Beware of the changes in dental insurance acceptance. Seems very sneaky to charge double the price out of pocket than insurance. Dental cleanings should be a preventative healthcare. It's sad they market themselves as a family dentist office and have just become greedy. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Beware of the phony personalities there - this place is more concerned with doing their cutesy TikTok videos and staff kickball games than their patients. My husband spend over 16k at Salvatore and my son was a patient for years. Sadly, my son passed away in June and they couldn't so much as send a card. This is such an incredible practice. The doctors are all so knowledgeable while also caring. The level of dentistry that they are capable of here is at the very top of the country. I fly here from Florida because of Dr. Rich Salvatore's technical skill. That said, it is a family practice that knows their stuff. I am getting a full smile makeover with implants and veneers and their level of dentistry is hard to come by. For those of you that are local, you are just so lucky! My wife needed a fix-up on dental treatment after going to two other dentists who were unable to handle the problem after 6 visits to two separate offices. She flew up and it was handled by Salvatore Dental in one visit. I highly recommend this team and this practice. The people there are amazing. Been a patient for over 25 years and I just cancelled that today. They went from a small family business with personal care to what is now what i'd describe as "The Walmart of Dentistry". You're just a number and a dollar figure to them. I've been thinking of leaving for a couple years and they just gave me the push I needed. It's is my opinion based on my recent experience that Salvatore Dental is not what they cracked up to be. Be cautious about the out of pocket costs and the internal accounting errors. Rather than negotiate and make the customer happy after an internal error, they just refund your money and sever the relationship. Sad because most of the staff there are great people. So let me explain: it's never what you do but *how* you do it. My husband was already a patient, so I gave it a try. I arrived and explained I had previously undergone excision of a salivary gland tumor and that the surgeon recommended I avoid radiographs. Ihad some bite-wings done a couple of years back that I could have forwarded to them. The hygienist then said they could not do my cleaning. The dentist came in and she waffled back & forth between "we can't do it" and "we can do it if we get confirmation from your surgeon". That's fine. Except my surgeon was in California and it was 6am there. I requested they do the cleaning as I was already there, and speak with my surgeon and if he gave the go ahead, I'd come back later for the radiographs. That was not acceptable. I found their position rigid and lacking in compassion. Plus I got up early on my day off to get there and they wasted my time. Mind you, since my surgery, I have never had such and inflexible experience with any dentist I've encountered. In my opinion this is what they could have done to salvage the situation: 1) Do the cleaning, and have me come back for the radiographs 2) Reschedule me and compensate me for my time and inconvenience (e.g. a complimentary tooth whitening or something like that). But you know, it's all good. I found a very wonderful, reasonable dentist and Salvatore Dental has lost not one, but *two* patients, including anyone in the future who asks me for a recommendation. read more

A really great dental office and I highly recommend it for any of your dental needs. I actually flew up from Florida from Florida because I had been to 2 other practices practices and tried to get a problem solved over about 6 different dental visits, all of them unsuccessful and unsatisfactory to my needs. I flew up because they have amazing technical skill and I heard what they are capable of. In just one visit which they managed to squeeze me in with one day's notice and they located and solved the problem that was earlier undiscovered by the other practices. These guys are so good, so friendly and so competent that my husband and I have decided to make them our dentist despite them being a flight away. Dentistry is not fun so it's worth it to us ro go to a place where we know we can get the work done one time with the least amount of pain and trouble. I highly recommend this practice. read more

Dr. Rich Salvatore is amazing. What a pleasant experience. I went for a consult to figure out what to do with my smile. He gave me two options. I was happy he told me there are different ways to fix my teeth. One of the options included my insurance covering some of the treatment and the second option, my insurance would not cover anything. I was really upset when he told me my insurance would not cover the dental implants. That is the best option for me. But I cannot be upset at him, I neglected my teeth for a longtime. I am glad he went over the cost of both options directly with me. It's just a lot of money but I did this to myself. I feel very comfortable with him. He showed me before and after photos of patients he actually treated and that were not just generic. Thanks Doc. I'm glad to be in your hands. read more

Please beware! Recently moved to the area and selected this place for its location. Have Met Life Plus insurance, best on the market. Was told they were in-network and all preventative care would be covered for our family of 5, as usual. Billed $191 for x-rays and fluoride because they had already been "done for the year" in a different state, for which full records were provided. Explanation given was dentist didn't think they were clear enough. Never notified or asked about it. Opted not to fix/adjust. Payment is due at time of scheduling, in our case, for a crown appointment 3 weeks out. I asked if I could pay on the day of service but prior to treatment, in case of emergency, their business closing, illness, etc. Was told no, this is their policy. Paid $850 and scheduled the appointment. Husband was to have medication prescribed prior to crown procedures. Twice showed up to CVS, no script, called doc, went back, no script. No apology, no explanation. This happened two different times about 10 days apart, which is almost unbelievable. A big deal to the patient, a lot of wasted time for us, and in the end the script was never called in, either time. Daughter had a very small filling done, tiny by their own description. She had pain for weeks, finally got back in (they made her wait a week) to find out the dentist had left it "too high" on the bite and her gums were bruised and swollen. Had last dentist for 20 years, and the two times a family member had acute pain, someone met us at the office within 1-2 hours. There's better options out there, find them! read more

These people are sneaky. I went there for extractions and a denture. They had their own ideas. While I was numb from the extractions they put bone grafts in. I had absolutely no idea they did this until I went back for a checkup. Then I was advised that they did the grafts in preparation for implants. Then they hit me with a $9000 bill!!! I left in a hurry and cried all the way home. I was left with a temporary denture that hurt considerably and it was impossible to eat. That's where I'm at. I have a denture that's very painful and it's impossible to eat. I have bone grafts that were never agreed upon or wanted. There was no communication whatsoever about their plan. $9000?!! I'm retired and on social security!! I would never have agreed to their plan!! They wanted me to sign up for a dental credit card!! Oh my goodness. Stay away from here!! I have to spend more money now to get a comfortable denture!! Don't be fooled by them!! You will regret it!! read more

Wouldn't see anyone at beginning of Covid so went elsewhere and they found I needed a root canal thanks to Dr Rich preferring to pay for his new building than do his job properLy. Now the replacement dentist is my full time guy. Got root canal and doing better. read more

Went there with a chipped tooth, because I was looking for a dentist in the area, and was told that I needed almost ten grand of work on my mouth between a root canal and supposedly 17 cavities. I went to get a second opinion, and was told I actually only had 7 cavities that needed work. Oh, AND I need a second root canal that they completely missed. I had x rays done at both dentists, the tech at Salvatore's literally made my mouth bleed JUST from x rays (not how it's supposed to go). At the other dentists office the price they gave me was a THIRD of what Salvatore's was going to try to scare me into paying, and that's WITH another root canal. I wouldn't recommend this dentist to my worst enemy. read more

I went to Salvator Dental to have my old bridge removed and replaced with implants. Following my first visit I was very optimistic and excited about getting this work done even though I was given an estimate of $5,700. Dr. Richard called me 3 times on my cellphone to inquire when I planned to start the work. I informed him that I planned on having the work commence in September and he agreed. During our conversation Dr. Richard informed me that if I had problems with my bridge over the summer that he would re-cement it and not to worry . I was very appreciative of his offer not thinking I would have any problem between June and Sept. Yesterday my bridge came loose and I called Salvator Dental and requested an appointment to have my bridge cemented. I informed the receptionist of my problem and what Dr. Richard informed me 3 weeks ago. She said she will notify Dr. Richard and get back to me. She never called back. When I called her to inquire what happened she said that the doctor said he will not cement the bridge as he wanted to start the implant work even though she said they are booked out to September. I asked to speak with the doctor directly but he never called back. Obviously, when he wanted the work he called me 3 times but when I needed his assistance he renagged on his word. Obviously, Salvator Dental is not credible. read more

Beautiful office space. Thorough cleaning. Great with my kids, too. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

I never left a doctor's office feeling so belittled and talked down to. Dentist has poor bedside manner, explains common procedures to adults as if they were children. Does not listen to patient's history and talks 100 words a minute. Dentist does not like being disagreed with, or seems unable to have a discussion/conversation in a calm, rational manner. And more importantly dentist does not want to take the time to do so. Vacillates between treatment options on a whim. Seems inexperienced and facility is like a factory. I don't think I ever left a doctor's office feeling so confused and discouraged. If you need a dentist go somewhere else. read more
