The boat took us right past Pond LIght. So nice. the weather, stunning!! Once there, you have about 2 1/2 hours of hanging out. The island has 3 miles of trails, some are steep and have many diverse features, from rocks,to forests to sandy shores. There is a gift shop and we got to go up in the tower of the lighthouse which boasts a first order fresnel lens. Awesome. There are lighthouse keepers present and they give a history of the island. The tallest lighthouse in Maine and the second oldest. They are only open in the summer months so contact Ethan, the boat captain and sail your way to beauty.
