Came here for a light lunch and to grab a coffee. The customer service here was AMAZING. The girl taking our order was so patient with our different food allergies. She even went look at the ingredients on sauce/syrups for us (on her own without us asking). We went for sandwiches but they were out of gluten free bread so we did gluten free wraps. We were super excited to be able to order vegan cheese and vegan mayo. The wraps were very good portion sizes and the meat was high quality. We both ordered a club. It came with lays chips. We both ordered coffees. They use Monin syrup here and dairy free milk options included coconut which I was super excited for! I ordered a s'mores latte and it was yummy. Decaf is a little weak on coffee flavor so I would get an extra shot next time. Everyone is so nice here! read more

Autumn in Augusta, it's like a shy ghost. You know it's around the corner, but you just can't seem to see it. Around here it might pop up for a day/half day/even a week. Then summer returns with all its fury. But in that extended time where firepits can burn nightly and hot chocolate is the drink of choice, you just need a solid soup and sandwich place to count on. And, some delicious cake as a bonus. Here, you also get the luxury of a coffee shop serving beans from Dancing Goats for the one wanting a pour over to the one desiring a seasonal latte (e.g. Maple Blondie, Harvest Moon, The Lumberjack). And on the walls are the work of local artists. Not just for display, but available for purchase as well. So feed your stomach and your creativity by stopping in soon. This place is notable for having a variety of food with vegan options. I came in seeking only a drink on the day, however. GPS brought me to the front side which had little parking, but I drove around to the back where there was plenty. My chai was a syrupy but reasonably satisfying flavor, and oat milk was available. There was a party room in the back which was used for a gathering from the nearby military base. I'd be happy to come back and see what they can do for vegan brunch food. read more

I previously gave a glowing review however today their customer service left a lot to be desired. We had planned to order lunch as a department and I called an hour in advance at 10am to place an order of 9 sandwiches. I was told that they only had one cook and could not accommodate us. I asked if we gave them 2 hours could the fit us in and was again told no. I could hear the manager in the background saying we can't do it no matter what they say. So disappointed in this rude behavior. I usually love to support small businesses but apparently this one does not want us to support them. So we went to Panera instead. I won't wish anything bad on you but neither will I support this place again or recommend it to others. read more

I honestly didn't know this place existed. I was at the nearby Home Depot and needed something to eat and some coffee. I looked up coffee shops near by and Inner Bean Cafe popped up. I figured I'd give it a try. The service was really good. All the employees were really nice. The club sandwich was good. When you first pull in, it looks like there is limited parking. But there is more parking the rear of the building. For sure a nice little place to come do some school work and study. For those who are looking for GLUTEN FREE, GOOD NEWS!!!! Stopped at Inner Bean with my daughter after a friend recommended it for it's vegan options. With a little creativity and help from the amazing staff, nearly everything on the menu can be customized to be vegan AND gluten free. Oh, and the prices are completely reasonable. I wasn't inspired by the salad options on the menu so I asked for garden wrap with no wrap. I added the tofu and oh my goodness this tofu is so good. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly crispy. I'm a big dressing person so homemade dressing would have made this 100% perfect. My daughter got the kids PB&J which she declared 'SO good!'. I'd expected it to come with a little mini side (chips or fruit or something) since it's a kids 'meal' but my daughter was happy to snag a large portion of my salad as her lunch side. I didn't get a coffee but the coffee selection looks incredible. And unfortunately all of the vegan desserts were sold out. Had the opportunity to get a little work done while sipping a cup of yum this morning at Inner Bean Cafe. Inner Bean serves up a variety of specialty coffees (leaning on the sweeter side of things) as well as breakfast and lunch items. When I visited, I enjoyed one of their monthly coffee flavors, The Pumpkin King, as well as a bowl of fresh fruit. Both were lovely. The fresh fruit included fresh banana, mandarin oranges, blueberries, and strawberries. All of the fruit was sweet and delicious and all fresh--no canned mandarin oranges here! The coffee was everything a pumpkin spiced coffee ought to be. It's an order at the counter and then they'll bring your coffee and food out to you situation. The wifi was speedy (the login info is posted at the counter). The prices were quite reasonable ($10 for my bowl of fruit and specialty coffee) and the service is friendly. There's a private lot for parking. If it looks busy, not to worry, there's additional parking out back! Get to it! read more

This is a local place that I remember - five years ago - being absolutely phenomenal. Great coffee, amazing home town feel, exceptional service, the food was decent. We are back in town visiting and maybe this experience is as a one off. The coffee is still good - interesting flavors for lattes although a bit weak, I didn't get any food but looks decent, and smelled delicious. The service sucks though. Twenty three minutes to get two lattes when although it was steady, it was not busy. The girls behind the counter were hugging on each other, due to stress I imagine, and they all seemed very overwhelmed. It was very bizarre - they were also eating stuff behind the counter. I totally get being hungry, but step off the front line imo versus eating over peoples drinks. They were not very friendly outside of one girl, who seemed to be trying her hardest. But unfortunately, it was very off putting from the rest. It took about 30 minutes to have a quick in and out for coffee - so just know that, In note to the owner, Shane: I am surprised you are able to check cameras within the fifteen minutes since I posted this review - that's actually shockingly quick. As far as them eating, they definitely were. I'm not sure why you'd think I'd just put that in a review if it wasn't true. Secondly - since it's still a busy Saturday, perhaps since you've got the time to apparently check a video camera within fifteen minutes, step up as owner and go help your front line employees who (again outside of the one with the blue hair) were incredibly flat affect and rude, and help with the supposed Saturday morning rush. You were able to cross Reference my name with all the orders from this morning? That quick? Find the specific moment in time I saw them eating, drinking, and hugging over each other? Not a first timer! Although the service was extremely slow today, they still get 5 's. Unfortunately, there was only one cook (bless her heart) and it was pretty busy when I went around 11:40am. I do wish the young lady taking orders would have communicated that it would be a longer than normal wait. I waited 50 mins . It wasn't until I inquired about my order that she provided that information. I was completely fine and understanding. But, communication is key. I ordered a limited time summer drink called the Iced Honey Blackberry Matcha which was absolutely delicious!!! And, the Twisted Grilled Cheese, also delicious. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. I sat outside today which was nice. If you're looking for a small coffee shop feel, this is it. So not sure how I've missed reviewing this place. Been plenty of times, for a reason. The lattes are very smooth and delicious. So many different flavors and seasonal options. The food is really good as well. I really enjoy the Sri-Pesto wrap. The food is cooked fresh. I came here today for the first time while visiting from out of town. The atmosphere pulled me in with its relaxing fountain with tables and chairs displayed out front. I was greeted with a smile as I entered. I ordered a croissant and a mocha. They were both delicious. I sat reading by the wonderful fountain and thoroughly enjoyed my morning. The stars are just for the coffee. I tried the seasonal rose cardamom latte and there was just like no coffee flavor at all. Or any rose flavor either. It just tasted like sweet milk. I also tried the seasonal chai which was supposed to have rose and lavender flavor and same thing, it just tasted like plain out of the grocery store boxed chai. I've tried other lattes in the past as well and also not a lot of coffee flavor. The only thing I'll get here from now on is the inner bean milkshake. It's so good with espresso beans mixed into the milkshake. The place looks small from the outside but there is actually a bunch of seating outside, inside, and in the back! That is a huge plus to coming here. I enjoy the atmosphere a lot. And the barista was nice. read more

There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the delicious coffee and breakfast and lunch food items! The cashier was super sweet and personable. As I travel the country, I enjoy trying local coffee shops. The inner bean is by far one of the best I've been to. I ordered their twisted grilled cheese and a latte. I can't remember the name of the latte but I think it was something along the lines of "sweater weather." The latte was delicious and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The twisted grilled cheese is a must have if you visit! I got all the add-ons and it was soooooo worth it! The young man who helped us was hilarious, kind, and helpful. We were cracking up at his jokes and silly moments. He also fixed a couple things that were wrong with our orders. He didn't make a big deal about it (in a good way) and quickly fixed any issues. It's been about a year since we've been here, but I really wanted something different from my norm. I went ahead with an iced banana foster which was fantastic. I didn't ask for it to be sweeter, and I enjoyed all the flavors together. You wouldn't think banana and espresso would work well together, but I was happy with the drink. Smooth, rich, velvety. I'd order it again. My husband's however, tasted like soap. He got the green monster, and it was unpleasant to me. I love mint, and I love white chocolate, but this was not a good combination in my opinion. Not sure if it wasn't made correctly because of lunch rush, but I do not recommend. We also decided to try their food and got "sri-pesto chicken wrap". I was a bit shocked at the size. For $10 you get a small wrap with no sides. Don't get me wrong, the wrap was delightful, it was savory and just spicy enough. However, even though it was good, and I understand I'm paying for quality, ten dollars was a little too steep for me to continue purchasing food. I was a new customer here recently & I'm going to keep this short: 1. The initial service is great, information about the food was good. Friendly staff for sure & very patient. 2. The menu is SCRAMBLED. There's menu items that's not on the menu on the walls, counter or somewhere, why not put it all in one place where everyone can see everything? Also as for branding, decisions making purposes, stop using 100 different fonts, it's inconsistent & overwhelming especially for new customers. & I understand brand identity & all that but you want your customers to have that ease & reassurance that THAT'S what they want to order. 3. It took 50 minutes to get my order & all I had was 2 coffees. They need to improve the organization of receipts in a manner where they can handle the orders. I've watched from my table of each barista working on an order & it is a little messy. Also, the short girl who was making drinks, that is DANGEROUS & inefficient of how you reach for the syrups. I've watched how she pumps the syrup in the cup & each time it's inconsistent. The manager should least drop it down to a level reachable to her. Why are the syrups super high anyway? Starbucks don't have have theirs that high, it's like a stairway to heaven high lol 4. The food is costly. It seemed cheap at first but I didn't realize how much I paid for what I got. In my overall review I know this wasn't short. I understand that this cafe has its own personality & the owner can do whatever they want especially if they believe I'm wrong then that's fine too, this is MY review & my personal experience here. I would love to give this place another shot in a blue moon & changing my review as I don't feel this review is for certain. I can see myself being a regular here, having several favorites in the menu & enjoy spending time here. TLDR: Came here for breakfast on an early Sunday morning with a friend and it was excellent. The cafe was quite busy, but we only had to wait about 5-10 minutes to order and had no trouble finding a table. The person at the counter who took our order was very friendly despite the rush. Food took a while to come out (maybe about 20 minutes or so) but to be expected considering how busy it was. Pro Tip: If you are looking for a quick breakfast this is probably not the place for you. I ordered the breakfast quesadillas with the French toast (see photos). Had a Lucky Irishman to drink. Food and drink were both excellent. The breakfast Barracudas arrived a little after 0800 and the Inner Bean was quiet; only one other patron. We reviewed the drink and food menus, and the individuals helping us were friendly and cordial. I could have used a little more guidance on the plethora of coffee drinks. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese burrito. For $8 I would label this a small burrito. However, it was hot and the taste was adequate. I felt the bacon could have played a bigger role. I also ordered the french toast. It was nice. Nothing to write home about. It tasted like the standard french toast. What arrived at the table matched the menu description. read more
