Watch out for shocks! Feels weird to write a review about a park, but had to call out that every time I come here with my daughter, after running around on the Astro turf, for some reason we build up a lot of static electricity. This means all of the park amenities, which are metal, shock us. We also shock each other. I'm not a science person so can't explain why this happens (maybe the Astro turf), but have confirmed with some other parents that it happens to them to. Kind of makes the park unusable, as it literally happens every minute and some of the shocks are intense!

Extra points if you visit around sunset. It's small and parking is limited. Be prepared to park and walk - especially if you visit during peak times.

A couple things to consider as you are planning your trip to Kerry Park: 1) the park is located on a extremely steep hill (you can definitely walk to it, but you'll likely be exhausted walking all the way up to the top from lower Queen Anne), 2) if you are driving it may take some time to find parking as the park is tucked away in a neighborhood, and 3) Mount rainier is viewable from the park on a clear day, you'll want to stop by on a sunny and clear day if possible (the view is still beautiful if the weather is overcast, but it's even better if it's sunny and clear). When you arrive to Kerry Park you'll be greeted with a postcard perfect view of Seattle/the puget sound, and a relaxing atmosphere. It can get busy but spots will naturally open up where you can take photos. I'd recommend going close to sunset if you can time it. Btw, if you are a Grey's anatomy fan some of the house filmed at are tucked away in the Queen Anne neighborhood.
