    Künefe dessert with ice cream
    Tiffany C.

Tholos Mediterranean is a newer spot in Mount Juliet that already feels like it's built with a lot of care behind it. We tried the Tholos Family Kabob as a group of about 6-8 people, and it was an incredible way to experience a big part of the menu. The spread was huge -- a mix of dips, soups, and grilled meats that all came out fresh and clearly made in-house. The table included their hummus, baba ghanoush, haydari, ezme, spinach tarator (my favorite), carrot tarator, shakshuka, lentil soup, rice, salad, grilled tomato, and fresh pita. For the meats, we had adana, chicken, kofta, and lamb chops, and everything had really great flavor and felt thoughtfully seasoned and cooked over charcoal! The lamb chops were the standout for me -- super tender and flavorful, and honestly not something I usually gravitate toward, which says a lot. Everything else was just really fresh and satisfying in that "you can tell this is made with intention" kind of way. The dessert was also a highlight! The künefe was unexpected in the best way. It's warm, crispy shredded pastry layered with melted cheese in the center, finished with a sweet syrup and pistachio. It's rich, a little stretchy and so good you won't want to share! We also had the chance to meet the owner and chef while we were there, and it was clear how much pride they take in both the food and the experience. That sense of hospitality shows up in the way the menu is explained and how much attention is given to quality and freshness and to wanting an atmosphere that feels like welcoming you in to their home. The small private dining room is a beautiful space that would be a great option for family celebrations, graduations, and even bridal or baby showers if you're looking for a spot for your next event! I'm so excited to go back once the patio opens!

    Greek salad with lamb
    Jessica M.

I met up with a few girlfriends here for dinner at their suggestion. I arrived first and was seated right away, which was a great start. I'll admit Greek food isn't usually my go-to--I tend to stick with gyros when I do have it--but unfortunately, those weren't on the dinner menu. I ended up ordering a Greek salad with added lamb and a tea. The salad was fresh and flavorful, but it felt a bit overpriced at just over $20. It also leaned more toward a pico de gallo style than what I typically expect from a salad, which left me a little underwhelmed. That said, my friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals and had nothing but good things to say. While it may not be a spot I'd personally return to based on my preferences, it's clearly a favorite for others.

I'm so happy we stumbled upon this restaurant! We were exploring the Mt. Juliet area and were starving. While doing some shopping, we asked someone where we should go to eat and they recommended Tholos. We got there right as another table was leaving, so we didn't have to wait long till we got seated. The aromas that hit us in the dining room were the first indication that we were in for a treat. We started with a hummus plate and that was so delicious, we asked for extra pita bread so we could savor the flavors even longer. Everything on the menu looked amazing and I couldn't choose what to order, so I asked the waiter and he recommended the Adana Kabobs because they were his favorite. Let me just say, I can see why! They were juicy, tender, packed with flavor, and perfectly spiced. They had a little kick at the end, but that just helps to keep things interesting. They were great with their Tzatziki and rice. I wish we lived closer so that we could go all the time. We'll have to go back next time we're in the area.

    Lentil Soup (Turkish)

Our gang of 4 enjoyed dine-in lunch at Tholos Mediterranean Restaurant. Earlier, we had only used takeout. I now prefer dine-in based on presentation, portion size, and freshness. Warm, friendly and attentive staff who took the time to explain Tholos' version of Lentil Soup. I single out Lentil Soup that's actually Kurkish Lentil Soup made with Red Lentils and various spices. Most delightful. Also enjoyed Lamb Shish Kabobs cooked medium-rare as ordered with mixed salad, rice and grilled veggies. Enjoyed Spinach Spanakopita appetizer. Others tried Chicken Gyro Wrap, Coban Kavurma, and Falafel Wrap. Right off N Mount Juliet in the Charlie's Place commercial center hidden behind Dunkin' Donuts. Private parking lot. Will return

Amazing restaurant experience. The food was delicious!!!! The service was stellar, and the interior decoration was spot on. We both had the Spaghetti Bolonais, and it was rich & delicious. Our waitress, as I said was stellar,........... she was very helpful as this was the first time in a Mediterranean restaurant. Great recommendations that were just what I needed. Bravo!!!!!! A++++++++++. We will be back!!!!

    Iskender Plate, very delicious!

We've been going here since it opened and it is an excellent place to eat. The owner is exceptionally nice and is very passionate about his food and providing great customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant, one of the best in Mt Juliet.

We stopped here for lunch and were seated immediately. The waiter was kind and helpful with the menu options. He explained the difference of dishes so that I could decide what sounded best to me. I ordered the gyro platter and it came well seasoned and hot when it was delivered. We also got the stuffed eggplant too. It was very good. Nice and seasoned well and savory. I would actually give this place a 4.4, but as we know- yelp doesn't allow partial stars. We will be back

I had the vegan vegetable clay pot (without the rice, it's not vegan) and it was absolutely delicious! Our waitress was fantastic, she clearly explained what was vegan and what wasn't, which I really appreciated. It was my mother in laws 87 birthday and they sang to her. The owner even came by our table to wish my mother-in-law a happy birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. There was plenty of parking and they accommodated for wheelchair and a walker/cane. You have a choice of booth or table seating too. Here's how they accommodated for my food allergies and being vegan. This is how KIND they are, they prepared my own special clay pot due to food allergies and that tells me: they respected my needs, they took me seriously, they didn't treat me like an inconvenience, my food was actually fresh and safe! That' is rare and really sweet!! Thank you!! I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend Tholoes Mediterranean Restaurant. PS: I took over half my food home because there was so much!! Definitely worth coming. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I'd love to see even more vegan options, everything else was wonderful. Thank you.

    Gyro and chicken plate

Portion size galore! We tried this place for lunch and got both of the chicken and the Gyro plate, and had enough to eat on the next day for two people. Service was a little slow, but nothing crazy, and our food came out quickly, so that always helps. It's also really pretty in there!

Hot App- Cabbage Rolls with Yogurt. Stuffed with Beef and Rice topped with a Tangy Tomato Sauce. Very good

This mediterranean restaurant just recently opened and I will have to say that we really enjoyed it. It's a small space but the ambiance is nice and the staff were friendly and provided very good service. The food that we got was fresh and very flavorful. The use fresh ingredients and sourced locally, which I like. My wife got a dish called Testi Kabob, which is a Lamb Stew cooked in a clay pot. They brought out the clay pot and poured it in a bowl tableside. She loved it! I got the Mixed Kabob Platter. The Lamb Chop and the Adana Kabob were the stars of the show for me. They offer Cold Apps, Hot apps, Homemade Soup, Main Courses, Pastas, Salads, Vegetarian Plates, Kids Menu, Breads and Desserts. I definitely recommend this place for Mediterranean located in North Mt. Juliet next to the Christmas Place. Enjoy!!

Hidden Gem!! If you like Mediterranean Cuisine, this is the place! First time here and already can say "I'll be back"! It's very new so they haven't got around to really decorate yet, which was fine it was very clean! Of course their service was great and very knowledgeable about the menu! They give tips on what you'd like based on your preferences, we don't live that far from this place so we always pass by, it is always packed since it's been opened, I mean ALWAYS PACKED!! And mind you, they are very new!! So that says something about the food and the service. At this point it's all been word of mouth because they just opened like maybe 2 weeks ago! So, go try this place out, you won't be disappointed!!

    Lamb chops

Lentil soup as amazing! Even took one home for later. Lamb chops were awesome too. The side salad greens weren't super fresh though. Kurdish coffee was tasty as well. Service was fast and friendly.

Service was smooth and attentive throughout our visit. We started with the hummus, which came with fried naan--absolutely delicious and a great way to kick things off. The tea was fresh, and the fresh strawberry juice was divine. You could literally hear them juicing it in the back after ordering, which made it feel even more special--definitely a must-try! For entrees, we tried a variety of dishes. The pork ribs were very tender and well-seasoned, though they leaned more toward a Southern style rather than a Mediterranean herb flavor. Still very good! The Chicken Shawarma Plate was flavorful and perfectly seasoned, and both dishes came with incredibly tasty rice that really stood out. The Crazy Burger was HUGE and cooked and seasoned to perfection--definitely come hungry if you order that one. We also got a to-go recommendation from our server: the Santorini's Mixed Grill (lamb chops, beef kabob, chicken kabob, and kofta). WOW--he was absolutely right. It reheated beautifully, and everything was outstanding. The lamb chops were perfection, the beef was excellent, and the kofta seasoning was spectacular. Portions are massive--easily two meals per dish--so you definitely get your money's worth. We left full and already talking about coming back. Safe to say, we've found a new local favorite to add to our rotation. If you're anywhere near Mt. Juliet, Santorini's is well worth the visit
