This was my first ever barre class I've taken, and wow - what a workout. I'm three months postpartum, and the classes offered provide the perfect workout and challenge for me, as modifications are also provided. The studio is clean and inviting. Not only did the workout catch my eye after several classes, but the owner Melissa is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable to barre. I appreciate how all the instructors at Sweat + Soul are friendly and encouraging. The instructors help guide you throughout class and make friendly corrections to optimize your positions so you can get the best workout possible. Highly recommended this studio to everyone!

It is a total body workout which includes brief stretching before transitioning to the next muscle group. I love how Sweat+Soul barre really targets the smaller muscles to help me feel strong and toned. I can attest that the workouts WILL stay challenging, even after working out here several times per week for years. Instead of getting "easier" with time, your form will slowly improve (which I think also helps to improve your posture!). If it's starting to feel easy, you're not properly engaging your muscles :) The teachers and the owner are all so friendly and know how to kick your ass in the best way. I also love how CLEAN it feels in the studio. Pretty much all other fitness studios I've tried out feel noticeably grosser compared to here. (I can understand that it's also probably due to the nature of the workout for other studios though.) The studio recently moved to Ward Village Center (Genki sushi, Kids City, etc.), on the side of the structure where Roger Dunn Golf is located. This new location doesn't have a water refill station yet, so be sure to fill up your flask before heading here.

I took a classic class on a Friday evening and an empower class the following morning. I got in a good workout and felt like a local when another client asked me where I got my sneakers from. There is parking on the upper level of the mall adjacent to the studio.

Fresh Review Alert - This Place Deserves It!…read more I've been going to Firm Pilates for almost a year now, and I can confidently say it's exactly what I needed for my lifestyle. After visiting my family in Thailand, I took private Pilates classes to improve my form and strengthen my body--because let's face it, I'm not getting any younger! When I returned home, I wanted to find a studio that offered quality instruction at an affordable price. After searching online, I stumbled across Firm Pilates, and I'm so glad I did. From my very first visit, Lauren was incredibly helpful. She guided me through the basics, making the class both enjoyable and educational. Now, I see her every week, and she continues to help me refine my form and build strength. Lauren is a great instructor--she not only makes the sessions fun but also focuses on targeting areas that need more improvement. She even provides tips and techniques I can practice at home, which has been a game changer. I still have a long way to go, but I can feel myself improving with each session. :)

I started by running around Ala Moana Park and I quickly discovered that there is now an L&L BBQ in the park. Although I have now abandoned my effort to run the marathon, I have obtained enough L&L "frequent visitor" points to earn a free plate lunch!
