Apparently I didn't order the pizza correctly online to the discount's super specific method. I asked for $5 off while waving my online printed order of $26. Despite offering a discount for dine in, this is not a restaurant for dine in. The current management seems too cheap for air conditioning, this on a day when the temperature was over 90. I was extremely disappointed by the quality of the food I received last night. The Italian platter had stuffed shells with under done pasta. I like al dente but it was much closer to raw. The sauce was extremely tart where either the red wine or red wine vinegar hadn't been cooked out. The "roasted chicken" manicotti was a paste of chicken with too many scallions and was disgusting. I didn't eat it. The garlic bread was tough and cold. The lamb gyro SUB was in fact a gyro (not a sub) and was dripping with too much tzatziki sauce. So I'm staying in a hotel about 2.2 miles away. I order thru Yelp, with delivery coming from Grubhub. First off, let me say I'm not a fan of Grubhub. I dont get an order number via email, and the order is never right, late (like 30 min or more), and when I text someone at Grubhub, I get nowhere with getting a question answered. My order finally comes, but it's the wrong pizza, missing almost everything, no Greek salad, but my pasta with tomato sauce and a side salad was there. I called the business, the boss made it right, and personally delivered the pizza and salad. And I have to say, that second pizza was AWESOME! And I thank him for bringing the pizza himself. No no no, this is not the pizza I want. I had two slices, one cheese and one sausage. The crust had a nice flavor and was crispy all the way through. I can't praise much else. There was way too little sauce. The pizza had that salty flavor that I would get at Sbarro's. And the sausage was little tiny gray crumbles. I couldn't bite into it or taste any seasoning. I didn't try their cheesesteak, but I give them credit for having Amoroso rolls from Philly. But come on guys, everyone knows that real cheesesteak never had mayonnaise on it and it certainly doesn't automatically come on it. One other credit, Carly at the counter was really sweet. We ordered through grub hub tonight... I kid you not, our order took almost TWO HOURS!!!! To get to our house! I called and asked and the lady said it would be to our house in five minutes, it took 20 more minutes! And they gave me a "20% discount for next visit!".... I said no I'd rather have a refund, so he says he's calling grub hub and going to get us 20% refund. I have never experienced anything like this. Perhaps not to the super authentic level of the now closed Luigis but certainly a tier or two above most other places in the area. My food was hot and the quality/taste was good to very good. You would be surpirsed and how many places cannot do both of those things these days! Only gripe was I wish the sauce for the pizza had a tad more flavor/spice but the cheese and crust was spot on. Saw this pizzeria while passing thru the area. We decided to give it a try. The pizzas are good here. The salads are delicious but the downside is the spaghetti and meat sauce didn't have enough sauce in it. The pasta was stuck together.
