The owner wrote back and ask if I had this flavor at The Armadillo in South Dakota. I had, but had never seen it anywhere else. I was so excited when I got a message saying they were churning Strawberry Butter today and asking me to come taste it and let them know if it they got it right. We stopped by this evening to try it and to my delight, they got it absolutely right! The sweet girls who waited on us said they had been waiting all day for me to come by and gave me the container to enjoy at home. My grandson ordered a Reeses sundae which he proclaimed "better than DQ". My friend Sally from Vermont who loves "a softee" got a vanilla cone and said it may be the best frozen custard she's ever had! The shop is bright and clean. They have walk up window and cute play ice cream parlor for the littles to practice becoming future ice cream makers.
