He had never lived in an apartment before, and I knew that adjusting to a new environment, smaller space, and all the activity that comes with apartment living would be a big transition for both of us. I was especially nervous because he could get overstimulated when people or other dogs were nearby. In an apartment building where you constantly encounter people and dogs in hallways, elevators, and other shared spaces, I felt very unsure of how to navigate those situations with him. When we first moved in, I was extremely cautious and used extra safety measures every time we went outside because I wanted to make sure I was prepared for any situation while he adjusted to his new surroundings. As soon as we arrived, I knew it was time to invest in training. My mother immediately started searching for the best dog trainers in the West Palm Beach area and found Maggie. Thanks to my Nana, I was able to make that investment, and it has been completely life-changing. Maggie genuinely transformed my dog. She taught both of us skills that gave me better control and helped me understand how to confidently navigate situations that previously made me nervous. For example, my dog used to become overstimulated when runners or bikers passed by. Maggie taught me how to recognize those situations before they happened, how to redirect his attention, and how to stay calm and confident throughout the process. She also helped strengthen my relationship with my dog. He trusts me so much more now, and Maggie helped me build confidence in myself as well. That confidence has affected not only how I interact with my dog, but also how I live my life. Dogs pick up on our emotions, and when you feel unsure of yourself, it can be difficult to communicate clearly with your dog. Maggie helped me understand just how important confidence and consistency are. One thing I especially appreciated was that Maggie always explained the "why" behind everything she taught me. She explained the psychology behind a dog's actions and the different things that can influence their behavior. That was so valuable because we don't always understand why dogs behave in certain ways, especially when those behaviors are simply their way of communicating or responding to their environment. During our hands-on training, Maggie would first demonstrate each exercise so I could clearly see how it should be done. Then, when it was my turn, she truly helped me master it by telling me what I was doing well and where I could improve. She even videotaped the exercises so I could review them step-by-step afterward. Maggie also went the extra mile by bringing her son to one of our training sessions after I explained that I wanted more practice navigating passing people in the hallway and entering the elevator. Having someone there to practice with made such a difference and helped me feel much more prepared for everyday situations. Whenever I have an issue, I know I can call Maggie, and she will give me real-time advice on what I could have done differently or better. She also recommended equipment that has made a world of difference. This experience has truly been life-changing. I no longer feel a wave of anxiety every time I need to walk my dog -- I actually look forward to it! I have even taken him to public places, including the beach, and I feel so much more confident doing things with him that I once thought would be difficult. We brought our puppies here for obedience training to Oscar which all seemed great at first and positive online reviews. Oscar and Maddie seemed like nice people that knew what they were doing. Bella (female) 4.5 month old Malinois Dallas (male) 9 month old shepherd We come to pickup our dogs on Friday 3/8/24 after multiple calls to Oscar and texts with no response as we originally requested this date. We finally get ahold of him to come pickup our dogs and already we were extremely concerned from the lack of communication from Oscar. It's like he went ghost with our dogs. We meet him around 4:30 at the kennel place where we dropped them off. We immediately see Bella with a huge laceration and bleeding on her leg from what they told us "she got caught in a wire in the kennel". How does that even happen? Why are there wires in a kennel? WHY DID YOU NOT CALL US??? Immediately we felt uncomfortable and concerned that no one was watching our dogs. We find out Oscar told us he was very sick, but don't you have other trainers that work here? Where is the girl we met? He told us Bella was at his house the whole week he was sick, we still paid for the full week of training, while Dallas on the other-hand was sitting in a kennel 24 hours a day in the heat! if there was nobody else training them, they were clearly not being watched, and this is the lack of supervision which caused Bella to get so injured. My dogs are not used to sleeping outside this was a new thing. The facility is not well kept and very dirty, I should have used better judgement to begin with. BOTH DOGS have kennel cough and a viral infection. Dallas has missing hair on his head. Bella has a life long scar and missing hair on her right leg and a cut on her nose. We are EXTREMELY LOYAL CUSTOMERS and we were hoping for a life long client/ trainer relationship here to continue success of our dogs training. Oscar had sent me many texts saying the dogs are good and all, but FAILED to notify me of my dogs injuries, which is extremely unacceptable, and very unprofessional. PAYMENTS: We agreed originally on $3800 for Bella (stated on the website I'll insert a screenshot here) and $4800 for Dallas. It comes down to payments and he charged me $1000 more for Bella for "bite work" which is not what we asked for! I thought he was just playing with her to have fun, I didn't know I would unknowingly be charged for this! Down the road if the obedience training went good, we would consider further training however, Bella doesn't even know the basic commands. (Sit, lay down, stay). I feel that we were completely taken advantage of and ripped off. Not to mention our dogs have serious injuries and lifelong scars. If someone was with our dogs this certainly would not have happened. Our dogs are our family we love them so much and we are really really upset and hurt with this entire experience. Is anyone even watching these poor dogs that live at this kennel???? The lack of professionalism and honesty is missing here. The least we could get is a $1000 refund for the overcharge even though we did not have the training completed. They were there for 4 complete weeks and we know the last week they did not get a full week of training with Oscar being sick. I am too scared to bring my dogs back here ever again and I am warning whoever calls this place. Any responsible or reliable person would have immediately at least called us or brought our dogs to the vet or animal hospital for immediate care and should have offered to pay for it. Even if I had the bill I would have preferred them to get immediate attention than just waiting till we found them. Bella was probably hanging there for hours in the wire before she was found injured. This is so bad and irresponsible!!!!!!!!! It is now Tuesday 3/12/24 - Bella is not doing good at all. In an extreme amount of pain and both dogs have to stay on multiple antibiotics for 2 weeks.

I took my dog Riley to meet with…read moreshay who recommended us to one of his trainers for in-home training on feb 4, I explained that my dog was very smart and obedient, but I wanted a safe way to get him used to other dogs because Riley freaks out every time we take him on a walk when he sees another dog. I felt the sessions the trainer provided us were kind of weak and basic, during the course of 5 months the office or the trainer canceled several times. I paid for 10 sessions and got 7 sessions all of which I was told were supposed to be 1-hour sessions but never got more than 45 mins total per session. I called a few weeks ago after no contact from their main office or trainer for a month asking what was going on and for a refund, but they haven't responded other than to know they don't offer refunds. I feel their main office and trainers do not do a good job of contacting you and my dog is still terribly scared of other dogs and has made little improvement.
