    Old cracked driveway

Sam and his son did a great job with my driveway, their price was better then competitors, he was reliable and always responded to phone calls. Sam was also forthcoming with his schedule and was able to find time to complete our driveway during a busy spring/summer season. After Sam was done he checked on the job days after to ensure we were happy.

Definitely recommend reaching out to Samco for your paving needs. I wanted to have our single-car driveway extended to wrap around our house to provide an additional off-street parking spot, and I called three different pavers. Of the three, Samco not only gave me the best quote, but also showed far more understanding of the challenges in achieving the desired result. After talking it over, and considering the so-so condition of the current driveway, we decided to redo the whole driveway and include the extension in the process. The main motivator was being able to get the proper grade set for rain runoff, which was previously running straight down into my garage. Again, experience showed here as Sam immediately picked up on the problem. On the day of the job, Sam showed up with his crew at around 8am and got to work quick. They had the whole previous driveway torn up in a few hours, and by about 3pm they were wrapping up. The whole team was super professional and clearly quite experienced. The result is a beauty. Nice, even grade in the driveway for rain runoff, and an extra bump of asphalt at the end for added runoff protection in the side yard where the extension is.

Despite the age of the driveway, he said it was in decent condition and said there were 2 options.

First time customer here, and The Drain Guys will definitely be my first call for future plumbing…read morework. From my first interactions I was impressed with the customer service. I solicited quotes from three companies to reline my 80+ year-old sewer line. One never delivered; Second quoted but was near impossible to get questions answered regarding the quote. Drain Guys quoted on the spot, and was extremely responsive regarding follow-up questions. The CIPP liner process is technically complex, and the team experienced some unforeseen complications. However, the skill, positive attitude, and perseverance of every team member when things got tough truly impressed me. The team worked very hard over several days, overcame major obstacles, and ultimately delivered a drain line that will hopefully last another 80 years. Despite the challenges, I never doubted I was in good hands with The Drain Guys and I would absolutely call them again. Special thanks to Adrian, Kevon, Oliver, Johnny, and Jay -- I appreciate you all! Chris

I called The Drain Guys on Thursday afternoon for a slow-draining bathtub after attempting to clear…read moreit myself. When scheduling, I specifically asked whether they could provide at least a ballpark estimate for snaking a bathtub drain. I was told there was no way to provide pricing information until a technician saw the issue in person. At the same time, I was assured their pricing was "the best in the business," that the owner operates with integrity, and that they are not in the business of gouging customers. Based on those representations, I agreed to schedule service. I was told that due to the snowstorm and several frozen pipe emergencies, the earliest available appointment was Saturday. I understood that weather can create legitimate service delays and agreed to wait. However, late Friday evening, the night before the scheduled Saturday appointment, I received a text stating the plumber would not be able to come because they were behind schedule. The next available appointment was Tuesday. That resulted in a five-day wait from my original call for a routine drain issue. When the technician arrived on Tuesday, I was quoted $550 to snake a single bathtub drain. The work took approximately 30 minutes. After receiving the quote, I texted the office referencing the earlier statement about having the best prices in the business. I was then told that they had not said that, only that their prices were competitive. If $550 is the standard rate for this service, that information could have been shared when I specifically asked for even a general idea of cost. Being told that no pricing guidance could be provided, while simultaneously being reassured about superior pricing and integrity, created expectations that did not align with the final quote. The technician did clear the clog. However, he did not remove his shoes or use protective coverings despite snow and mud outside, and water was tracked into the home. This experience combined a last-minute cancellation due to scheduling issues, a five-day wait for service, no upfront pricing transparency, and a $550 charge for approximately 30 minutes of work. Prospective customers, particularly those who are cost- or time-sensitive, should request written pricing information and obtain comparison quotes before proceeding.

Avoid This Contractor - Untrustworthy and poor workmanship- doesn't finish work after payment!!!!!!…read more I strongly caution anyone considering working with Frank(owner of the company)My experience with him has been deeply disappointing and costly. Initially, he seemed professional--responsive and quick to begin demolition and early stages of construction. However, once I made the second payment, everything changed. I signed a contract for a $70,000 project and paid him $36,000. After completing only about 10% of the work, he abruptly abandoned the job. He blamed delays on permitting issues, but I checked with the county and in reality, he failed to pay the architect and did not properly follow up with the county. Despite my repeated attempts to work with him--even offering to shift the funds to a different project--he remained unresponsive. One of the key reasons I hired Frank was because he claimed to be a licensed contractor. Yet, he never provided his MHIC license number or proof of insurance. I had to contact the state myself to verify his license and ultimately file a formal complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC). He left us with unfinished and poorly executed work--flooring, siding, and roofing were all incomplete or substandard. Please protect yourself, your home, and your finances. I'm willing to share documentation or further details with anyone who is considering hiring him. I'm posting this in hopes of preventing others from going through the same experience. I can be reached at rozinaye1@gmail.com. Avoid this company- Frank is a fraud!

One year ago today, 9/26/2024, this company demo-ed my sidewalk and left it for over a week…read more Yesterday I noticed the new sidewalk is starting to crack. Working with this group was very aggravating. They were slow to respond and did not complete the work in a timely manner. I had to call multiple times to get them to return and continue work. At the time I had a broken foot and had to navigate through the mess. They finally completed the work on October 19th, 2024. The original person who booked the work was unreachable for most of the time and someone who claimed to be his brother was extremely rude with each contact. One year later, the sidewalk is cracking. I have left a message for them and am waiting for a return call. Based on the reviews and their past track record wonder if I'll hear from them?
