Tiffany asked me loads of questions and really took the time to understand my frustration with my hair. I requested just a trim and thinning out hair and received a curly girl cut at Tiffany's recommendation. I haven't felt this good about my hair since I actually buzzed it all off. My hair feels light and soft again. Tiffany even showed me how to "dry" my curls and take care of them. I'm super low maintenance, if it's more then a wash, I won't do it. I don't know much about hair so when I walk into a salon, I expect my stylist to be a PRO. I expect him or her to know what will look good on me and what will maintain the health of my hair as well as how I should maintain the style/what products I should use. Rosa did ALL that and MORE. I don't even know where to start about her besides saying: BOOK HER FOR ALL YOUR HAIR COLORING NEEDS. She is extremely patient and passionate about what she does- most importantly, she is honest. I had a terrible experience with my hair color by someone else at the same salon and Rosa fixed it. She diligently worked through each strand of my hair and basically held my hand through the whole process as I was traumatized by my previous experience. She stayed 3 hours past closing time to correct my color - on a Friday night! I cannot express how grateful I am for her. Also, the business owner- Cynthia, she knows her stuff and she knows how to run a business! I was extremely satisfied with her willingness to work with me and around my schedule to get me feeling fabulous again. She does not want anyone to walk out of her salon feeling anything less than gorgeous. Stumbled upon this salon's insta page when I found out I was moving to Dallas and creeped on it for months until it was time for me to give my hair some love. Got scheduled with ROXANNE for a haircut a few months ago that turned out perfect, so when restrictions lifted and they opened back up this summer, I made sure to book my color service with her too. She worked some dimensional ashy blonde magic into my black, brassy Asian hair in just one session, and my hair still feels soft and healthy! She asked for pictures of my goal hair and then replicated it exactly. Then when I was being my annoying and indecisive self and decided I wanted to warm it up a tiny bit, she was so understanding and kindly and quickly delivered again. On top of the amazing service, the salon has taken so many detailed steps to keep clients and themselves healthy (frequent sanitation, hand washing, clean robes, clean stations that were moved 6 ft apart, reduced capacity, temperature checks, etc.) I felt 100% safe being here, and more so than any other business I've had to step into during this time. Very customer service oriented salon with talented staff. They did a great job! Nitzia is super detailed and does a nice job. This salon doesn't appear to double book which you don't see often so it's not crazy chaos which was nice. Since I had a long appt (balayage and cut) I had my lunch delivered to eat while I was under heat and the staff was willing to grab it from the Uber driver and offered me plates and utensils, super nice. The skill set of my stylist was excellent and I'd go to her again. She did exactly as I needed and I really love my color. It's the perfect ashy color and blends so beautifully. She also thankfully did not cut off more hair than I asked to be cut off! What a relief. There were a few communication issues that they did clear up via text, so I'll keep this 5 stars but wanted to share for anyone new, it did take 5 hours when I was quoted for 3.5 and there was a confusion on price quoted for cut vs what I paid. The timing was tough bc I had a babysitter for my kids and rush hour to contend with. The overall cost seems to be on par for services but they have a way of pricing I haven't encountered before where you pay for the service and then on top of that a product fee which is color and toner. The product fee is confusing as a client. My product fee was $70 for reference for the toner / color and I paid $215 for partial. I think these costs are on par with services I've had elsewhere (including LA and OC) but just sharing this fee is confusing and I haven't encountered itemizing in this way so was confused. Due to COVID, they are very diligent with their scheduling and taking precautions while you are there. The app they use is very easy to use and allows you to check-in for your appointment, while waiting in the car. I got my hair done here on March 29th. The reason why I'm writing the review this late is because I wanted to see how my hair looked after a few weeks and it's still awesome!!! I got my hair done by a new stylist who's name is Helen. During my visit she was being assisted/watched by the salon owner Cynthia. I was there longer than we expected but that didn't matter to me because they were so much fun to hang out with!!! I told Helen what I wanted for my hair and she executed just that. My hair felt IMMEDIATELY healthier and smoother -I have been dying my hair blonde for the past two years at a healthy pace but it still took a toll on my hair. I came her excited looking to try something new. I had seen a lot of pictures from Marissa and thought she would be able to do the color I wanted since she had done some colors before. So I scheduled an appointment and made the $50 deposit. She did a sample just to see if the color would come out good and I liked the way the sample looked. She then wet my hair and then applied the dye (which I would assume the dye sticks better to dry hair..) I paid no attention to my hair but when she started to blow dry I was horrified.. My hair was no where near what I had wanted. It wasn't even a purple color. It was mostly grey with patches of tan, orange, blue, and purple.. She offered to redo it again but I had plans and did not have time to sit for another 2 hours and wait. I asked her what happened and she started blaming it on my hair, that my hair wasn't absorbing the color. My hair was BLONDE, I honestly could've done it at home and it would've turned out more purple... But in the end I didn't pay for it (cause it defiantly wasn't near what I wanted) and I didn't get my deposit back... So I paid $50 for someone to mess up my hair and have to pay someone else to fix it.. Yay me. A waste of time and totally unprofesional. Wife had an appointment at 11:00 am wednesday august 12th with Cynthia Valdez and we arrived promptly to take care of any paperwork or whatever was needed...then after waiting 40 minutes on this lady..finally the assistant or the lady at the front said that she might be a little late because of traffic...ok no.problem this was alreeady 30-40 min after the appointment should of.started...then she started asking how was my wife gonna get the hair cut..after explaining to the assistant she then tried to make her change her style to a more simple because Cynthia had an appoitment at 2pm and then she wasnt gonna have time to be on time for the 2pm appointment.. Anyways..they probably do a good job but little things like that playing with peoples time and actually money its unacceptable...we rearranged our work schedule to make it to the appointment. Marissa is awesome! She did a great job with my balayage. Marissa was detail oriented and asked questions to make sure my hair color came out the way I wanted. The blonde always looks yellow/orange because of my natural hair color but Marissa was able to achieve a beautiful cooler tone. My hair now has more dimension and does not feel damaged. Don't waste your time unless you want overprice, damaged color hair! My 3 hour appointment with SHAINA to add cooler ash tone blonde (refer to picture) to my existing balayage turned into 5 hour nightmare that they over-processed, damaged (colored my hair dark gray) and reverse back to my original balayage with orange streaks. During the visit, a customer called to schedule to fix her hair since she wasn't happy with it! The staff said "Cynthia completely booked and can't fix it for months" She proceeded to give her excuses and then after she hung up the phone, they complained about the customer! I should have Ran but Shaina was trying to take the gray out of my hair! I try to be navigate her what happened last year where they tone the wrong color yet she still turned my whole hair dark gray. I had to tell her again to highlight around the face because I don't think she knows what she clearly doing. She did not add the lighter blonde highlights instead She added orange blonde highlights. She stated I can add purple shampoo to help me achieve the blonder look I wanted. She then tries to charge me for the "foils and products " she used despite that she messed up and had to redo foils and toner to get the gray out. I felt bad for her since she tried her best to fix it but I told her that I shouldn't have to pay for her corrections. She lowered it down but I still paid over $300! She posted on her Instagram she achieve flawless blonde blend when I already came in a bayalage (that I had colored 2 weeks prior) that she did not do. I wanted to add some face framing ash blonde highlights before an event which I missed anyway because how long she took. she kept on complaining saying how hard Asian hair was. I have dyed my hair blonde for the last 15 years and never had A stylist completely off. I was afraid my hair was going to fall off. I felt bad we were the last people there and after 5 hours and I was just happy my hair went back to the previous color but it was not the lighter ash blonde I wanted. She kept on telling me to add purple shampoo. Also my family and toddler daughter had to wait the entire time while she was fixing this whole ordeal I had to miss my daughter's event and go on my international trip the next day with hair I was not satisfied with. I don't think the stylist know what they're clearly doing. She overcharged and she was shock that I told her I shouldn't have to pay for her mistakes. In the end She discounted a little bit but for me to pay over $300 for this service without my ash blonde highlights I wanted. I never had to pay this much for balayage even when I had long hair. This salon has been my DAY 1 for three years now. I waited such a long time to write this review because I wanted to make sure that I was 100% confident in this salon before I did. I can say with FULL confidence that this is the best hair salon I have ever come across, and don't plan on changing anytime soon. Even when I moved to Austin, I still came to Dallas just for this salon! I got a hair cut here for the first time three years ago after having damaged hair for years, and I loved my experience. BUT I sat in HELEN'S chair, and it was the BEST experience I've ever had. I've never had this much fun! Also, if you have the dime, I recommend getting the olapex added on, because my hair felt so healthy afterward! I am not kidding when I say that Helen's blow out lasted me almost a week, and I probably could have gone a little longer too! Helen had so much patience with me and my thin hair and cared about me and my experience. She was so FULLY invested in me and my hair. She answered all of my questions about hair care, which I appreciated. She is the most detail-oriented, trusting and determined stylist I've ever been to. I trust Helen more than I trust myself, honestly, she's got that magic hairstylist spark and touch!! Blush At Bishop Arts Salon: WOW! Brittany: EVEN GREATER WOW!! There truly aren't words to express how grateful I am to have found this beautiful, trendy salon, and Brittany. She claims she's not a life changer, but that's as far from the truth as it can get. Services: Balayage (Natural dark brown-nearly black to blonde) with a Brazilian Blowout (super frizzy curly to pin straight), and cut (was open to letting her make it healthy and trusted her judgement). Photos: Before & After Back story: I live in Austin and after months of research, I decided to do my extreme hair makeover in Dallas at Blush with Brittany. I've never really been one to get my hair done. I've had a few bad colors and my fair share of terrible cuts. I have long, thick, naturally curly, frizzy Latina hair. Needless to say, that not every stylist knows how to color or cut hair like mine, so when I find one that can, I stick with them until dire circumstances force us apart. This brings us to the almost present. I've been desperate for a drastic change over the past year and a half. I've researched salons in and out of state. I was trying to find someone who specializes in taking dark Latina hair (like mine) to blonde, without it looking cheap, or having it all melt off my head. I found a place out of state, but the timing wasn't right for when I wanted to take the plunge, so I kept searching. I found another stylist at Blush who instantly referred me to Brittany. Now we're in the preset. I was informed that I needed to send Brittany a message directly as all of the stylist at Blush are independent. She replied in a timely fashion, and she immediately suggested a consultation (which I will highly suggest in order to get the best results and understand the realistic expectations, and the general cost). The consultation went great and she was super polite. Brittany showed ample knowledge about not only hair in general, but my hair type specifically. She was informative and laid out the general guideline that my hair was going to be the determining factor in this whole scenario. She was very polite when letting me know that my hair goal was just that. A goal. But my hair could only do so much and remain healthy. Because I really like my hair, and I don't want it melting or breaking off because having hair in general is important, I decided to trust her. We set up our appointment. All I can really say is that Brittany is the most dedicated hair stylist I've ever known. We started our day at 10am and didn't finish until long after closing. (There was a lot of hair). She never once got tired, or frustrated. She's a hair stylist super hero. Now, I have the most perfect shade of blonde any girl could ever dream of. I also have the most pin straight, soft and shiny hair that I could ever dream of. Trust her judgement. She's the stylist. She won't let you leave looking anything less than perfect. Be 100% honest with the consultation (I had old box dye on my ends and she still took me on) if you want the best results. The salon is adorable. The neighborhood wasn't what I had expected, but once I was in the salon everything was fine. It's like another land in there. I've been here 3 times. This rating is for my last visit - a haircut by Shaina. I had pretty long hair and asked for a shoulder-length bob with no layers after I saw a cut she gave one of the other hairdressers. The other two times I've been here, I've gotten a cut and balayage both times by Monica (5 stars for her). And because I really liked this haircut on the girl, I went with Shaina. I have pretty fine hair so it's not difficult to manage. Long story short, I ended up with a CHIN LENGTH bob. She straightened it after she chopped off most of the length and I started to notice random long and jagged pieces everywhere. She cut most of them and then told me she was done. I had to redirect her and point out that my entire left side was a jagged mess at the bottom (which I did politely). I know that cuts can look different on each person, but length is length. On wednesday August 12th I had an appointment with Cynthia Valdez 11:00am.. I was looking forward to get a haircut, so I arrived 10 min prior the appointment. Then the girl who greeted me started asking me how i wanted to cut my hair...After waiting 40 minutes the girl who greeted me comes up to inform me that Cynthia was going to be late because she was stuck in traffic, so then she advised to maybe reschedule or switch my haircut to something more simple because Cynthia had an appointment at 2pm and she did not want to delay that appointment...what about my appointment? I understand there are circumstances that just happen but I rearranged my work schedule to be on time to my appointment and never was informed prior my arrival there was going to be delayed or maybe canceled. I dont doubt they do a good job, but playing with people's time and money it's just unacceptable. I definitely won't be returning. I trust her so much with my hair and she has literally gone above and beyond of what I thought was possible. And I wanted a different look. Sadly when I left I didn't like my results on my hair. My highlights were so ORANGE and I had a lot of chunky highlights and it didn't look like a balayage or what I wanted. AND MY HAIR WAS VIRGIN! Took my mom to this salon as a surprise given it had great reviews and I live in the area. My mom went in for a root touch up/highlights to her blonde hair. The stylist painted my mom's roots an egg plant color which in no way was anywhere close to her blondish roots. When asked to fixed, the stylist said no, that's how it's supposed to look. My mom was in tears and wore a bandana for 2 weeks until we could get fixed elsewhere. Luckily we received a refund but it cost 3 times as much to fix. Please be careful when going to this salon. I wish the outcome was better due to their proximity to us but unfortunately we will NEVER go back there. read more

This was my first time venturing outside of my usual hair salon after three mishaps at smaller salons around Dallas. I was incredibly hesitant, but I've been following Blush and Jessica on Instagram for awhile and decided to take the risk. It definitely paid off! Jessica was incredibly attentive to my concerns and how I wanted my hair cut and styled. She did an amazing job on my hair. I will definitely be returning to Blush. read more
