Such a fantastic place to visit and stay. Peace of mind after a draining week. Highly recommend.

We liked to renovated look of the accomodations with fresh paint, new lighting and a functional looking kitchenette. The shower was a surprise when we saw a washcloth in the floor but it was clear the reason was to mute the sound of the leaking shower head. On Thursday morning we found the shower had additional issues: the valve was loose and getting warm water was quite a trial and error process. This wasn't improved by the shower head placement of six feet up in the shower stall. It's impossible to direct the spray downward. Oh well, we thought, at least we aren't camping. But the housekeeper we flagged down told us our room wasn't "on the list" to be cleaned Thursday. We had to ask her for clean towels. We assumed our room would receive attention Friday. Come early Friday morning we arose, showered in the defective shower, and went to our event for the day. Imagine the surprise when we returned 15 hours later to find no one had attended to our room, not even to leave clean towels. As our increasingly bad experience accelerated, the Lodge office was closed and there was no way to contact anyone regarding the lack of basic hygienic supplies. Unfortunately, we're in town until Monday morning. There are no other lodging options. We have commitments that start before the office opens and extends past its closing. We are doomed to endure remarkably intense neglect from the management. Despite promising daily housekeeping we are experiencing a total lack of any from Stone Mountain Lodge's manager. On the up side, if you have a reservation here, the spectacularly inadequate signage makes it difficult to find the entrance. If you have a reservation at Stone Mountain Lodge and miss its entrance on the curve of the two lane mountain highway, just keep driving and count yourself fortunate.

We've visited several hot springs over the years - there is something special about this place. The history alone is incredible. People have been soaking in these mineral waters for well over a century, and the springs themselves have been used for generations before that. What we loved most was the character. The geothermal caves are unlike anything we've experienced elsewhere, and the large mineral pool under the tropical dome feels like stepping into another world. Surrounded by palm trees, tropical plants, and naturally heated mineral water, it's easy to forget you're only a short drive from Denver. The caves are a mix between a wet sauna and a plunge pool. Four pool options down there with the coolest at 106 degrees...that is the one we opted for. When we needed to cool a bit, we could just step out into the relaxation area. There is a side for women or men for the caves, so clothing is optional down there. If you're looking for a perfectly polished resort experience, this may not be your place. But if you're looking for a historic Colorado landmark with unique geothermal features, relaxing mineral water, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, Indian Hot Springs absolutely delivers. We'll definitely be back.

We went during the quiet adults-only pool time, expecting a peaceful, relaxing soak. Unfortunately, a few guests didn't quite get the memo, so just keep that in mind when booking. I would definitely recommend going with a friend or partner--it was a bit of a "couples' scene" later in the evening. The venue itself is super cute, with tons of plants surrounding the pool and a really nice atmosphere. There's also a convenient bar area nearby, which was a plus. The dressing room was a bit small and could use a few updates, but that's understandable given the building's age. Overall, I'd highly recommend it for a weekend getaway!

St Julien Hotel & Spa - We stayed in a King Mountain View room on the fourth floor of the hotel. The room was decorated in warm tones - chocolate browns and bronze.

We drove thirty minutes to boulder and she had the alpine massage which she raved about and loved but I had the mountain lavender massage and it was average at best. We had called the day prior to reserve the crystal mat for me and when I arrived they didn't have it. The lady doing my massage went out from the room, went to talk to some people and then came back and told me it was "in use". She then said she'd add on hot stones at no charge. They also cut my massage short as a result of it and yes we were about 4-5 minutes late but they were a bit disorganized. I paid for a 50 minute and really only got about a 30-35 minute and it wasn't all my fault. My therapist was alright but flustered and didn't ask me about pressure etc. It felt very rushed and I wasn't relaxed so for the price I paid I was honestly was pretty unhappy about it. Facilities were nice though- there is a sauna and steam room and you do get to use the hotel jacuzzi and pool. Again, to that add however the facilities were being taken up by a large bridal shower group and they were using all of the two personal change rooms and get ready space. It was very inconvenient to say the least and for someone paying, it felt like I was overlooked and maybe even a little in the way. I wouldn't be back based on the experience, for such a high end price tag I really felt service and experience would have been better. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend either.

While this place looks very rustic on the outside. They were very modern and neat on the inside. They were by far the cleanest place we have stayed at in the Gould/Walden area and we've been coming up here every summer for 5 years. The hosts are super friendly and took such great care of us. Gerry (with a G) and Millie are quite crafty making purses out of cowboy boots, fur coats, hats, boots, gloves, cell phone cases, clutches and more. The breakfast buffet is served from 7:30-9:00, the website hadn't been updated with the change and said they close breakfast at 10am. We arrived at 9:30 and were quite sad to find the buffet closed, however Gerry and Millie reopened the kitchen and made breakfasts for us! We promised to show up before 9am the next morning and found a buffet of the usual items including several different breads and fruits and breakfast burritos and home made green chili! We came back around 5pm from our adventures and Gerry invited us over to the main building for homemade ice cream! What a treat. Then they shared with us the tools of their trades for the various arts and crafts they produce. Very sweet of them. We stayed in the Bear cabin and it was perfect for 4 of us. It has a queen size bed in a separate bedroom and two twin beds in a loft. The small, but very functional, kitchen included a small fridge, a convection/toaster oven, a microwave, a 2 burner stove and a sink. A great experience... we'll be back next year if not before!

Milly walked us over to our cabin , The Wild Rose, and even found something for us to stabilize our kickstand on our motorcycle. Just a few minutes later, her husband Jerry stopped by to introduce himself. They are very nice people and greats hosts and cooks! Breakfast is included and cooked hot and fresh when you come in. There is also fruit, cereal and pastries. You can add supper to your stay by just letting them know the day before. There is not a menu, this is more of a bed and breakfast situation. Trust me though, the meals will not disappoint. ! Ours was a melt in your mouth steak cooked exactly how we wanted it. Served with bread, salad, potato, corn and cheesecake with fresh peaches! Our cabin was spotless and so comfortable. We enjoyed time on the screened in porch. We saw moose and deer by the pond located just steps from the cabins. They also provide fishing poles if you want to fish their pond. There is so much more to say but I encourage you to check it out on your own. If you are looking for peace, quiet and beauty, this is the place! Please note that our cell service was very spotty. That is actually a relief for us but the main office does offer wifi if you need to be more in touch! You need to visit Milly, Jerry and Toto!
