I'm a huge fan of Paisano's. Their ordering with the Masa+ app is easy to use and eliminates any confusion when ordering over the phone. We usually get chicken wings plain and buffalo which are always crispy and delicious. You can order them well done in the shop which is awesome. I hate under-cooked chicken wings that don't have that crunch. We have had a number of pies from the CBR, Hawaiian, as well as BYO, and Gluten Free options are all excellent. Again the Masa+ app I think helps out as I can order some pies with light sauce, extra well done etc. The pies are always cooked perfect and we enjoy them quite a bit. I wrote a review for Paisanos a few years back and I'm here to update. I was originally going to give them 4 stars but after my order two days ago it's back down to 3. Let me start off by saying that the pizza has much improved, I would give that a solid 4 stars easily. We got a large pie with extra cheese and roni and it was cooked perfectly and had ample amounts of roni. My salad on the other hand left much to be desired, it was pretty bad. I opted for the chicken tender salad, the tenders were cut up into bit sized pieces which I thought odd, maybe to try and mask the fact that they are frozen. I also barely got any chicken, not that it mattered since it was AWFUL. The chicken on a scale of 1-5 would be a solid 1. It's so strange because just a week before I got the grilled chicken salad and it was great! Plenty of chicken and everything seemed fresh. The side order of fries were borderline over cooked. Like super dark in on the ends, but not terrible. I would NEVER EVER get chicken tenders from there again. read more

We ordered garlic knots and cinnamon knots which were delicious! But the pizzas seemed to be Greek style pizza(look at the crust) and it lacked flavor. The margarita pizza was bland and the mozzarella was cut too thick. The white pizza didn't have the white sauce and was basically cheese bread and extremely greasy(I opened box and it literally had a pool of grease in box & on top of pizza.) If I know their recipe changed from the pics, I wouldn't have ordered (we don't like the Greek style pizzas). The service was good, got delivery and despite them forgetting my soda they came back with it(couldn't give refund since it was an online order). They are not cheap, but they are arguably the best pizza, calzone, and chicken wings in Derry NH. The wings are excellent and perfect every time, BUT my favorite thing to order is their chicken parm calzone with ricotta/onions added because it is incredible. Service wise they are as good as anyone around, and never messed up any of my orders or those of my co workers. read more

I stopped for dinner takeout at Paisano's Pizzeria (formerly Smoke & Spice BBQ), located on the Derry Traffic Circle, parking along Route 102. This pizza place opens at 4PM daily and is very hard to miss since the word PIZZA is spelled out in big letters on the building. The inside is very cozy with an order counter/kitchen, Pepsi drink cooler, and 3 tables for eating in. They also do delivery for $2. The menu is pretty straightforward offering 12" and 16" pizzas, calzones, salads, wings, appetizers, chips, and cold cooler drinks. The sausage pizza was very good, which had lots of ground Italian sausage, cheese, and a good tomato sauce. The pizza crust had a nice crisp on the outside, baked with ground flour on the bottom, soft and chewy inside. The crust was thin towards the center and thicker along the edges. I was very hungry and I finished the very tasty pizza by myself in one sitting. Overall, a high quality pizza at a good price! I've been ordering there for at least 10 months. I switched from Sal's Pizza. They make better pizza. It's just that I never noticed until today they must be scrimping. On a 12" deluxe pizza I got 10 pieces of pepperoni. It is a small complaint because I only go there 2X a month. I would give it a higher rating but it has sank and I'm not a 2 pizza deluxe per month orderer that matters. read more

We did order another chicken parm calzone (not with the owner's offer for free, I don't review looking for or receiving free food but thank you, your offer was very generous). We were pleasantly pleased that it was chicken breast not chopped up so thank you for trying our way. But it was confirmed it's some kind of frozen chicken fillets or tenders like Tyson or Walmart brand vs. fresh chicken cutlets. Anyone know the texture of frozen breading that slides off the chicken? For $14, you can use real chicken (please). I changed my review from a 1 Star to 3 Stars as I truly want to support this business vs. any chains in town. I ordered wings and a small pizza at 6:00 pm. Email from them said I would have it around 6:50 pm. Almost 7:20 pm it arrived, wings and pizza ice cold! Now I have to heat up the oven to make the food warm. Stay away from this place folks unless you pick it up. Update- Was called by the manager who made this right and apologized. At some point I will try them again. I have lived here 20 years and this is my second time ordering from them. First time a long time ago did not impress but service was good. Not a bad option for food. I've had pizza here before and it was good. We got a calzone this time, chicken cutlet with sauce and cheese. And Cajun fries. The fries were a bit over cooked. The calzone was good but not the best chicken parm I've had. The cutlet itself could have more flavor and seemed like a little soggy/breaded not like yummy crunchy. Dunking into their marinara sauce helped tho. It's got a little pepper kick. I was starving so it went down quick. By the time I was full, I'm usually eating whatever's still in front of me if it's "that good" but I didn't want anymore of this because it was just average eats. Overall not bad, but think I would try a different type of calzone next time. I mean I am Italian and make my own breaded cutlets so my standard is maybe a bit higher. I've been a long time paisanos customer love there pizza and their sides recently I had to go through a bone marrow transplant and got the OK to finally have pizza again very excited. I called Piasinos and ordered a pizza. I have a special request that pizza can't sit around so if they could tell me how long it will exactly take so I could pick it up right when it comes out of the oven. The owner is very nice. Calzones are off the hook! I order pepperoni and PINEAPPLE because it's like crack and once you have it you'll never do a ham and pineapple again! Wife loves the more traditional calzone and they are all to die for. Now they did deliver one soggy pizza to us one time but we let that go, maybe thinking it was a one off. We shall see. Decided to try this place because there aren't too many delivery options in the area. Unfortunately I can't say I'm a fan of their pizza. I ordered a regular old pepperoni pizza, which had so much sauce the pizza was actually soggy in the middle, which was very disappointing. My husband got a steak and cheese calzone which was actually pretty good, even when reheated in the oven the next day. I have a feeling the non-pizza options may be better, so in the chance we do order from here again I'll probably opt for a salad. Aside from the calzone, the other pros would have to be their online ordering system, which is very convenient, and the prompt delivery time. read more

I always like a local joint but I can't convince myself to like Paisano's. The food here is...ok, and I think that is a good place to start. The dough they used doesn't taste particularly developed as if it was made fresh that day or at least without enough time for the yeast to impart flavor. It also lacks any good chew from a well kneaded dough and reminds me of a very basic white bread. The sauce and cheese are just so-so in that they're not bad but it is definitely not "great" either. The sauce for example tastes underseasoned and seems runny, and the cheese they use doesn't seem to have a high enough moisture or fat content as it congeals far too quickly at lower temps (chewy too). Also, any time I ordered a pepperoni or meat pizza, the grease would almost always seep well through the pizza and even pool at times. The problem with this is one of two things: either the dough is pulled too thin or not developed enough to "hold" the grease, or the toppings are too greasy to begin with. Other folks seem to have the same issue according to the reviews. I am not marring the execution of the food they make as it tastes (again) ok, it looks well prepared, and it does taste like brick oven cooked food. The issue I have is that for what is available in the area and for the cost, for just ok quality food it doesn't seem worth it. If the quality of the ingredients used in pizza were better I could justify the higher costs like at 900 Degrees (Manchester), but over $40 (with tax) for just "ok" 3 large cheese pizzas is not good to me. I could get that from Domino's for less than half that or even Papa Gino's or Sal's (with coupon). On a that note, I should mention that the very first time I called in years ago I ended up speaking to a manager or owner about specials; his response in a very annoyed voice was "we don't have any specials or discounts." I get that he has probably heard it a million times from other people but that is not something to take out on me as a first time customer. Also, for someone to get so annoyed about a discount makes me think they feel their food is unworthy of a discount and that everyone should pay full price. The hubris involved in thinking that is ridiculous unless you are a Michelin Star (even then I would take that with a grain of salt) restaurant, which they certainly are not but rather just a local pizza joint. In summary this review covers their services like delivery and staff (4 stars) whom have been largely friendly, and the overall food quality especially when considering other options in the area (2 stars), and value for the cost (1 stars). I am disappointed because I prefer to support local places and non-corp chains, but it is what it is. read more
