I didn't just attend the prenatal classes but also all the classes I physically felt capable of. I 100% believe the classes helped to prepare my body for labor. Yoga teaches mental and physical resilience and A Gentle Way Yoga does this. When I recommend this studio to other people I call it "old people yoga" since the main clientele is older. But I loved that! It's not a place to compete or show case your latest active wear. It's a comfortable welcoming place! I always got a great workout and felt amazing after class. I love, love, LOVE that the instructors teach the modifications for every yoga pose! Not everyone has the physicality to complete every yoga pose exactly...cough, cough...me! At other yoga studios I would be made to feel inadequate, strained, dismissed and uncomfortable when I couldn't do a movement. I think that's why a lot of people give up on yoga. At A Gentle Way yoga they teach you how to get a great yoga workout even if you have physical limitations. They don't make you feel like a failure if your body says no to a particular movement. They work with you to get the most from you body. Before you know it you are actually getting better and not needing to modify at all!

I went last night to a complementary class together with a friend and we left not only very well stretched and relaxed (I slept 10 hours last night, maybe was also the added bonus of that French lavender pouch covering my eyes during the last 10 minutes of the class!) but very motivated. The yoga instructor emanated a very spiritual vibe, talking during the class about sympathy versus empathy and the power of active listening. And those ommms put you in the zone! Very welcoming studio, nice pale apple green color in the wall, big capacity but not overtly huge, clean and with the climate of a real practice going on (not too much light, the way I like it). I think the instructor made a big difference, I don't know how other teachers are there, but she was awesome. Also, they offer free classes for the military veterans and families, instructed by volunteers. This is a great opportunity for those who don't know the power of yoga and can enjoy it for free in a soothing environment!

Most students are regulars because the class is so fantastic. it is a type of yoga that uses a lot of props and there are sufficient props for everyone, as well as rope walls. The instruction is tailored to each student at all times... Throughout the entire class. You will never be left in a pose not knowing what to do. The teachers make adjustments continually for every student so that they are the most comfortable and getting the most benefit from the pose being taught. The class wasn't on fire but heated and I was still drenched in sweat afterwards but I wasn't gonna keel over and die like in the hot clases here. Yasmine's instruction is so solid and so good. Her play list is very good and this just an A+ class. This is my second time taking her class. When I come back to YogaSix, I am mainly going to take Yasmine's classes. Hard to get any better than her classes. Thank you again! Im not joining this studio as a member but occasionally I will come here as its close to where I am and like this heated flow class a lot.

I highly recommend Kajal because I prefer the traditional yoga, with quiet yoga background sounds, the quiet and expert teacher and she says the poses (asanas) using the traditional names for them. if you love traditional yoga as I do, please try Kajal's 10:30am classes!

The instructors were incredibly attentive to the modifications and alterations I needed throughout pregnancy, making sure I could safely keep up with the exercises while still getting a great workout. I was able to continue classes all the way until my last month of pregnancy, and the staff was always understanding and accommodating of my needs. I especially loved the different class variations and teaching styles each instructor brought, every class had a great flow and never felt repetitive. The instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely care about their clients. The staff is also so friendly and welcoming. I'm really grateful for such a positive experience and highly recommend this studio!

I started as an intermittent visitor when they were in the studio in the strip mall, joined when they were hanging out in Poway at the soccer park and continued the path as it moved to the business park. This is were life becomes a marvel! Challenges occurred. FWRD+ focused, stayed on track and prevailed. The new location is a class junkie's spaced-out dream! Yes! There is plenty of space, fresh air with giant fans, rollup doors and beautiful plants. It's at least 4 times the size. The vast lobby and the roomy classroom with the high-impact floors are touched with a tasteful decor. Multiply this with the quality classes, merchandise and other woman-owned options like Fresh Creations, you've got more opportunities. You can workout, hang out or even eat while you're becoming reacquainted with yourself, new friends or simply being.
