I was looking to order a few pizzas for a party we were having Sunday night; I drove to Sals but as I was about to pull into the parking lot, I noticed the employees shooting a BB gun in the parking lot at cans, etc. I even drove by again to make sure I was seeing it correctly; safe to say they were and I didn't pull in for fear of getting my car hit by these employees. Sal's used to be great! Not anymore. The meat in my chicken wings was tough. My husband's steak and cheese was awful. Cheese wasn't melted and meat was tough to chew. Not sure what's happening but not the same as they used to be. read more

Oh yeah. - When I was a kid, we would go out to lunch on half-days. I remember they were always on random Thursdays, and instead of going home, my brother and my cousin and I would go downtown and get pizza. It was my favorite. Thin crust, great sauce and cheese. The cornerstone of any good New England style pizza. - This place has it. It's exactly my style and reminds me of that same pizza from my childhood. Thin crust, great sauce and cheese. Flavorful. And BIG. A single slice is 1/4 of a pizza!!! When you order a slice, they'll cut it in two for you so it's easier to eat. So a single slice runs you close to 4 bucks, but it's worth it. Really it's 1.5 stars. Went up to Manchester for an overnight and my wife and I were in the mood for some pizza, found Sals pizza on line, it was close to where were staying. Ordered a large broccoli and mushroom pizza. The atmosphere is very nice with plenty of parking. I did takeout, brought the pizza back to the room. This had to be the WORST pizza I've ever had and I'm a big pizza lover. The broccoli was shaved stems and any florets were the size of M&M at best. There was a small smattering of mushrooms. Very little cheese and the sauce was terrible. The crust was edible, my wife hated it. All in all one of the worst pizzas I've ever had, (I'm 68). read more

This is by far the best Sals Pizza in New Hampshire! I have been ordering pizza from here for 10 years and it's always been great! The staff is always helpful and polite and always willing to please! I use to love Sal's pizza in Chelmsford, so when I moved up to Bedford, NH I was psyched to see one in Merrimack. I soon realized one Sals doesn't mean the same dining experience at another. We ordered a mushroom pizza with extra cheese and were told 20 minutes. I got there 20 minutes later as suggested and went up to the counter and the young lady said "Oh, they're just about to put it in the oven". So, the 20 minutes was to to carry the slip over from the phone to the guy making the pizza? So I wait another 15 minutes to get the pizza cooked and even though they knew that I was there (not too busy that night either) they delivered me a pizza that was burnt and dried out. They offered to make me another which would take another 15-20 minutes, but knowing I had a hungry family at home I declined. You know what I will decline? Really sad that after raving to family about how great sals is that they cheap out and make a shit ty Italian sub that no one would believe is made by an Italian pizzaria. Cheap ass terrible, and after ordering 60 worth of food we got shit. So bad and so sad for crappy sals merrimack, cheapo garbage for a high price. Crummy subway does it better. Give me jersey mikes anyday. Be true to the way an Italian sub should be made, if not for the winter weather and freezing rain I would send all this trash back in a heartbeat. Okay, i've been to the milford location (tastes like mudd flap with specail sauce). As for merrimack, what a huge differance! I had the specail. It was loaded, had a great taste, and for a thin crust it didn't taste like a paper bag. The crust had a nice light flavour to it and not greasy at all... Staff was pleasant, ample seating. Parking may be tricky at times due to other businesses. This place was a pleasant surprise over its other location. read more

I ordered a grilled chicken salad and that's pretty hard to mess up. This salad was all very tart tasting spinach with two small cherry tomatoes and shredded chicken like it was a sandwich. I now am starving eating off my child's plate. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!! read more

I've had Sal's Pizza delivery a few times in the past, but it was a world of difference eating it at the restaurant. It tasted so much better right out of the oven. As always, the slices are gigantic and the toppings flavorful. Service was also excellent. read more

Ordered one slice warmed up to go and waited 7 minutes while the employees gossiped. The girls with long hair only had it pulled into a ponytail with a headband so of course I also found a hair in my pizza. The food is good but they need far better employees. When I got my food there was no apology for the wait even though I was obviously anxious to leave (having been told 'a few minutes'.) I'll try going back once more on a different night with hopefully a better staff. read more

Owner is very friendly as well as the staff. They were good on time and pizza was delivered nice and warm. Great amount for the money! Slices are large portions. Could almost be cut smaller. But the dough is that good kind of soft crisp. Have yet to have food other than the pizza, but the pizza is recommended! read more

I've had a great run with the Sal's in Manchester but since moving to Merrimack, I'm extremely unimpressed. I've had several interactions with this location and all were extremely disappointing. Twice now I've called them to order pizza and it will just ring and ring and ring but no one will pick up. I try waiting and calling back, yet the same thing happens. The website has said "updated menu coming soon" for this location for almost a year now. The two times I did get delivery, it took over an hour and a half to get here. I think the reason they are so busy is because of the name, but frankly I can get the same quality pizza with much better service elsewhere. read more

Went there with my wife and kids and ordered some slices, but they burned them all. My sons slice of cheese pizza was so crisp that he held it between his thumb and forefinger and it didn't even bend a centimeter. The others weren't much better. They did apologize and offered to make more pizza, but we couldn't wait around. Half of our pizza went into the barrel. This was very disappointing considering there were 3 of them working behind the counter and the place was empty. I will continue driving to one of other pizza places on that road next time so I can go somewhere that the workers take a little bit of pride in what they serve people read more

Last night I ordered a large 1/2 pepperoni / 1/2 plain pizza with mozzarella sticks to pick up on my way home from work. When I arrived, the food was hot and ready, the store was super clean and the personal were very friendly and polite. Great environment. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the website will not allow you to order on-line for this location, but yet an individual is able to at other Sal's locations. Really not a huge deal but I often use the online option for other establishments for ahead of time ordering / convenience. Highly recommend this place though. read more

I always thought of Sal's as a backup plan pizzeria but since Lorie has been at Newburyport and today she happened to be at the Seabrook location, as long as she's making the pizza, I go there, she makes outstanding pizza, my kids are particular, they have raved over the pizza the last few times, always when Lorie is cooking, the crust is perfect, sauce and toppings balanced. I actually liked their pizza (they are soooo much better than the Sal's I tried in Nashua). However, I stopped going there because their prices for toppings were confusing. If you order mushroom or pepperoni..or onions,, it's one price for those toppings, but if you order meatball, sausage, and the like, it's another price. I placed an order and was told over the phone $14+ and when I went to pick it up, they charged me $18+ because the person who took the order didn't account for the different toppings prices...even THEY ARE CONFUSED when it comes to their prices. They consider certain toppings 1 topping and other toppings 2... so mushroom is priced as 1 topping but meatball is priced as a 2 topping...OH MY GAWD... unless someone comes back and tells me they changed how they price things, I refuse to go to a place where what you pay is a SURPRISE! read more
