACIST SALON SUITES. read more

From my call to set up appointment talked to Carol, she was to friendly and helpful explained each stylist works their own schedule. I needed a stylist who does perms and has experience with Gma's. Carol shared a few names. I called and was able to get in with Vickie H. She was amazing took such good care of Gma and what she wanted done to her hair. Old school perm and style. Gma was so happy. Michael Carter is THE best stylist that I've had. I've had many different stylists over the years, and at many different places--first, as a young teenager and college student in Chicago, then as a law student in Austin, and now as lawyer here in Dallas. Michael Carter is definitely the best stylist I've had. In fact, he is so good (and so reasonably priced), that I don't even think about going to any other stylists! Michael has worked as a stylist for over 20+ years, and because he works on his own for Salons of JC, his prices are reasonable. He's had customers who come back to him over the years, and for good reason. He knows what he's talking about, and he knows what he's doing. When I first met him, it was while I was interning in Dallas for a summer. I had a horrible haircut, and he helped me fix the haircut. He discussed how my hair is naturally wavy, and he showed me where and how my hair waved. He cut the hair to match my waves. Usually, when I first get my hair cut, I don't like how it looks. I think it's because I'm not use to it. It takes me a while to grow into my haircut. However, with Michael, I like my hair, even when its just cut. My hair usually always looks good Because the haircut looks so good, I don't ever feel the need to get it cut for several months. My hair feels very easy to maintain, and still stylish. I've had my hair colored recently, and it looks amazing (the color pops, but it still looks pretty natural). He'll tell you what color matches you, and he understands what I'm looking for. If you want a good stylist at a reasonable price, I'd come here. read more

I've had my haircut and style by Tina for years. In my profession I must aways look sharp and professional and I only trust Tina with my hair. Over the years I have tried other stylist and salons but none of them provides the attention to detail like Tina does. Even the expensive salons experiences rate poorly compared to Tina. I drive 25+ miles every other week just to make sure my hair is cut and styled to my satisfaction. She just moved into this building and is located in suite #5. She comes with my highest recommendation. read more
