Belair Rd has an actual drive thru that you can order from versus the Grovetown area which doesn't. Either way service is fast. When I want to treat my coworkers or students, I put in an order of their assorted donuts. Getting a dozen of these is always a favorite for the office to munch/chomp on. The flavors are chocolate, blueberry, red velvet, and original batter in the dozen. **Recommendation** If you are ordering more than a dozen, as I have done in the past a few times (5 dozen), please call the day before and provide the time you will pick up the donuts. It makes it easier for them to be prepared for your arrival with your order, and provide it to you nice and hot/warm to serve as soon as you get to work. The owner wrote back and ask if I had this flavor at The Armadillo in South Dakota. I had, but had never seen it anywhere else. I was so excited when I got a message saying they were churning Strawberry Butter today and asking me to come taste it and let them know if it they got it right. We stopped by this evening to try it and to my delight, they got it absolutely right! The sweet girls who waited on us said they had been waiting all day for me to come by and gave me the container to enjoy at home. My grandson ordered a Reeses sundae which he proclaimed "better than DQ". My friend Sally from Vermont who loves "a softee" got a vanilla cone and said it may be the best frozen custard she's ever had! The shop is bright and clean. They have walk up window and cute play ice cream parlor for the littles to practice becoming future ice cream makers. Please go by the Meadows and try their delicious frozen custards, gelatos, and Italian ices. They also have some cafe items and are adding nachos to the menu. Disappointing. All 3 recent pints we have bought were not filled well. They are scooped into and not pressed to remove air. Due to this, ice crystallizes on the scoops of custard, and we get a decent amount less than we used to. This has not been a one-off experience, and had never happened up until recently. (The custard used to be packaged like a standard ice cream tub; you take off the top lid and the contents are all level at the top of the container.) Due to this combination of negatives; even on flavors that we enjoy, we don't get as much as we hoped we would and they get covered in ice (this happened to our quart of Georgia Peach). If the special flavors of the day that have mix-ins get a better amount of mix-ins and if the containers start to be filled better again we will be going more often.
