But, there's only one 4 lanes lap pool so I have no idea why they had to "rest/close" the pool from 1-4pm weekdays. In both MN & PA, lap pool is opened all day 5:15am-8pm weekdays. If lap pool was used for swim team or life guard training, they'd open the kid's pool for lap swim. In Philly, there is one pool with no kids' pool. So certain hours, 2-3 lanes of pool are reserved for kids lesson/ fam swim, leaving 2 lanes for lap swim. But the pool is in use fr 5:15 till closing at 8 weekdays or 6/ 4pm weekends, except for Friday 2.5 hrs of pool cleaning. They tried to maximize the pool's usage to benefit members. Why such a waste of resources here in Avon, IN? I saw that the staff were just hanging out, doing nothing near the pool while members were not allowed 1-4pm to use the pool nor the sauna. It would be the best time for some ppl to swim/sauna in these 3 wasted hours. I hope that the management of Hendricks Y will reconsider their pool hours and not waste such a wonderful resource for its community. I will upgrade this to a 5 star if this is changed for the better (or even 6; ).

I am only a basic member, so I can't vouch for the extra features like the pool and the sauna and the other classes. I go mainly for the weightlifting equipment and the open spaces. I like how there are two fitness greens in the gym which both offer plenty of room to exercise. The variety of weightlifting equipment is also pretty good, with a lot of different machines and cable stacks. The free weights are also pretty well stocked. My favorite area is the Olympic weightlifting area, which has four platforms and six squat racks which also have platforms. This area has a lot of mirrors so it's easy to keep your form in check. I have never used any of the class spaces but they all look really well kept from what I can see. They even recently updated one of their studios for weightlifting classes! I've been going there so you know I'll be back again!

Never have trouble finding one. I haven't used the weights much but in the morning there always seems to be enough. I really joined for the pool. It's always almost empty from 5-7 am and it is just really nice to be able to swim in a clean pool. I wear goggles, would highly recommend them. Hot tub is a plus as are the steam room and sauna. My fave part is using the massage chairs after my workouts. I pay 25 a month for everything. The lower membership doesn't have pool included. Fair price for what I use the gym for. Clean place, good music and good people.

Today, I joined my sis-in-law for her girl's day spa outing! She wanted to do something different…read morefor her birthday this year so she invited a group of ladies to join her at Elite Hands Body & Spa for a midday escape. We had a reservation scheduled at 2:00 PM and the majority of our party arrived on time. The hostess , who I believe is the business owner, was prepared for our arrival, and greeted us by showing us where to hang our coats and items in order to leave baggage and prepare for a 40 minute escape and time of relaxation. After hanging our items up, we were directed into a lounge type space, that had a charcuterie board/snacks, mimosa fixings, and complimentary cocktail glasses for each guests to enjoy and take as a souvenir after our experience. Our hostess, confirmed the type of escapes that we each booked ahead of time and then offered us either an orange mimosa or watermelon to get the party started. They played a nice music mix and offered to change it to what the birthday girl wanted to listen too if she would like. Then we were to told to mingle while our escapes were being prepared for us. Our party was then given either a satin robe to change into (if they selected the Yoni Steam service, or individually we were taken in our massage rooms if we selected a full body massage, facial Steam, there were also Sauna steams, and Facials available for this Girlfriends Escape experience. Each guest selected two services to get done, as all guests were to experience their escapes at the same time that would last roughly 40 minutes each. I was directed into a massage room with massage tech, Lanetia and this would be my very first time getting a full body massage. Lanetia, was extremely nice and calm, she was professional and I could tell she had experience. I was slightly nervous, not because I had to full undress (minus my panties) but because I have some pathology in my lower back from my old line of work. And so it causes nerve pain into my feet and I just get nervous when someone is pressing or stretching my nerves and muscles. I had nothing to worry about, I knew when she was hitting on my trigger points, and she knew when to remind me to relax whenever I would tense up. Soft music is played and you truly feel like your mind, body, and soul are being taken on this therapeutic journey. I was also booked to get the facial Steam, but due to my personal time I ended up not getting that done and leaving around 4:00 PM to go handle other things I had to do. Once my escape was over with I was directed to the lovely, bohemian bathroom which was my favorite aesthetic in the entire place. Pretty yellows, and serenity surrounded this space, and it's very instagrammable if you are into that. Total photo op! As some of us headed out earlier together, we were told to grab a goodie bag (which consisted of fuzzy socks, charcoal massage gloves, and spearmint gum), and then to pay for our services. They take credit card and cash app I think. My massage was $50 but I left a nice tip out of appreciation. This is a great experience to book for your next birthday gathering, a bridal shower, or just to get away if you need some me-time.
