He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. Even his dog walker said he has really improved and she did not know he was training.

Just manner type issues. Shelby was here for 2 weeks and we got back a dog that no longer pulls on the leash, we put down a rug/mat and say "Go to bed" and she lays on that rug/mat (I cant wait to take the dog out to a restaurant and just lay her rug down and have her sit there.) Ben and Walt were absolutely fabulous. Such a better trained dog. I can even drop food on the floor and say "leave it" and she wont go for it! I couldn't be more thrilled!
