If I could give no stars, I would. They say they look at the dogs daily but how can they stand behind that when you look at the way my dog was returned. All we would have liked was a phone call or update explaining something had happened but instead got 0 updates throughout the whole two weeks and no reports of any incidents when they "claim" they check the dogs thoroughly and regularly. $1,543 for two weeks of training. I should say abuse. After confronting them, they never owned up to it. You be the judge. Stay away from this place. read more

This was not at all what we were led to believe it was. We asked for the two week training where the dog stays there. The owner convinced us the dog would do much better if we did training between there and our home over 10 sessions . Number one the trainer we were given never advanced to even removing his muzzle ! I specifically asked the owner if they handled aggressive dogs . He assured us that was their focus. What a lie. They never even got beyond basic training which he already had. The trainer we had while nice never finished training and even after repeated calls and and emails .no one ever responded please don't wasted your money. My girl, whom other "professional" facilities and staff feared to approach is completely at ease with the staff at Woof Dogs. They know exactly how to tailor their approach and their training to her specific needs. Testament to my belief in their methods is that for over a year, I drove over 80 miles each way once a week to take my dog to training classes. I still make that drive for ongoing training, and they are the ONLY facility I will trust with her when I am traveling. Where other facilities confined her to a cage, afraid to even approach her, the Woof Dogs staff walks her, trains her, plays with her, does agility with her, and cuddles with her. Highly professional and skilled place. After some unpleasant training sessions I've had with my dog in Boston, I took my dog to this place, per recommendation of a friend. Initially, I was going to have her there for just two weeks. But having witnessed such an amazing progress, and her own love for the trainers, I decided to keep her there for two more weeks. Shay and Chris trained my dog and she's doing so well.She had dog reactivity, as well as a high prey drive. She's doing so much better. I do recommend both of the training periods, as it made a huge difference. If you are looking for a place that is safe, dog loving, secure, and highly professional and skilled, this is the place. Woof Dogs and Trainer John are amazing. We invested in Boot Camp for our two dogs because of an aggression incident with one of my dogs (a really good dog who is fearful of people at the front door) and my other dog, who is a puller on the leash and has a bit of a barking problem. My ultimate goal is to walk them both together on a loose leash and get them under control at the front door when people arrive. We did the Boot Camp while we were out of town, so it was convenient. The office staff was really efficient. All the dogs' veterinary and behavioral details are stored on their client profile portals for the trainers to refer to. I met with Shay, and he explained the details of the training. He is clearly very experienced and his team all follow the same logical system. When I picked up the dogs at the end of their Boot Camp, John spent 40 minutes with me. First, I watched the work he had done from far, then greeted them. John had me lead the work and explained how to walk them individually and together. They are doing so well! Then he set up a front door scenario and both dogs stayed on a down stay. The dogs came home and are doing really well - listening to my commands and working very well. We look forward to the follow-up in-home training. I highly recommend Woof Dogs. read more

He came back well trained and it's now up to us to enhance that training by repetition and constantly working with him on the commands he learned during his stay. I can't say enough amazing things about Shay and his trainers! I was having a lot of trouble with my mixed breed that I rescued from a kill shelter. I heard about Woof Dogs from a friend and couldn't resist the chance to have my dogs trained while we went on vacation. The place is actually nice and clean and the trainers seemed really knowledgable so we decided to leave our 2 Labradoodles. Our dogs needed leash training and basic obedience training so how could we go wrong with such experienced trainers. To make a very long story short, we were quite pleased when we picked our dogs up aft 2 weeks of boarding and training, Shay and his trainer demonstrated proper technique for us to continue teaching our dogs. We purchased the choke collars that the trainers used on our dogs and went home, eager to continue working with our dogs. After a day, I gave the dogs a bath and noticed that one of my dogs had scratches and marks on his neck. I figured it must've been from the choke collar but didn't think much more of it. My dog is very hairy and I figured the trainer may not have realized that Oliver was getting scratched by the choker. Two days after that, Oli was really scratching his neck area and I moved his hair around and saw big welts on his neck. I was horrified. I examined him more thoroughly and saw a big cut/scratch on his face and another one on his elbow. I immediately took Oliver to the vet. They shaved spots on his face and neck. They were absolutely disgusted by his condition. Oliver was given a shot, for an infection, and he had to wear a cone for a week while I had to clean his infected areas and put medication on him 3 times a day for the week. I was in touch with Shay a couple of times during the week this was happening. I told him that I really felt this was neglect (as opposed to abuse). I sent him pics of Oliver so he could show the trainers what happened and they really need to pay more attention to the dogs they "care" for. Although, I think the wounds on his neck were from the choke collar, I don't know how Oliver got a big welt on his face and on his elbow. I'm very disturbed by the whole thing and I think it's my responsibility to tell people our experience. Not that it matters, but we spent a large amount of money on training and then ended up not being able to put a collar on Oliver for 4 weeks so all of his "training' was useless 'cuz we couldn't reinforce anything he learned. read more

The man behind Woof Dogs, Shay, has been a god send for us! We have a terrier mix, Fynn, that has been struggling with aggression toward other dogs and sometimes other people. We decided to take Fynn to the two week training camp at Woof Dogs. When we came to get Fynn, he was mastering all of the basic commands (sit/stay/come) and was now heeling incredibly well. Shay walked Fynn past several dogs behind a gate and Fynn didn't even flinch. Shay and the rest of Woof Dogs took great care of Fynn while he was staying with them. Now that Fynn is home we are using the techniques that Shay taught us. The most important thing Shay taught us is what we as the owners need to change and showed us how we react to the dog is the key to success. Shay and his trainers really helped us out. We live in Florida during the winter horse show season and could not find a place to board our German Shepard. He is large and intimidating and was getting what we thought aggressive towards other dogs after being attacked numerous times by Jack Russell's. We took him to Shay and told him about this problem. He evaluated Max and explained to us how he is scared and not aggressive at all. in a few short sessions he had Max trained to be confident enough in himself to just ignore other dogs. We board him there every time we travel and do weekly training with Shay. Max can't wait to get out of car and go to work when we pull into facility.
