Usually very good ( the chicken fried chicken my fav). went there for breakfast today(7/21) and one server was in the back working but the other one was standing talking to some men about strip clubs and other topics while I waited to even be acknowledged and that was by the other girl. The owner was sitting there while she just continued to talk and so much bad language going on, even by the owner. Then that same girl dropped dishes and cussed. I asked the owner to tell them in the back to make it to go because I didn't like the atmosphere. I told the other girl I'm going to church soon and don't want to hear all that. We keep trying to buy from this local business. They seem to always fall short in some way. The hamburger steak and gravy was tasty. But the grilled veggies were so over seasoned with a salty seasoning that they were inedible. The steak fries were also coated in salt so that all I really could eat was the meat. I wish they could get it together because I think there is potential there and this small community needs some choices for dining out. read more

Went there and didn't have high expectations. We had went to two other restaurants that were closed. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken and my wife got Blackened Salmon. Cute little restaurant. Not a huge menu but what they do serve is very good. They do little events like trivia and live bands. Very unique, fun decor. We've always been able to sit down immediately. NOT a fan. I've been a total of five times, and four of those times the owner managed to annoy the **** out of me, and the fifth time it was the inattentive server who was annoying. I've NEVER received decent food here. Ever. I think with this spot, as well as other eateries in the area, locals just have NO IDEA what good food is, so four and five stars are the norm for sub-standard fare. Everything I've ever had here could be purchased up the road at the grocery store and heated up in your own home, for much less money. Maybe someday this area will have enough population to support an actual restaurant that can afford an actual culinarily-TRAINED chef. So my party and I decided to split and just order extra sides. 03/2/2024 Arrived at 5 pm tables were mostly reserved due to having a band. They waitress talked to owners wife about a 6 top table that was reserved she told her to seat us there. The owner came over while we eating our appetizer had a attitude said this table is reserved for the band I responded your waitress set us here. He began ranting who was it he found out his wife had told her to seat us their and he moved us to another table that came opened he said I fired that person . Very unprofessional I get it is his business and it's privately owned but you don't treat your guest like that. When he came by and picked our card with the check my daughter said you have a great attitude he said were you being sarcastic she said yes he said something under his breath and walked away . Attended a wedding in White Bluff that served popcorn and lemonade, needless to say we were starving. I remember passing this place, checked out the menu online and suggested it to my hangry husband. When we arrived it wasn't crowded so we figured our growling stomachs wouldn't have to wait to be fed, wrong. Our food took so long I had to break out a pack of almonds I had in my purse. People started filling up the place and everyone entering seemed to know someone in the restaurant, obviously a local diner we had happened into. A couple that came in after us ate and left before our food came and after a refill of water. I was perplexed, we ordered a quesadilla,chili and a grilled cheese. After 40 minutes of waiting our food arrived. The chili was tasty,when I asked though the waitress did not know if it was homemade or canned. The cheese was lost in the bread (suggestion, add another piece of cheese) it was hard to see or taste. My husband was satisfied with his quesadilla, it was average but it took care of the hunger pains. The waitress was friendly, she kept coming back to see how we were doing during our long stretch of waiting for our food. I would snicker cause there were a whole lot of sarcastic answers I had, but she was doing a great job of making us feel relevant since we were not locals. Finishing up our meals we recognized another party coming in from the wedding and another couple. This place was going to be busy tonight if the reception ended up here. With the reasonable prices this place could have catered the reception. For what we received and the prices it was a 4 star. Service was 4 1/2 stars, safety 1. No masks were worn by employees and spacing was not obvious. Doesn't look like condiments at the tables are wiped down after each seating is completed. Now the wait for our food I won't put on the waitress, that was an epic fail and a negative 1. Comfy ambience. The booths are really low so if you aren't tall, it's awkward. The service was friendly and fast. The menu is small but food is good for bar type grub. My burger was cooked perfectly, juicy and wasn't too greasy. The toppings could use a little improvement in quality. Onion rings and steak fries are great and a large portion. showed up for the country music show this Friday evening. WORST event I have ever attended. When we arrived we tried to get a table for 6. We saw a booth for 4! We asked and begged to add a chair or two. we were told that we couldn't add chairs or tables to any other seating messes up the waiteress. That was all good. They put up a plastic nasty table for the 6 of us. That was fine also. I even got up and got menus for all of us and let a waitress know we were there. Then another person that had been saving seats all over the place ,she was running around telling everyone she was saving seats she would through purse or sweater inthe seat. Non of the management said a word to her about this. She took a booth added a table and chairs to it. When I asked the management about the situation I was told if I don't like it I could leave. So 6 good paying customers left and WILL NOT be back because of this!!! The wait staff is excellent and had nothing to do with this. It is the owner or manager that is working the sound system that did this. The worst mangement that I have ever seen!!! The band can thank management for not getting any kind of scouting people in this place!!!!! When you are rude to your customers you never win!!!!!!!! Do not waste your time. I wish I could rate 0 stars. We arrived for our first time here around 6:45 tonight and now we are home eating our food at 8:30 after we finally said that we would just take it to go. The restaurant was kind of busy (still open tables, bar had open seats). We ordered a chicken Alfredo and a patty melt. We waited and waited. Finally, I look and it has been over an hour. People before us already came, ate, and left. I finally asked our server about the food. She comes back, apologizes and says 5 minutes. We look over to the weird "chef window", and he puts up his hands and mouths 5 minutes. Then he proceeds to "pretend" he is picking his nose. Then he looks at the server who sees him, and gives her the finger. Now we are pretty angry. They bring the food about 10 minutes later. I ask if we can just have it to go since we have waited so long. Then the "chef" proceeds to come out and sit near us saying, "well one of those meals you might like. Fridays are deadly". Infuriating. What I tasted of my food through my blinded anger wasn't too bad. I of course inspected it first to make sure there wasn't something in our food. Sooo- don't ever waste your time trying this place. I have never been so insulted. I did leave a tip because the servers were sort of trying, and I have worked in the restaurant business. Best breakfast in White Bluff!! They got it goin' on!!! The omelettes are made full, not skimpy. Grits were spot on! Not runny or thick like paste but perfect! Home Fries.... not everyone knows how to cook em' right, they do! "Crispy" on the outside and soft in the middle. The pancakes... a nice crisp outside and fluffy on the inside. Has all the great service and hospitality of a locally owned restaurant you'd expect to get in the South. The thing is, it's just really not that good. The food is food.
