Pizza was awesome, cheesesteak was great and service was excellent. We got our pizza to go but it was a welcoming place and we would return.

Wanted a good meal before all the cooking and eating for Thanksgiving and this place was the family's choice. So glad it was. Our pizza was super yummy. It was covered in pepperoni, love the no skimping on the toppings! The garlic cheese bread was devoured and the wings were a good side. We ordered delivery and got it almost exactly when they said. This was a very nice find. Absolutely love this place. It's definitely in a category of a "Dive bar". Staff is friendly and caring. Food was absolutely amazing. I had a Gyro and it was the best I've had in a while. I happen to be in the area and stumbled onto it. Definitely will put on my list of go back soon. I have lived in Nashua for over 30 years and I wanted to try a different pizza place in town, so I googled best pizza in Nashua and Kalo pizza and subs came up. I ordered 2 sausage, pepper and onion pizzas, a caesar salad and an antipasto salad. Everybody loved the pizza and the salads! This place did not disappoint!! We now have a new place to enjoy our takeout from. I'm so glad we gave this place a try! The order was ready when I got there, I received a friendly greeting by the owner and staff. Formerly Laundry 66, Kalo Pizza & Subs opened on Canal Street in Nashua, across the street from the BAE fenced parking lot. The place is very cozy & casual which is an order at the counter place with flatscreen menu boards and 4 tables for eating in.  For food, they offer traditional & specialty pizzas, pizza calzones, salads, hot & cold subs, wraps, Mexican wraps, pasta, wings, fried apps, dinners (steak tips, gyros,kabobs,  biryani, cheeseburgers, fried haddock, shrimp), baklava, whoopie pies, and Coke products in the cooler. The pricing seems reasonable. They offer online ordering. After seeing a Facebook post about Kalo, I decided to head here after work for dinner takeout. A photo of one of their pizzas was posted on FB, which was loaded well, but very greasy & oily as grease soaked through the pizza box. A belt oven is used to bake the pizzas. Since I already had pizza from another place on the previous night, I decided to order 2 dinners to go. I ordered the Fried Haddock ($15.99 plus tax) and the Chicken Cutlet over Spaghetti ($11.99 plus tax). My order was ready in about 20 minutes after ordering in person. The breaded fried haddock was a big long piece, tender and flaky, served over soft yellow rice pilaf and a side garden salad (romaine lettuce, ripe tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, kalamata olives and Italian dressing on the side). The breaded chicken cutlet was cut into a few pieces over a bed of soft thin spaghetti and smothered in a thick marinara sauce and oven baked. The garlic bread (sub roll sliced) was very firm and buttery. The food was very filling and I had leftovers for lunch. This pizza & sub shop just recently opened in Nashua and after seeing so many great reviews on Facebook and on Yelp my fiancé and I were eager to try it. We decided on Friday to order a late lunch here and we were pleased to see they had online ordering. In this day and age I feel like the is an essential convenience for your customers. My fiancé placed the order and he said their system was easy to use. However, neither the online system nor their actual menu had descriptions of any of the items except the pizzas. This makes it difficult to customize anything because you didn't know what comes on the sandwich or what made a sandwich titled "crazy" unique. Also their gallery section of their website appears to show only stock photos of different food items and not photos of actual food they prepared which is unhelpful. We picked up our order about 15-20 min after it was placed and we were happy to see that they had designated parking spots in the back of the building because parking along Canal St be pretty limited. My fiancé said that when he went inside to get our food the place was clean and the man behind the counter was extremely friendly. We got a Chicken Gyro, a 12 piece order of wings and a Small Kalo's Special pizza. The food was hot and very fresh when we unpacked it at home. However, the pizza is Greek style which I am typically not a fan of. However in the past there have been a few Greek style pizzas that I had which were decent so I was still optimistic. There were a ton of toppings on our pizza. Dare I say, too many actually? There were so many toppings you could barely see the cheese and the quantity of toppings make the crust and dough on the bottom really soft and doughy. I ate part of one slice and passed on the rest. My fiancé ate two slices and said I could throw the rest away if I didn't want it, which I did. When we unwrapped the chicken gyro we were surprised to see that it was a wrap. That probably seems like a strange thing for me to say but the chicken gyro was listed under "hot subs" and not "wraps" or a "gyros" section on the menu. So our assumption was that we were ordering the ingredients that would typically come on a chicken gyro but on a sub roll. This is where descriptions of the menu items would be super helpful to customers. Aside from that the flavor of the gyro was pretty decent and there was a good amount of chicken on the sandwich. The onions and tomatoes were diced instead of being sliced which made it harder to pick any off if they were unwanted but everything was very fresh and bonus, the lettuce hadn't turned soggy and gross. Lastly were the wings. They were large wings and extremely crispy. The flavor was reminiscent of the Kettle Wings that Market Basket once sold in their prepared food section. The owner was also very accommodating and provided buffalo sauce and blue cheese for them on the side which my fiancé used but I didn't feel were needed because the flavor of the wings was so good. The only negative was that we placed an order & paid for 12 wings but were only given 8. Since we had just had a very long and stressful day leading up to that point (which is why we were ordering takeout that day) we didn't feel like contacting the restaurant about it and instead just enjoyed the really good 8 wings they did give us. Overall if someone asked my opinion of this pizza/sub place I would tell them it's pretty good but just average. The quality of the ingredients was noticeable but the food itself (except the wings) was not a standout regarding variety offered or flavor amongst all the other pizza/sub shops in Nashua. All of that being said, we may give them another try to see how their salads, pasta or actual subs are and if they're exceptionally good I will definitely come back and update my review. read more

We've been living in Nashua for almost 5 years and we finally found our go to pizza place! My husband and I have lost count of how many places we've tried and been disappointed with. We got a cheese pizza and a pepper onion mushroom pizza and both were amazing! Their pizzas a huge and not ridiculously overpriced. My boyfriend and I were craving pasta one night and decided to see what was around. I had noticed that there was a new pizza place, less than a half mile from our house and wanted to give it a try! I got the Ziti with Sausage, my boyfriend got the Ziti Shrimp Alfredo. We also both got an order of fried dough. When my boyfriend went to pick up the order he arrived a little early since we live so close. He told me about how he was talking to the owner as he waited- they make everything fresh there. Never leave food overnight to serve the day after. So, if there's a little bit of a longer wait, that's why- and it's worth it! The owner was so kind to him, and even gave us an ENTIRE large pizza box filled with fried dough since they happened to make extra. When we unpacked our food to eat, we noticed how big our portions of pasta were. My boyfriend commented on how large the shrimp were, too. They weren't those tiny ones you commonly see. For the price, it's an amazing deal. The pasta literally fed us for days. We had more than enough fried dough to share with our roommates as well. We will definitely be returning customers, and I'm very excited to try the rest of the menu! read more

Very very good pizza. The sauce is tangy and sweet. I like a lot of cheese on my pizza so the Greek style works for me. The ONLY reason this is a 4 and not a 5 is because we like our pizza crispy on the crust. I always have my cast iron pan going when we bring stuff home to heat and crisp it up which we did for this and it was outstanding. Will definitely go back. Thanks guys. read more

Worst food service ever!!! . On May 3rd 2024, I made the mistake of ordering from Kalo Pizza & Subs. It's my first time in New Hampshire so I wanted to try the local food. I called the shop @ 10:50 pm. I initially ordered a large half & half pizza. The owner said they no longer have large pizzas but they have smalls. I said okay and ordered 2 small pizzas, wings, fries, 2 small drinks. He never gave me a total price. I also told him my address multiple times so I thought he understood it. I even spelled it out and he said he got it. The owner said it'll be a hour wait. It was Friday night so we expected it to be a bit of a wait. I didn't see it as an issue. 50 mins passed so I called to double check. The owner said that the delivery driver is on her way. 10 mins pass and I finally get a call. The driver called to tell me that she was at the wrong address so I gave her the correct address, again. She said she's 3 mins away. 7 mins later, she pulls up with the food and the bill. The bill was $70 total for only 2 small pizzas, wings, fries, two small drinks. We called to dispute it because it wasn't making sense. The owner added everything up otp and included hell of tax. He also said that there's a $7 delivery driver fee. (This was his first time ever informing me of that. Also, I didn't order through a delivery app. I called the store directly). Next, after about 7 mins of us disputing with the owner otp and him having the delivery driver hand calculate the new bill, the owner realized that he gave me a 3rd drink that I didn't order. I eventually got tired of standing outside of my hotel freezing while disputing a wrong bill. The owner charged me the $70 and gave me a $9 refund ($9 refund was very random). I left feeling highly pissed off. (As I walked upstairs with the food, it reeked of nicotine. The pizza looked greasy and very disgusting. The wings were hard and burned. Even my sprite was expired. (How do you mess up a packaged bottled drink? ‍ ). The fries were cold and unappetizing. I lost my appetite upon opening the box. My girlfriend said she took a bite and couldn't finish 1/4th of the food. We decided to starve and just go to sleep. Horrible experience and over priced food! Avoid Kalos!!!! read more

Last night I got Kalo Pizza for the first time. I had used the online service to place my order. Originally I wanted a 3 topping pizza, but the sub total did not reach the $20 minimum. I wanted to have it delivered, but then there was a $4 up charge for this and it did not count towards the $20 minimum. This was a little frustrating so I went ahead and ordered a Meat Lovers Pizza. The Pizza was good and a fair reputation of most pizza joints in the area. The ambiance of the place was that of a typical independent owned pizza shop. Not a ton of seating and the seating was not very inviting. I did try to call and place my order, but I got a busy signal each time I called. Next time that I order I will not pay on-line and see if that avoids the area of most frustration. read more

My husband and I have been very impressed by this new pizza place. The only disappointing thing I've discovered, is that we only live a few blocks away but the delivery online says it wont deliver to our zip code. I was hoping to order for work, but too much to call in. I hope they can take a look at that and get it fixed, as we had to call to have it delivered to our house as well, which is the same area. The food and service are fantastic. The cold and hot subs as well as the pizza. Hoping to try even more! Would like to know what the specialty subs consist of, as it doesn't say online what they're made with. Also, can't order a chicken finger sub on the order menu. Hopefully, they add one soon.
