Pros- -massage table was comfortable - the place was easy to find. I chose to park on a side street and walk a block because I wasn't sure about parking -people were nice Cons - my room was fairly well lit. Didn't help with feeling relaxed -my masseuse didn't turn music on until about 6-7 mins in. So up till then all I could hear was outside the door and my masseuse's breathing. Ugh! -the music was light jazz which would have been perfect for a cocktail party. There was no spa music which usually gives me that "zen" feeling -what my masseuse did on one side of my back, she did NOT do to the other. She favored my left side for some reason -I kept feeling a pulling on the sheets and I wasn't sure what that was. She kept stopping and doing something to the sheets -her strokes were not smooth and uninterrupted....they were choppy -she did not guide my body into the places they ought to be. Most masseuses gently place your head, leg, arms where they ought to be and promptly cover what is not needed for warmth. -she was texting while giving me the massage. Ugh! THE BIG CON---she LEFT midway through my massage to check if her keys were in her car. Again, I've had massages all over the globe and never have I been left in the room. She didn't even add on time for the time she was gone! I almost walked out Usually with massages, I'm in a completely relaxed state and drift between asleep and awake. With this one, I left fully alert and anxious for it to be done. I felt like I needed to go to the spa afterwards :-(

When I showed up for my appt they told me I cant use the gift certificate and turned around and took $5 off the total of my gift certificate and they called it a "processing fee" None of what they said made sense and this is obviously not the first time this situation has occured. What was supposed to be the cutest gift and relaxing time ended up being an unnecessary headache. Do not recommend!!!!

I tried the traditional 60-minute massage. I didn't get a chance to try the hot stones, but I noticed they are available. The staff was professional, friendly, and welcoming. After the massage, they offered complimentary drink options that were not limited to bottled water. That was a very nice touch. One thing I thought was unique, and absolutely enjoyed, was being able to choose the music during the massage. They have Alexa available, so you can ask it to play whatever type of music you like. I chose reggae jazz, which created an almost island-style mood for the appointment. In all the years I've treated myself to massages, this was the first time I had experienced that. Alex was my massage therapist and he was very professional and courteous. This wasn't the regular run-of-the-mill massage (they get boring and monotonous!). Alex takes the time before the massage to go over any ailments you may have and goes over possible massage approaches that may help. For example, I experience frequent headaches/migraines, so he did some facial massage work. We also did some breathing techniques during the course of the 90 minutes. The heat of the hot rocks was a nice addition and really soothed my muscles. I walked out of there feeling better than I have in weeks. He also takes the time to talk to you after the massage to tell you what he noticed during it, and what to do different to feel better in daily life. He could even tell me what shoulder I wear my book bag on lol I would totally recommend this place even if you're just going for relaxation.

Then I met Alex. He is respectful, knowledgeable, kind, generous and a terrific practitioner. His only fault may be that he cares more about your well-being than you probably do. He really wants you to do your part in keeping your body happy so he will make observations and suggestions that you can use to maximize your health. The suggestions are reasonable and doable. If you participate you'll make strides, if not you'll just enjoy a great massage and get some temporary relief. He studies and practices true therapeutic massage. Do you want to feel better? Do you want to move forward with more knowledge? Do you want a partner in your striving for good health? Then Alex is your guy. If you want a fluff and buff go to someone else. Not because he can't do that but because it would be a waste of his considerable talent and knowledge. I've moved away from Rochester but I still travel an hour and a half to get a massage from Alex.

He was already with a client so was given Anna. A bit different technique, but equally as excellent! I did the add on of 30 minute foot massage. Anna worked out my knotted muscles, then I was able to stay relaxed on the table for the foot massage. Yep, already scheduled my next session.

If you're looking for a high-end spa experience, this place may not be for you, but if you need a back massage and don't mind a no-frills environment, I think they do a very good job. The individual booths are private. The massage itself is based on Eastern reflexology so it is different than a standard Swedish massage you may find elsewhere, but the technique still left me feeling relaxed and my back pain lessened after a 60 min massage.
