This one is hard to share I really want to keep this one to myself but I love this restaurant. The food is great and authentic. Don't forget to try the Kunefeh. (Spelling may vary.) Where's the flavor? This was the first and last time we will be eating here. The gyro tasted like unseasoned burger and the kofta tasted like slightly oddly seasoned burger. This tasted like cafeteria food. Very disappointing. Also since when are tortillas starved with greek food? Both of our plates came with 2/3 of a burrito size tortilla. The baba ganoush was the only thing that came with pita. Thankfully the baba ganoush tasted better than it looked because it was the best thing we received. Tholos Mediterranean is a newer spot in Mount Juliet that already feels like it's built with a lot of care behind it. We tried the Tholos Family Kabob as a group of about 6-8 people, and it was an incredible way to experience a big part of the menu. The spread was huge -- a mix of dips, soups, and grilled meats that all came out fresh and clearly made in-house. The table included their hummus, baba ghanoush, haydari, ezme, spinach tarator (my favorite), carrot tarator, shakshuka, lentil soup, rice, salad, grilled tomato, and fresh pita. For the meats, we had adana, chicken, kofta, and lamb chops, and everything had really great flavor and felt thoughtfully seasoned and cooked over charcoal! The lamb chops were the standout for me -- super tender and flavorful, and honestly not something I usually gravitate toward, which says a lot. Everything else was just really fresh and satisfying in that "you can tell this is made with intention" kind of way. The dessert was also a highlight! The künefe was unexpected in the best way. It's warm, crispy shredded pastry layered with melted cheese in the center, finished with a sweet syrup and pistachio. It's rich, a little stretchy and so good you won't want to share! We also had the chance to meet the owner and chef while we were there, and it was clear how much pride they take in both the food and the experience. That sense of hospitality shows up in the way the menu is explained and how much attention is given to quality and freshness and to wanting an atmosphere that feels like welcoming you in to their home. The small private dining room is a beautiful space that would be a great option for family celebrations, graduations, and even bridal or baby showers if you're looking for a spot for your next event! Best food in Nashville! I'm not sure how to say this without sounding hyperbolic, but I've lived in Nashville for 24 years and this is the best food I've had here. I can't say it's the best restaurant because it is a plain setting, in a plain building with views of a parking lot. But if you're looking for new, unique, delicious flavors and not ambiance, this is your place. The flavors are absolutely incredible. The service is excellent. The proprietor always comes around and asks about your food in a way that makes you believe he REALLY wants to know your thoughts and opinions. I met up with a few girlfriends here for dinner at their suggestion. I arrived first and was seated right away, which was a great start. I'll admit Greek food isn't usually my go-to--I tend to stick with gyros when I do have it--but unfortunately, those weren't on the dinner menu. I ended up ordering a Greek salad with added lamb and a tea. The salad was fresh and flavorful, but it felt a bit overpriced at just over $20. It also leaned more toward a pico de gallo style than what I typically expect from a salad, which left me a little underwhelmed. That said, my friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals and had nothing but good things to say. I'm so happy we stumbled upon this restaurant! We were exploring the Mt. Juliet area and were starving. While doing some shopping, we asked someone where we should go to eat and they recommended Tholos. We got there right as another table was leaving, so we didn't have to wait long till we got seated. The aromas that hit us in the dining room were the first indication that we were in for a treat. We started with a hummus plate and that was so delicious, we asked for extra pita bread so we could savor the flavors even longer. Everything on the menu looked amazing and I couldn't choose what to order, so I asked the waiter and he recommended the Adana Kabobs because they were his favorite. Let me just say, I can see why! They were juicy, tender, packed with flavor, and perfectly spiced. They had a little kick at the end, but that just helps to keep things interesting. They were great with their Tzatziki and rice. I wish we lived closer so that we could go all the time. We'll have to go back next time we're in the area. read more

Warm, friendly and attentive staff who took the time to explain Tholos' version of Lentil Soup. I single out Lentil Soup that's actually Kurkish Lentil Soup made with Red Lentils and various spices. Most delightful. Also enjoyed Lamb Shish Kabobs cooked medium-rare as ordered with mixed salad, rice and grilled veggies. Enjoyed Spinach Spanakopita appetizer. I had the vegan vegetable clay pot (without the rice, it's not vegan) and it was absolutely delicious! Our waitress was fantastic, she clearly explained what was vegan and what wasn't, which I really appreciated. It was my mother in laws 87 birthday and they sang to her. The owner even came by our table to wish my mother-in-law a happy birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of parking and they accommodated for wheelchair and a walker/cane. You have a choice of booth or table seating too. Here's how they accommodated for my food allergies and being vegan. This is how KIND they are, they prepared my own special clay pot due to food allergies and that tells me: they respected my needs, they took me seriously, they didn't treat me like an inconvenience, my food was actually fresh and safe! My wife and I went for a late lunch today around 1:30. We started off ordering the mixed appetizer platter. I thought everything was very good. I thought the shatsuka took the show on that platter. My wife ordered the mixed kabob platter. For us, the lamb was good as well as the kofta. The chicken kabob was good also but I thought the lamb was better. We asked for tzatziki sauce which I thought made for a good flavor combination. I ordered coban kavurma. The presentation in the bread looked great. I thought the flavor was good but the meat was a bit tough like it needed longer to cook. Neither of us was a fan of the salad. The restaurant was very nice and clean inside. There was quite soothing music. The waiter was very friendly and was quick to help if we asked. I think it is worth a try for Mediterranean cuisine in Mt Juliet. read more

This mediterranean restaurant just recently opened and I will have to say that we really enjoyed it. It's a small space but the ambiance is nice and the staff were friendly and provided very good service. The food that we got was fresh and very flavorful. The use fresh ingredients and sourced locally, which I like. My wife got a dish called Testi Kabob, which is a Lamb Stew cooked in a clay pot. They brought out the clay pot and poured it in a bowl tableside. She loved it! I got the Mixed Kabob Platter. The Lamb Chop and the Adana Kabob were the stars of the show for me. They offer Cold Apps, Hot apps, Homemade Soup, Main Courses, Pastas, Salads, Vegetarian Plates, Kids Menu, Breads and Desserts. Hidden Gem!! If you like Mediterranean Cuisine, this is the place! First time here and already can say "I'll be back"! It's very new so they haven't got around to really decorate yet, which was fine it was very clean! Of course their service was great and very knowledgeable about the menu! First came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. The dining area is unfinished as they continues to work on the decor. But it's clean & spacious. The foods were delicious, generous amount and full of flavors. The service was slow initially but once we asked for my mom's tea, which was being freshly brewed, it improved & kept us updated on our orders. The owner even came to our table. Tonight we decided to go back for dessert only. We had planned to get it to go. But once the owner greeted us & started talking about the desserts, that comes with ice cream if dining-in only, we decided to eat in. So glad we did. The ice-cream was amazing. We decided to just sit at the table by the entrance. The owner remembered us from last time, had great conversations with us & made sure we enjoyed our desserts. We did! Came for lunch. One had the lamb shank and said it was absolutely delicious, the rice, the potatoes and the sauce too. Two of us had the gavurdagi salad, one with chicken, 4 little pieces. It's a chopped salad. I love cucumbers and walnuts, but either one of us thought the salad was good. It was flavorless and boring. The spanakopita was very good. Our waitress had absolutely no personality. A man, guessing the owner, came by after our meal to see if we enjoyed it, which was very nice. We waited a bit for a table because it's starting to catch on how good this place is! We ordered the hummus as an appetizer and it came with 2 things of pita bread, it was really good but could've used a little more pita bread. Probably some of the best food I've ever had. Coworker and I came here from AR and TX when in town for work. We got falafel, grape leaves, beef stir fry, and baklava. "Edible but not enjoyable" is how my lunch date put the Greek salad. The katamata olives were substituted with Spanish olives, which combined with the oil didn't remotely taste like a Horiatiki, or traditional Greek village salad. It was large - enough for at least two to share. It appears we visited during their soft opening. Many menu choices were crossed out (essentially the Greek choices and the chicken schnitzel), which is why we came to try. (I love Greek food and am particular, having lived there for several years have returned many times.) Service was attentive and our drinks were topped off. Speaking of which and unfortunately, the iced tea is packaged and not freshly made, a difference anyone can taste. At least the Diet Coke tasted good. While the "Greek" salad came out quickly but my Adana wrap took an additional ten minutes. People arrived after us and were served sooner than me. And we were served sooner than a pair that arrived before us. So please be aware that depending on what you order, there may be a wait or the food may arrive at staggered times. The Adana was surrounded my a tortilla-like flour based wrap. I expected it to be wrapped by a pita but again, acceptable but not great. Which describes the warm but not crispy fries. Our waiter solicited our feedback was very receptive to our observations. While we declined to have the price of the salad removed from our bill, he offered us their baklavas, which they make and was very, very good. Overall, it is clear they are working through issues such as supply and timing. I'll give them a couple of months to get to where I want to believe they want to be. I just hope they get there quickly because I want a great Greek place in Mt Juliet! read more

The staff was very welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. The food was EXCELLENT.
