    Cheese Ravioli

First of all, the food was great! The Salvo's favorite pasta dish was so tasty! And the garlic knots are amazing. My husband had the cheese ravioli and he loved it. We got the kids spaghetti for my son and he loved it. We will definitely go back to try their pizza! The inside is nothing exciting, we ate at the restaurant and it seems like they do better with takeout. Service was ok, and they don't have great options for drinks. I'd recommend doing takeout if you want to try them out.

    Supreme Pizza minus green peppers

We've always been fans of Salvos and thought we'd try their fairly new location in MJ for lunch. Everything was EXCELLENT! We ordered the Supreme pizza minus green peppers and also 2 drinks. Drinks are serve yourself and they offer Coke products. They weren't very busy so pizza came out fairly quickly. Fresh, hot and delicious! Service was friendly and he checked on us often. Best pizza around!

Food was okay. I had spaghetti and meatballs. Our four person group, we shared the 18" pizza ( sausage and pepperoni). Pizza was okay but not spectacular. Service was acceptable. Definitely okay to eat at.

I ordered ahead and when I went inside it was a bit of a mad house. The place is a little small, but does have a tv to watch sports. That said, the customer service is friendly and found my order i placed earlier in the day as an order ahead. I was in and out rather fast. Total cost was $50 for everything: Large Cheese, Sicilian slice and cheesecake Cheese Pizza was supposed to be well done crust but wasn't. Otherwise, it was average Cheese Pizza. Nothing great as the sauce isn't grand but i did enjoy the crust. Sicilian was decent. I like the dough. Sauce is still not grand. Cheesecake was a cheesecake. It's close in proximity and okay at best.

Pizza was good. Loads of sauce on the pizza. Thin crust like I like it. Appetizers were good. Anti pasta was good. Great service and great prices. I get this place in an A+. video review will be available Wednesday on the Jack on the go show on YouTube

Let me start this off by saying I know this location just opened and they may need to roll out some issues here I absolutely love the other location in Hermitage but this location is so much closer and unfortunately much worse. Not only is the staff disorganized and seem to be unaware of what is going on but my "cheese" pizza slices seem to have cheese that evaporated into thin air somehow (see picture) i typically get the fettuccine alfredo pasta as I did tonight and it usually is my comfort meal in hermitage its soo good and creamy as well as seasoned well. Here it lacked flavor and had little sauce. Out of our $80 order tip included the only thing that came out ok here was the cheese bread and my husband's pepperoni pizza. Mount Juliet wise I would order Fayzanos over this salvos location any day. I hate to say this because this location is so much closer but I will make the drive to the hermitage location before coming back here.

    Now that's a pizza!

Great pizza and easy for takeout. Not big in the cheese sticks, they seem to me as frozen not fresh.

However, the food was incredibly delicious, and the service was very good. We ordered pizza, a calzone, a meatball sandwich, salad and two different gnocchi dishes. My recommendation; definitely go out of your way, as we did, but eat it elsewhere. It's well worth it.

Like, it's good enough that you *will* contemplate eating your order in your car before heading home. It's well worth the drive and it will live up to everything you've heard/read. It will. You absolutely need to patronize it. TdG had been on my radar for a minute but I'm not often in Hermitage* and I couldn't justify driving out of town for food when I have other options closer by. BUT I had to find out if the food was *just* that good. I'd read rave after rave. It's just pasta. Can it be that great? So, on a chilly late fall Saturday night I decided I needed to find out. I'd done my research so I knew the place was small. I knew I might need to play human tetris in the waiting area on a cold day. I knew what to order. But I also 'knew' that the 'say Yelp' phrase would offer a discount. The phrase was uttered but no discount came my way (which is the reason for the four stars instead of five). Lack of discount aside, everyone with whom I interacted was very polite and welcoming even despite the place being a madhouse of activity and orders. My food was ready in an appropriate amount of time and the bag had adequate weight/heft. The pleasant aroma filled the cold air as I walked to my car and surrounded me all the way home. I came home, poured a glass of wine, plated my food and... wow. This was/is phenomenal. I ordered the 4 cheese gnocchi and, without a doubt, one of the best gnocchi dishes I have had in life (and I used to be paid to eat**). I think I uttered the word 'perfect' between forkfuls. Each 'perfect' pillowy dumpling was lathered in a combo of mozzarella, asiago, gorgonzola, and pecorino. That alone would have been delicious but woven into the dish were ribbons of crispy prosciutto. Other.Worldy. It's getting cold. Sweater weather is here. Bathing suit season is months away. You're free to eat heaping plates of some of the best pasta you've ever had. *I came before they had a second location. **Among other things.

I especially love it when simplicity and genuine passion is served, not just presentation. Anyway, to start off - this market, and it's a market, not quite a restaurant. When my friend and I stopped in, there was one table, four chairs. Since we were there late, we were able to sit and dine in. Sitting and eating there allowed us to chat with Kojo - the owner. Learning not just about the market but his history and his passion for what he does. Switching gears again - the market is in a huge shopping plaza. Lots of parking. And free. As for the food - see the pics. Dinner pics is mixed in with what was left in the market. I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed the flavors of the dishes he made on the spot for us. As we were there late in the day, most of the popular dishes were sold out however, he made a few suggestions, even two that were off the menu and made it to order. When we were there, it was a one man operation. So he was also our host and server. If you couldn't tell - service was excellent. Chatting about food. About seafood. About the beginning of Gulf Port. And about life in general. This is one of those places, that if I lived there - I'd frequent the place just because of him. It's just too bad that me going there requires a plane ticket and a five or so hour flight. But, also know this - next time I fly into Nashville, I'll make my way to Hermitage and have more delicious, fresh seafood.

**April 2025: Saturday Evening Visit**…read more My friend and I wanted to eat somewhere in the Hermitage area since that's where we were staying and Gulf Port Seafood had really high ratings, which were 100% well deserved. I should preface this by saying that Gulf Port is a seafood market first and that they have one table (4 chairs) so you can dine-in - but space is limited. Kojo, the restaurant owner, has both raw and hot options for patrons to enjoy. We came pretty late on a Saturday so many of his popular items (gumbo and lobster roll) were sold out, but we decide to try his other offerings which were delicious. We ordered the 2 orders of Cajun Crawfish Roll (methinks $15?), Seafood Mac & Cheese (methinks $20?) and Shrimp and Grits ($20? maybe) and all were made to order and brought to our table in a timely manner. The Cajun Crawfish Rolls came out first (I guess one order is given two rolls) and we demolished it. The toasted bun had a nice char, but was fluffy on the inside and the cajun sauce gave the crawfish nice flavor. We devoured this and were really impressed with the item. Next the Seafood Mac and Cheese came our as well as the shrimp and grits. The Mac and Cheese had such a great blend of cheeses and the noodles were cooked al dente. The grits on the shrimp and grits were scrumptious - not mushy at all and the shrimp was cooked through. Everything tasted very comforting and the prices are very reasonable! Overall, this was definitely a highlight meal of my Southern States travels and the next time I'm back in Nashville I hope to try the gumbo and lobster roll!

But, speaking to that, it had a couple of intersting aspects. One, they would literally give you 10-20% more if you ordered that dish to go because their to-go containers when filled were noticeably larger than the dishes your entrees came on. And, two, their "spaghetti" was actually linguine and is 100% the reason linguine is my favorite noodle when it comes to traditional rope pasta. I told you that to tell you this, Fayzano's "linguine" is definitely fettuccine. Those noodles were super wide. Not that that's a huge deal, but much like getting linguine when you're expecting spaghetti, the mouth feel for fettuccine is not the same as the mouth feel for linguine. It holds the sauce different, it retains the clams different, and the proportion of sauce to pasta is super different. I mean--it was good. Clams in red sauce will always be my preferred go-to order, but I still would've rather had the skinnier flat noodles of a linguine than a super wide fettuccine noodle. It's just more satisfying to me. The service here was good. They got our food quickly and with minimum banter. And then they got out of the way, checking in maybe every five to ten minutes, which is the perfect amount. The ambiance was good. It's a good neighborhood pizza and pasta joint like Carmine's. It's not very big but it has a lot of spacing between the tables as not to feel cramped up in there. It's also deceptively laid out to feel fuller than it is, which is nice. It gives the whole place a nice energy. I still wish thru had real linguine, but if that's my chief complaint then you know this place is doing something right.
