i went to premium ER in Woodway after i had fell and all of my weight,…read morelanded on my left ribcage i hurt so bad i could barely breath. at Premium ER the doctor told me they wanted to do a CATSCAN instead of just an exray as the cat scan was more reliable. he advised me that there were no breaks and that it would be sore for awhile. 2 days later i was back at My Primary Care doctor. HE TOOK AN EXRAY. I HAD 3 BROKEN RIBS. i could see them plainly on the xray. they are lucky i didnt have 4 i would have had to have them wired . to hold them in place. other than a head injury for broken bones. an Xray will almost always be good enough most to see broken bones Xray. This was the second time i had had a cat scan at this facility that was read wrong. while their care friendlyness and general medical knoledge is good . at lease one maybe 2 doctors their needs alot more training on a Cat scan machine. I have to virtually just about be dead to go to the doctor, due to prior experience with other health care individuals. I had the honor of being Dr. Matt Burge's patient and I have nothing but praise for him and his staff. He diagnosed me quickly and took the necessary steps to set my healing in motion. I felt awful, had a 102° fever and full body pain. They didn't do any of the testing I wanted and insisted it was something completely unrelated, completely invalidated all of my other feelings, and made me out to feel stupid. At the end of the night all they offered me was a shot for pain after doing zero other screening. Thank god it wasn't something more serious, because they wouldn't have cared.

During the birth, I was supported by Kristi along with Stephanie, and together they were an incredible team. There were a couple of unexpected moments during labor that I didn't even notice at the time because of how calm, steady, and confident they were. My trust in them allowed me to stay present and at ease, knowing everything was being handled with care and expertise. This being my first birth, one thing that meant a great deal to both me and my husband was how thoughtfully they supported him as well. He was an incredible source of support throughout labor, and when things became more intense for me, Kristi and Stephanie offered him gentle guidance and helpful pointers so he could support me even more effectively. That level of inclusion made the experience even more meaningful for both of us. While my birth didn't go 100% as planned--because what birth ever does?--it was perfect in every way. Our baby arrived healthy, was immediately and beautifully cared for, and is the most perfect little girl. This was truly the greatest experience of my life, and I am so incredibly grateful to have found these midwives. We met with a few different practices, but every single part of us knew that East Gate Birth and Wellness was the right choice for us because of Kristi and Stephanie.
