I enjoy this place. They try their very best to be accommodating. They are kind and respectful and the massages are very good. We usually do the chair/foot massage which includes soaking your feet and shoulder massage. They have you sit in a LZBOY chair and give you a blanket. I popped in when passing a few years ago and have been a regular ever since. There are 2 masseurs, Sam and Linda. Linda is a very small Chinese lady and has been my regular. You can temper the massage from mild to aggressive. The massage is basically the same every time but it beats any massage I've ever had. If it's fancy decor etc., you are looking for this is not the place for you. It's spartan to say the least but clean of course. Nice People. Go for it! read more

My husband called to make an appointment for us the morning of our anniversary for a couples massage. We thought everything was all set to go, but we get there and the man in the front (after beating around the bush for a minute) told us he gave our appointment time to someone else, we'd have to sit and wait 25 minutes and that we would have to go one at a time! That is not what we had in mind for our anniversary, we walked out and called somewhere else. But before we were able to pull out of our spot the man at the front desk ran out after us and told us he would give us a whopping $5 off our service if we would stay. No thanks!!! There are many massage places in Bethel, but Sam Massage & Foot Spa is by far my favorite! They provide quality-worth-your-money oriental massage and foot reflexology. I've tried both therapies and keep going back for more because it is simply the best in Bethel. It is best to make an appointment, but if you are lucky, you may be able to just walk in. Sam fixed the sciatica problem I had suffered with for years. He is very well trained and knowledgeable about every nerve and muscle.

Sam & Linda are a very welcoming couple and excellent professional masseuses. Both are trained in reflexology, accupressure, and full body massage. I had never tried reflexology before and learned how effective it is! Wow. I love full body massage and have a standing appointment now very week. My work out schedule at the gym and gardening hobby definitely makes it necessary! The spa is very clean and simple, quiet and relaxing. I can't speak to how the service was since the last time this place was reviewed, but what I can say is that after my visit today, it definitely does not meet the expectation or deserve of a 5 star Yelp review. So don't be fooled like I did. The place was plain and musty walking in. I did make a reservation but it didn't even seem like I needed one. There was only one other guest there. They guy who made the reservation for me ended up being my masseuse. Looking at the menu on their website, they offer services from hot stone massage to aromatherapy, ranging between $60-$80. Sounds reasonable enough, right? The masseuse had me in a room, and gave me about a minute to get undress, as if he's in a rush to get started. When I was ready and lying down, the only questions he asked me was if I've had massages done before, how long my massage will be and what my preferred level of pressure is. That was it! Sure, I would've love the aromatherapy but it doesn't seem like he was interested in selling anything... he just went straight to work. To my disappointment, I felt immediately uncomfortable with him. Now, I've done plenty of massages before so I know for a fact that when he rolled down the blanket to bring it down to my buttocks, it was lower than it needed it be. He seriously spent about a half focusing on one side of my body before shifting to the other. The hour long session could not have ended soon enough. When it did, I was more relieved from leaving that place than from the mediocre massage I was given. I've had better. Never would I return to this place. read more

I've been there 3 times. Once for a knot in my shoulder, once for headaches & once for general stiffness & aches & pains due to long term stress. Within 24 hours all of my symptoms were gone & have not come back. He barely speaks English but he knew what he was doing with minor medical complaints. For what I was looking for, I was extremely pleased & will definitely go back. If you're looking for scented candles & lovely ambiance, it's certainly not a spa and wouldn't be what you want but for no frills relief & relaxation at very affordable prices I would highly recommend him . read more
