The home itself is beautifully decorated, with rich, dark woods in the comfortable dining area. Mark has created a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere for his guests. The surrounding yard is lovely as well, but we didn't have time to really enjoy that part of it. The Inn has unique rooms, and we decided to give the kitschy Egyptian room a try. It was maybe a little corny, but also fun! The double-wide bathtub was the highlight of the room for us! The breakfast - was outstanding. 3 courses, none of them too heavy, and a perfect end to our brief stay. Even dessert! We really enjoyed our stay, and the next time we come to Berthoud for an overnight? Berthoud Inn will be the first place we look! We want to try the other rooms, after all!

Our room had a fireplace, which would be perfect for a cozy winter visit (it was a bit too warm to use during our stay!). I especially loved the clawfoot tub -- super relaxing -- and the bath caddy was such a nice touch for reading in the tub. Breakfast was delicious, but definitely make your breakfast reservations early since the time slots fill up fast. The only small hiccup was that I booked through a third party (Chase), so they didn't have my direct contact info to let me know the room combo, but the staff was great and eventually got in touch. All in all, a lovely and charming place to stay -- I'd love to come back in Winter to take full advantage of that fireplace!

We had a big front porch overlooking a covered driveway for our car and a hot tub in the back yard too! Drive to Ft Collins is approx 30 mins and a gorgeous drive around Horsetooth Reservoir. Great location for trips to Estes or Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park as well. Wonderful history and Stephanie is a jewel. House is large, but broken down into several private rooms. Very nice bathrooms and Family Room and Kitchen is perfect---very roomy. Everything is there to make your stay feel just like Home!! Grounds are beautiful and nice decks for relaxation as well. Had baby goats there in mid May which Stephanie's kids (great youngsters in 4H) came over to feed,etc. PERFECT place for a large family or group of friends needing separate private rooms. If we were planning a wedding---this place would be top of the list for out of town visitors who would appreciate a taste of real Colorado. They do set-ups for wedding down in the valley---a couple of rock throws from back deck----would be a memorable setting. Stephanie was "above and beyond" during our stay. We could imagine John Wayne being right at home here. Loved the decor in our room and the bed was very comfortable. Learning about some of the history of this property and surrounding areas from Cowboy Bob was an added bonus. Fishing and wine on the bridge - one of the many unique amenities at Whiskey Belle. Fishing was great. The bridge has been converted into a rustic outdoor dining area complete with a camp fire. The resident canines "Mist" and "Double Shot" were so friendly and we enjoyed watching them play. Breakfast was to notch and delicious, made with love and fresh ingredients. Our favorites were the homemade quiche and the palisades peach jam. We actually felt as though we were visiting with friends. Bob & Alana were the perfect hosts from our first contact with them to our wave's goodbye. We will definitely be coming back to the Whiskey Belle...hopefully very soon!
